Hi Chirpy
Oh, we only had 80 degrees on Sunday ... just one day. Then Monday, was the very bad storm.
Today’s t-storm was very short. But, it rained all day. The next 4 days will be sunny and 56 to 62 degrees. Every bird that is enjoying warm temps, please enjoy it for me. I’m just thankful that we don’t have the destruction like Ok has.

The one grand and her dad went camping with the school and skin sis sure did miss them. The kids go every year at the end of 5th grade for 3 days and her dad went as a chaperone. Skin sis came to visit with us a good bit and mom said she could spend the nights to but skin sis wanted to be home with the dog at night. They are all home again and had a good time and will have many memories of the camping trip too. “Friendship, like flowers, blooms ever fair, when carefully tended by dear friends that care.” Leaving a big ole vote for you my friend….Chi chi.Come visit me, Gus & Chi chi ..

Mom and I cannot believe I am 9 years old already. I came to Mom when I was only a couple of months old and now I am a big boy and so independent. My entire flock lucked out because Mom cleaned all our cages outdoors and she gave every birdy a new toy, but I got TWO new toys and some treats. To make things better, I got BOTD. What more could a bird want. Spending a day in that Man Cave with King Jetta was something a bit different from the usual castle experience but it was loads of fun. Thanks so much for coming by to wish me a Happy Hatchday and to congratulate me on BOTD. I do hope you got a piece of the cake Lizzie baked - she is the best! Mom made cookies but they don't compare to the cake. Sorry Mom... giving Mom a kiss. Hi Chirpy
How are u sweetie? Mom only got a few blogs out yesterday, so she's sending the same blog with some new added to it! Mom got her cortisone injections in both of her shoulders yesterday, which she gets every 3 months. She usually gets some relief almost instantly, but her right shoulder actually feels worse today! Mom also went to her granddaughter's preschool graduation last evening! I had an exciting day today! It was mom's granddaughter Olivia's last day of preschool, & I got to go! Most of Livi's classmates came running up to mom at the graduation last night, very excited that I'm coming to their class today! Mom takes me to the preschool classes there every year, & I love seeing all the kids as much as they love seeing me! The only difficult part of any excursions, is mom getting me back into my carrier!
Mom is doing good today, but her nose is very sore! Mom has been giving me belly kisses for nearly 16 yrs, without incident! It's swollen on the right side & a bit bruised, even tho the damage was done on the inside! Because my nails & toes are so long, most of the damage was 2 inches down in the nasal cavity! The ER Doc said it was a good thing mom had previously had her adenoids removed, coz my nails would have destroyed the right one! Mom has to be rechecked in 2 weeks, or immediately if she starts bleeding again! She had to be cauterized in 4 different places & has to take an antibiotic! Mom said that the scariest part of having my toes stuck up her nose, was that she was very afraid my 2 toes would end up broken...mom was very relieved that my toes are absolutely fine! Mom refers to this incident as "NoseGate 2013"!
Mom doesn't want anyone to think that the ER Nurses & Docs were being discourteous, they were not! They were picturing a tiny pet bird, like a Budgie, not a large Macaw! Mom showed them a pic of me, they weren't expecting me to be so big! When mom said "Be glad I got her loose before I came in"! That's when they started laughing!

Hi Chirpy
Sorry I wasn’t on the BC on Monday. We had a very severe t-storm that lasted several hours. It cause some flooding, trees down, wires down, and no power in most of our county. Everything was back up and running this morning.
I was very, very scared and snuggled with mom the whole time, not making a sound. I don’t like rain and this was very bad. As soon as we could, we turned on CNN and saw the terrible destruction in Oklahoma. Keeping all those people in our prayers, so sad.

...we are absolutely heart broken over the loss of life and property in Okalahoma! Devastation such as this puts life into perspective, and with that comes a realization of just how fragile and precious life really is! Regarding the Raiders loss, I was just one biscuit short at breakfast, and I would have hit a Grand slam to win our game, that won't happen again! On the upside we are all safe and moving forward, please give my love to all in your happy little home, see ya tomorrow...

Sometimes we decimate stuff right away and other times we munch a lil bit and return later to polish it off. Furball just eats it all up in one sitting. Mom likes to drop lil tidbits in furball's bowl on top of the kibble for furball to discover later. Not quite like foraging, but guess it could be hidden underneath and be more of a surprise. We think furballs could benefit from foraging like us birds, don't you think?

The Miller flock is safe and sound .... that said ...
Yesterday was a very tragic day here in Oklahoma. Mom locked down for hours on the Air Force Base while Tornado ravaged the Moore area (just south of the base). We have many friends and Co-Workers without homes now. Civilian Co-Workers will have double whammy with the loss of loved ones and a triple whammy with the upcoming furloughs to start on July 8th. So far 91 is the confirmed dead count and its expected to rise as we have not located everybody yet. Praying for everybody affected ..... hoomans and animals alike

I am soooo excited cause we played our first game today and we won…by one point but a win at least!! Today was moms day out with the girls and though we missed her we know she needs these days too. Mom was with her sister and the skin sis and they went shopping and did lunch/ dinner together. How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

Mom had training for a new exhibit today called the Roads of Arabia, which will open in a couple of weeks, then she had errands to run. Today was sunny and a warm 80 degrees … FINALLY! I had a wonderful day. We had lunch and dinner on the patio. I was able to go outside several times too. The next two days will be severe t-storms and the temps will go down to 62 degrees. Was that summer today?????

We are ok ... daddy forgot Dory while mom loaded the rest of us up ... mom thought he had her as he told mom to go as he was taking his truck ... so glad tornado missed us ... mom will not ever allow that to happen again as that shows her daddy just cannot be trusted. Have a good night.

Yesterday was a busy day here for mom. First she went to visit with skin brother to give his middle child and moms grand daughter her birthday card and money for her birthday. Of course mom made her card and that one had a picture of her in it when she was younger so they always like those kind the best. Mom gave skin brother his birthday card too and moms daughter in law her card too and their birthdays are both next month. Skin brothers card had a picture of him when he was younger standing and rolling on a barrel and of course he told his children that wasn’t a smart thing to do now. Of course mom had to take pictures of them each with their cards to add in the albums too. Then mom went to the craft show and that was fun and you know she came home with some bags of course. When mom came home she cleaned our cages and fed us and fixed supper for her and dad. Pretty soon they got their baths and went to listen to some band with moms sister and her husband and grand daughter. The parronts were home pretty early though so we sat up with them a while and had loving time before we went to bed so was a busy day. I hope that Sunday is a warm day, so I can go out in my stroller.
Today was the Preakness Stakes. The winner was OXBOW. The KY Derby winner, ORB came in 4th. So, no Triple Crown again this year.
We had a rainy chilly day again. Sunday is suppose to be 80 and sunny. I hope so! Then two days of severe t-storms, then just rain and back down to 62 degrees. HEY! Where is our good weather? I’m still waiting!

How are u sweetie? Nothing much happened here today, except mom stayed home all day! We had a beautiful day of 78! I spent a lot of time outside today, but didn't get to drive my car, coz I don't really like to be out in the direct sun! Mom swears that I can smell when rain is coming, coz when it got real cloudy & looked like it would rain, I started freaking out & wouldn't let her take me off the porch! I ran up her arm & scrambled onto her back & told her NOOOOO, I hold on to mom's shirt, pant, & gently flap my wings, while on her back...mom calls it my rain dance I wouldn't get off her back & onto her hand until she went back inside! Mom calls Mom told me it was not raining, but I wasn't taking her word about it! I DO NOT like OUTSIDE shower baths!

Mom didn’t take the heavy winter covers off the beds and the other night they were all pushed to the floor. Summer came fast!! Yesterday mom took them to the Laundromat to wash them and bought them home and hung them on the lines to dry. Now the summer ones are back on the beds for a few months again. Time goes so fast mom will be putting the winter ones back on in no time again. How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!
I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!
The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

Hi Chirpy
How are u sweetie? Actually, it wasn't too bad being stuck in my cage, still covered & in the dark til 2:30 yesterday. Before bedtime Tuesday night, mom hung in my cage, the last one of Uncle Chuck's world-famous toys! The one that had my name spelled out...TIAMARIA! Mom is going to post a pic of what's left of my toy in my gallery! I worked it over good! So at least I had something fun to do during my unscheduled confinement period! Thanks again sweet Uncle Chuck, my toys were awesome & I thoroughly enjoyed them!
I am thoroughly enjoying mom's guilt trip! She can't do enough for me today! She's waiting on me beak & foot...even more than usual & doing & playing everything that I want to do! She even said I was having sketties & mandarin oranges for dinner! The few hours of solitary confinement was definitely worth it...considering the VIP treatment I'm receiving today! Plus, SHE hasn't left MY side all day! It was an EXCELLENT day to be me! Can't wait til the NEXT time mom screws up! Hehehe!
We've been having lovely weather here...84 yesterday, 80 today, mid 70s-80 for the next week! 40% chance of thunder BOOMS Wednesday, & 50% Thursday!

Since the bakery forgot to make the cake dad ordered for his BD to take to the coffee shop to share with his friends (mom was at work) mom made an Angel food cake for him. Got fresh strawberries to go with. She's gonna offer us one. We've never seemed to like it before, but other birds say the lil seeds are yummy. Have you tried strawberry?

Today it's warm and sunny, and mom has to go to the museum for a tour. She still has some things to plant, so hopefully the sun and warm will last until she gets home. The CJCs play their first game today, so be at the stadium for a chance to get the prize inside! You know how CrackerJack always had a neat prize? Well, the conures will have them at some of the games this year as well. We're not saying what today's prize is, just show up at the stadium for a chance to begin collecting them all.
