 I advertised my female lovebird on Craigs list because she just wanted to breed and wasn't a good family pet. A breeder (Amy's Aviary)answered my ad and paired her up with a single male lovebird to breed. I found out that Amy also bred green cheeks and had eggs ready to hatch. That is how I found my baby girl. The breeder mommy had the egg shell DNA tested at my request so we are sure Gracie is a female.

 She holds me whenever she is home, spoils me rotten with a big cage and lots of toys, And loves me to pieces. She never gets upset when I have a big birdy accident on her or the couch.
 She loves to lay on her back in my hand when she is tired and rub her own head with her foot. (Soooo cute!)
She also goes crazy chasing her little plastic balls around..
 I have my mommy wrapped around my little beak..

Awwwwwwww, Baby Girl you are beautiful!!!
Thank you birdie friends and family for pecking a vote and enabling me to be Birdchannel’s Bird of the Day! Only one glitch: the castle staff had to re-adjust the crown … King Sly’s head was a bit larger than mine!!! Hehehehe … no problem! Once that was done I was good to go and waddle about the castle and chew on some royal wood. Wow what a place!!! To celebrate the day, and to THANK YOU, Queen “Dusty” and I are hosting a fun Texas Style BBQ. My good friend and Wonder Wings Co-Captain Pico will be an honored guest … he nominated me for this prestigious award … what a pal!!! There is food, drink, fun and games galore! Also, a little birdie told me the “Dixie Chicks” might make a surprise visit!!! So, put on your cowboy boots, grab your flock, your family and your friends and come on down and stay until they kick us out! Yeeee Ha! What a great day!!!! Thank you!
