It's Grover! Man, have I had a dickens of a time getting some decent BC privileges this spring. The weather got nice and my mom moved outside, abandoning the computer and my social interactions. With this rare moment of time, I'm here to say "HELLO!" so you know I've been thinking of you today. Wonder how all's going with the flock and that newest family member. Imagine she's getting quite big and all the more amusing to watch.

Life's good for this little 'Tiel... I'm living out in my 'bird barn' where I could be taking advantage of all the room to fly if only my wings were fully flighted. They were trimmed way back in November, maybe it was even October and the darn things have not yet grown back in. I'm really having to work to get around in this barn without the ease of a few flaps to get me up to where I prefer to perch (the top-most branches hanging from the ceiling). Other than that little fact, I've got no complaints. Hope you're to say the same. (That no complaints about life. Not the wing thing though I imagine you're trimmed as well, right?)

Take care, Friend. Hello to that cutie-gal of yours.

It has been too long and today I must share bad news that Maxi flew to the rainbow brige about a month ago. I am maintaining my weight and singing a lot. She did not suffer long. Hugs to you

Come visit me, Sunny(RIP) and Haley, Romeo and Julie(loving memory of Maxi ) & Tahoe and Pearl.

  Hello Charli ~
Kelly here to say "HI" and to let you know I've been thinking of you. Just wanted you to know that.

I've been able to spend some time out in the Bird Barn (a small barn... okay, "shed" that was stabled a couple of horses and is now a bird aviary) here recently. It's been nice to see some different sights beside the inside of the house. Don't get me wrong; I love my warm cozy house. But come Spring, it's nice to get out and feel the sun, the breeze, the excitement of the wild! (Okay, it's not so wild here. I live in the middle of corn country. There's just not much 'wild' here.) Winter's making another little visit tonight with chilling temps in the low 30s but from here on out, it looks like we're back in a warming trend, one that will allow me to return to my playtime in the barn. YaHooo!

Hope life's being good to you. Kisses from Kelly *v*

  To George from Grover
Hey! What do ya know; I got baby's name right! Yea for me. Are you going to share a picture of that little beauty for me? Just for a day, maybe. I bet she's as cute as can be! Maybe Charli will be in the picture seeing as it sounds like he really likes her. Does he imitate her noises? Oh! That'd be funny to hear if he does.

Yeah, that tornado was something. Glad it wasn't any bigger than it was. The building it took was the only one we could've spared. The rest are of major importance. Like the one your mom experienced, ours made a royal mess of the yard. The parronts spent weeks picking up tree limbs and branches. I've got spare perches to last me a lifetime.

Chirp-chirp about you and Daffney trying to give 'Baby Bird" a sibling or four. There are 'tiel eggs accumulating around here. My daddy-bird has turned into the territorial beast that he gets this time of year. Mom just steers clear of him, giving him his space and the time he needs to get this Spring Fling stuff out of his system. She will have to brave the dangers here before long to sneak into his nest box and swap out the eggs with plastic ones. Poor Dad-bird, wondering what became of his success rate of fertile eggs. I'll bet his self-confidence has taken a hit in the last couple of years. There's to be no more 'tiels here either.

Nice chattin' with ya, George. Hope your weekend's a good one. 'Tiel we meet again. G <")

OMGosh!!!!! Well, knock me down with a feather. I'm not believing my eyes. Be still my over-excited heart; it's my friend, Charli! Grover told me you were back but at first I didn't believe him. I mean, he's always chattering on about all sorts of nothing. I figured he was just delirious what with the spring breezes blowing and all. Then I sort of figured he was just teasing me, seeing as he knew how much I missed you. But then, when he told me he'd written to George and Daffney a second time, I was like, Okay, maybe he's not joshing me. Of course, he kept mentioning this after lights out when it was too late for me to be on the BC. Little bugger. Well, here I am, beak hanging open as I gaze at pictures I felt I'd never see again, happier than a grey bird in a peanut plant. It's wonderful to hear from you again, Charli. We've much to catch up on. I want to know how the baby girl is, what you think of her, what new and funny things you've said today, done today, inspired today. You always were an amusing character. I know that hasn't changed. If anything, it's only been enhanced in your time away.

I won't dump a bunch of stories on your now. We'll share them one at a time, savor them as we get back in touch in the days and weeks to come. Look forward to our future chats. Kisses from K *v*

Come visit me, Kelly.

Sly and flock. Boy you guys get to learn how to sound like a baby. Mom says that she can just imagine how that's going to be for your mom. You'll cry to get attention just like the skin baby. hehehe
So glad you can get back to the BC family too.

  A Note to George
Of course I remember Fred and Wilma. They were very much a part of the Royal Flock Saga. I'm so sorry to hear that they both gone. Just last week, and both so close together. How sad. I'm happy to say that all is good here with me and my flock. I don't remember when we last chatted but if baby (and for the life of me, her name is on the tip of my beak but I can't remember it Jillian?) if that little cutie is now 8 months old then we probably talked back in June last year. Did I get to tell you that we had a twister go through our neighborhood? It took out a shed just behind my Bird Barn where I was living at the time. The structure drug across the roof of my barn, tearing into the metal but not enough to cut through and allow my escape. Mom spent some tearful moment staring out into the storm, seeing this big white wad of white metal hanging in the big maple, not really able to tell in the dark if it was my building or not. Crazy woman should've been in the basement instead of looking out the back window. The storm hit without warning and by the time she got downstairs, the damage had been down. Happy to say, no birdie was hurt and neither was the llama that lived in that shed that was lifted from right over his head.
Other than that little event on June 18, life has been sweetly peaceful and very enjoyable. The winter was a cozy one here in the house in my new bird room where I'm able to be out and about all day. I'm tucked into a cage at night to prevent those night-fright flights. Life is good and I hope it's the same way for you and Daffney. How's Daffney health? She doing okay? And that wild child of yours? What's her name? Oh! So much to catch up on. Looking forward to all the chats with you once again. And tee-hee... I got to write to you twice before Kelly got to say Hi to Charli. Lucky me.

Later G <")

Of course we think of you often. Mom does too every time she drives by Front Royal to Staunton to see her friend. We are so happy to hear from you. So you have a skin baby in the flock? What a blessing to you all. We understand that is a big adjustment and we hope the little one enjoys you all. We are all doing fine and happy to see the snow melting finally. Thank you dear cousin!

I'm am nearly crying with joy at seeing your name on my page!! George!!!! This is unbelievably awesome!! I feared I would never see or hear from you again, that cute little human in your home having stolen the spotlight (and all that extra time the BC takes.) I'll bet she's growing so fast.

Oh! I just can't believe you're here. Wait till Kelly finds out!! She's going to be so excited. I'll be back with a longer, catch up note later but for now I just wanted to say "WELCOME BACK!"
