nuts, bread, pork rinds(very rarely and in tiny amounts), unsalted pretzels, millet.
 near his owner, his "condo" (the bottom level of the bookshelf, lined with a pillow case and decorated with a mirror and his stuffed animals for cuddling)
 my owners husband, other birds
 neck rubs, all the attention, singing songs and playing copycat!
 shreds paper, sings when rubbed with any fabric, knows many songs, plays peek-a-boo, follows me everywhere, very needy and old...but soooo sweet.
 Im so old...LOVE ME NOW!!!!!!!!.

hey cheevie
you are to be commended for that 28 years. just a coincidence, my little zack lived to be 28 years and boy did he enjoy his snacks, especially the salty ones. can't say that it harmed him. favorites were pringles, wheat thins, rice cakes, cheez-its. zack was first my brother's bird-till he moved away and got a cat, then to my mother who kept him till she got 2 cats-so he had to stay in the cage tooooo much. so we stole him from her-with blessings-for his final 10 years.
he also was a standard gray. what a guy-loved to type and look out the window at the beach below.

Sly here. Hey you DO need a Grey in your flock. To bad you're so far away, I'd gladly give you my foster frother, Reggie. Don't tell mom that tho. Even though he's not going to live here, mom told me not to try to give him up. Hey, what's a guy to do? Reggie wants to have moms attention and she's MINE! I guess I should admit he's not that bad. Have your parront check into the local bird rescue/bird club and maybe the local humane society. Mom is a rescue/foster with the local bird club. Keeps her busy. At the annual adoption day last weekend mom got 4 people to sign up for the bird club and they all were interested in the foster program. That is wonderful because right now there are only the 3 homes for fostering. And then two more signed up the next day. Again mostly for fostering. We're so happy.
Anyway, even without a Grey in your flock you have a very attractive one. Your Kiwi the boss? Mine is. Boy is he ever!
