I saw her at PJ's Pets and I fell in love. After a few visits my parents told me we would go for one last look-I bugged them so much! When we got there I wanted to rush ahead to the cage but my mom made me wait for my dad. When we finally got to the cage I only saw two things. The parrot I wanted and a big, pink sign on the cage that said "SOLD". I looked at my mom and dad. "Someone bought her." My dad looked away, my mom tried not to smile. "Did you ever think she might be sold to.... you??" I was so excited! One thing- I am not allowed another pet until I move out. But thats OK. I have Layna!. Awards

Hi! My name is Layna

I am a Red-Rumped Parakeet from Whitby, ON.

Squished in the corner of the cage while we are eating.
On her cozy corner bed.

When you walk away im the middle of a scratch.

She is very gentle with me. She is always trying to pet me (even though I usually don't want her to)but I let her know I appreciate it by singing to her and letting her take me around the house. I also lover her dad! My favorite person! Her mom too, and her sister are all very nice to me!

Biting your fingernails.
Flying to your head at the worst possible moments.

“Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings.”.
