 I had been looking to adopt an African Grey for quite sometime but was having diffuclty as I could not afford one and felt better adopting one that needed a loving home rather then purchasing and supporting breeding. So one day, I brought my cockatiel, Jerry, to a local bird caretaker to have her wings and nails trimmed. I told him how I was looking to adopt an African Grey. Luck was on my side that day. He explained to me he had a friend of a friend who was giving their parrot away because they could not care for their bird properly since they were always away on vacation. Only a few weeks later I recieved a phone call. And only a few days later I visited the couple and met Shadow for the first time.
I fell in love with her at first glance.
A week later, I took her home with me. She has been my avian child ever since.. |

Hi from Gizmo
Welcome to Bird Channel! I have an offer for you...an invitation actually. WOuld you like to join my baseball team? Yes, we play ball here on BC, along with parties... and other fun. You do not have to be at the computer, or rather your parront doesn't have to be at each game. They are played by the roll of the dice, and the scores of each game are on my page after a game. Back several years ago, make that many years ago, some friends of hers moved to Sparta... it was a family with 2 children and a couple of cats. We know it is not you, but Mom got a good feeling when she saw the name. Mom met her friend here in mOntreal when they were teenagers, and stayed in touch off and on.
