FINNEGAN'S SO SORRY Oh, no! My friend Neko told me something dreadful happend to you. So I flew on over to his page and read all of your blogs to him and then over here. I am SO sorry. What a terrible thing to happen, and to a breeder no less! Of all the people who should know better. That is just amazing. You must be SO sad! Are you still going to get another CAG? From all that my Mom has read, Greys are not very suitable for apartments. Now what Neko said was right about every bird being different, and noisy households make for noisy birds. But we eclectus are considerably quieter and also very low key. Take me for example, I only make noise when I talk, and boy can I ever talk! I'm a really smart boy, and have picked up lots of words and phrases since coming to live with my Mommy and Daddy a year ago. I can say over 20 different things. Have you ever had a bird before? Mommy says that it's best to start out with a smaller bird as your first one. But if you still want a medium size bird like me, be sure to buy a book on the particular breed you want, and try to learn as much as you can before buying one and bringing him home. Momma says that I've already given you more unsolicited advice than I probably should have. But I hope this helps. You can write to me if you like. I wish you the best. Hugs, Finnegan P.S. Do you think that the breeder could have possibly sold him to someone else and told you he flew away? Did you give the breeder any money yet? Sometimes the person who shows up with the money first, gets the bird. Just a thought.Come visit me, Mr. Finnegan - Mourning my fister, Binky, Daisy - R.I.P. - BOTW 9/17-9/23/07 & Princess Lucy Blue Mourning my fister, Binky.

Hi Sully What a good looking bird. You don't look so scary. My mom thought greys looked a little scary and was always afraid to hold one that is another reason she chose me.Come visit me, Neko & Shasta.

Found out early! Thats ok, you know, there are a couple of birdies here that were named before their parronts knew their sex or were told that they were one sex and turned out to be the other, they kept their names the same its very hard to change a name once its been given especially if the bird is a talker. Neko is doing great just said " be quiet" for the first time, if he continues to say it we'll learn what it means and just maybe we will do it. Do you get to feed and hold Sully when you visit? It would be good if you did Quicker bond. I got Neko and Shasta from a bird store when they were ten months so I did not get to be a part of early life and it took a few months for us to trust one another. But now we are all just one big family. Shasta is still a little fearful but getting better by the day and not taking as long as Neko did probably because mom got better at handling birds.Come visit me, Neko & Shasta.

Name Change Well, as it turns out, Nala is a boy. I guess that's what I get for naming a bird before I even got it. I don't want to call a boy bird by a girl's name. So, my wife and I have decided to name him "Sully". He is still being handfed by the breeder. We won't have in with us for a few more weeks. Although, we are going to visit him this weekend. How exciting. . .Come visit me, Sully.

Noise We live in an apartment too. Neko is a little noisy at times but all birds are. In the parrot world ekkies are considered quiet, Shasta is much quieter hardly makes any noise at all. We never had a complaint about the boys, I have had Neko scream when I go outside and close the door he cant be heard well the birds outside make more noise so we don worry about Neko's occasional bouts of vocalizing. I don't know how well a grey would be suited for apartment living but there are plenty of owners who can tell you. Remember though you can only get general info each bridie has its own personality! I think, personally comming from a noisy house, the noise level in the home makes all the difference. Neko was much more vocal in the house. Are you planning on using a breeder or going to a pet store?Come visit me, Neko & Shasta.
