My dalmatian had just passed away a month prior and after putting her to sleep I realized it is just too hard to go through that after having a pet for such a short period of time. Therefore, I did research on birds and saw that some live for 25+ years... ..PERFECT! I went to the pet shop to buy a sun conure but once I held the jenday I fell in love! I put my hand in his cage and he immediatley lifted his wing up to get a little scratch from me. My fiance saw how much I loved him so he bought him for me for Sweetest Day!!!.

Active within 2165 Days Hi! My name is Calvin I am a Jenday Conure from Williamsville, NY. Cal Cal; Scooter; Peanut; Pumpkin 9 years old F Jenday Conure Peanuts, bananas, Nutraberries Popcorn, apples, whipped cream. My owners shoulder! When not on my owners shoulder, I like to perch on my rope toy. Having to "step up" from inside my cage - I hate stepping up onto a finger! Also, once I am on my owners shoulder I gets upset if someone tries to take me off of it. She spoils me rotten!!! I get tons of cuddle time even though she just adopted an African Grey named LINDY. I forgive her for adding to the flock even though I would still like to be the only bird in the home. I like to rub my beak against my owners cheek. She was very impressed with that and thought I was being all loving but then she caught me rubbing my beak against the wall, the couch and my toys. I don't think she's flattered anymore.. Squawk until your hearts content. ......and then squawk some more! Oh, and guess what??? MY MOM JUST HAD ME DNA TESTED AND I AM A GIRL!.

Hey Calvin! Well, will they change your name to Cally now? My mommy named Jessie and I with names that could go either way until she DNA'd us just in case. Good news is, she pegged us both right from the start, just by our personalities. I'm a very demanding woman and Jessie is a wimpy guy. Hi calvin That is a cute stocking you have there. Our mom got into birds after she lost her 14 year old poodle, It is so hard to lose a dog, they just don't live long enough. We do have a party colored poodle sibling now, she is white with black spots and very cute. She's very wild though, we dont like her jumping around us. Mom says she loves her but she is not like Nicky her first poodle. Mom is really glad that we live a lifetime well almost for Sam.
