I said my name "Baby" over and over and Mom finally knew. I am a boy and found that out when mom took me to the birdy doctor. I have a sister that is a Goffin and a brother that is a muluccan. Mom has not been on bird channel much. Wanted to let you know that Mom's brother in law who lives in Cle-Elum is looking for a parrot. Hello Pepper~
How is everything going? I'm doing absolutely nothing at the moment! I've had some snacks and I've been talking to mom but right about now, I'm thinking it might be a good time to take a nap!
Mom has to run sister to work in a few minutes so I usually take a snooze while she's gone. It's only about 15 minutes but it makes me feel refreshed and I'm ready for more screaming and toy playing by the time she gets back!
I've got sunshine today and I'm going to have it for 4 straight days! It's been a while since that happened. It always makes me laugh to hear how the weather guys go on and on about records up here. I must say that I feel quite blessed to live in a place where the sunshine is the big news of the day. When I see some of the other places in the world having bad times, I'm glad I live in a town that CNN does not cover!LOL

Thanks for the message. Glad your family had the aviary moved for you. Everyones going to have a good time this year in a big aviary. Had a nice Easter Day, laid back and spent some time outside. Mom has to watch us like a hawk, at least until we get the big cage for outside.Mom's computer was down most of this week until Dad had a chance to fix it,so there was very little computer viewing this week. This is Kiki from Yakima Washington. Always like to meet birds and there people from Yakima. Bird club is in the tri-cities and my Mom Kathy goes there the second Saturday of each month. If you ever want to go contact us 426-2345. My siblings are a blue & gold macaw, goffin cockatoo, moluccan cockatoo, citron/bare-eyed cockatoo, severe macaw and dusky conuer. Try scrambles eggs and cream of wheat! They are yummy! And healthy!
Also pine nuts or palm nuts are great for me as they are what I eat in the wild

Mom did watch that Telegraph Hill movie it was on TBS and I think it was like half an hour into the movie mom had to turn it off. She could not stop crying. She cried all night, not getting any sleep. Yeah my mommy is really sensitive when it comes to that kinda stuff.

Hello to our washington friends
Mom said she visited in Redmond washington. Her first husbands sister lived there. they use to go to eureka montana every year for vacation. she loved the mountains and how beautiful idaho, washington and montana are. Of course they do not get the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that we get on the plains. but we also get the wind and much more snow and freezing temps below 0 most of the winter here. (sorry nothing gets capitalized tonight as miss gracie wants to sit on moms arm making it tough to type lol) It was a chilly morning again today but warmed up to almost 80. yes very soon the heat will be on all day here to. we live in an old farm house built in the 1920s. it has a front big enclosed porch and back porch added which really helps keep it warm. Of course we dont really use the front porch in the winter, but come summer the front porch is where we birds love to hang out. It is a large room with windows all across the front of the house , and big shade trees keeping it cool. So when we are not outside we can at least watch all the birds, deer and rabbits playing outside!!

mom has been to Washington, about 30 years ago. she loved the way it would rain in the mornings and the sun would be shining. Here in Nebraska when it rains it usually pours. especially this year , we had a lot of flooding out here on the plains. A swamp cooler would not keep it cool enough for us we have to have the A.C. Now it is time to get the heaters back on it was only 37 the other morning but up to 100 again on sunday. We know soon mom will not be able to take us all outdoors anymore, well not until spring!!! We hate the winter!!! So the other guys was kinda wrong about you being a boy huh? I think Ruby is a lovely name!
I hope everything is going great at your nest! Is it still warm there or has our rain and coolness moved over the Cascades into your neighborhood?? It was a very strange summer here. We had a few warm days, but mostly pretty mild. Everyone over here is not convinced that we are going to get slammed this winter! HAHAHAHAHA Last winter was mild here so I guess we are due for it. Mom could live without the ice cause driving isn't much fun then.
Did you guys get a 3 day weekend? Mom had to work but since she works retail, she's use to it. I don't mind at all cause we still get to spend the whole day together since she works nights. I got some new baby plastic keys to play with yesterday! I take a break from the wood sometimes and play with plastic baby toys and measuring cups! Measuring cups are so much fun to throw around!! You should try it if you get the chance!

Hi From Butters
Butters is in between the size on you and a military Macaw. At 1 lb and 24 inches long he is the smallest of the "large" macaws. I acquired Butters from a local breeder in AZ when he was 4 months old. Butters is now little over a year old.Come visit me, Butters.

We love your story and your pics. good thing you did not go to Alaska!! I am freezing just thinking about it.
I (Dazz) am getting over run here by cockatoos!! Would be nice if mom could get us another macaw!!! You know us macaws rule!! I am not afraid of the new member (the sulfur crested Gracie) She might be big but I can still scare her off our play tree, and make her fly hehehehe. Mom said I have to learn to be nice to her and to little Martha. Peaches is the only one I like. We have been cage mates for 8 years, and I always protect her!!
