Good morning Apollo! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are making lots of friends here at the club. In answer to your question about WHY we pluck, my mom keeps asking the same question. In my case mom thinks it is because of the bad home I had. She also thinks once the habit is established it is hard to break. In my old home I had a buddy "Popcorn". We were in one cage and we used to mutually pluck each other. I won that one cause she was a Goffin Cockatoo and smaller. So I had her plucked bare except a few feathers on her head. Cody is one of my flock and she also practiced self mutilation but has stopped now. It's great to know that even though we have THE plucking problem it doesn't matter cause we are loved for the just being us. Well stop again sometime, I look forward to hearing from you. Hi Apollo! Welcome to the club. I'm a plucker too. Mom and I celebrate everytime I have a feather that I haven't plucked. Right now I have a couple of yellow ones. But I probably won't be able to resist. Actually I amy getting better. I look alot better than the picture of me on my web page. I have white and gray puffy feathers on my chest now. That makes Mom happy. I voted for you...stop by for a visit anytime. RenegadeCome visit me, Renegade, Cody & Danny.
