Hi Budweiser!
Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!

Today's activity was kayaking. Mom enjoyed it for about ten minutes, until grandma made her help paddle. Then she totally hated it. She said she felt like her arms were going to fall off. :P They were supposed to see a bunch of dolphins, but they only saw two and they were far away. Mom did take some pretty pictures for you guys to see! They are in my gallery.

SMART PARROT

A guy goes to a pet shop to buy a parrot. There he sees a parrot with a red string tied to its left leg and a green string tied to it's right leg. He asks the owner the significance of the strings.

"Well, this is a highly trained parrot. If you pull the red string he speaks French; if you pull the green string he speaks German," replies the shop keeper.

"And what happens if I pull both the strings?" our curious shopper inquires.

"I fall off my perch you fool!!" screeches the parrot.

Hi Budweiser!
Mom went to a petting zoo today! As you can imagine, she was quite thrilled, because she adores animals. There were goats, alpacas, pigs, sheep, donkeys, bunnies, a chicken, and mom's favorite, a deer. She was the only animal that was not in a pen, and she was really sweet. They got some feed for the animals, and she enjoyed feeding them. She didn't get many pictures though, because her hands were covered in slobber. :P Outside of the petting zoo, there were a bunch of beautiful horses. Mom just LOVES horses. She got to feed a big clydesdale an apple, and he got her hand so sticky! :P She, however, loved it! She was not happy when it was time to go to the beach, because her bathing suit was rubbing on her sun burn and it really hurt! Today they went to the beach at 7pm, so it wasn't very hot. THANKFULLY! The tide was coming in, and the water was all funny. Mom, Auntie Ellie, Grandma, and friends Laura and Jill went on a crab hunt! They found soooo many animals! They found 5 star fish, 2 slugs, and a bunch of clams and hermit crabs! Don't worry! She let them all go before they left. It was funner then yesterday.

JESUS IS WATCHING

A burglar got into a house one holiday night. Shining his flashlight on the floor in the dark, he heard a voice say, "Jesus is watching you."

He looked around nervously, shook his head, and kept looking for valuables. He heard again, "Jesus is watching you." This time he shined his light all over, and it rested on a parrot. He asked, "Did you say that?" The parrot admitted that he had. "I'm just trying to warn you, that’s all."

The burglar sad, "Warn me, huh? A parrot? Who are you? What's your name?"

"Moses."

"Well, what kind of idiot would name a parrot Moses?”

The bird answered, "The same idiot who would name a Rottweiler "Jesus”……

For some reason you're attracted to anything with a bird on it... greeting cards, dishes, mugs, clothes, jewelry...

THE PLUMBER

A lady was expecting the plumber; he was supposed to come at ten o'clock. Ten o'clock came and went; no plumber; eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock, one o'clock; no plumber.

She concluded he wasn't coming, and went out to do some errands. While she was out, the plumber arrived.
He knocked on the door; the lady's parrot (did I mention she had a parrot?) said, "Who is it?". He replied, "It's the plumber.".

He thought it was the lady who'd said, "Who is it?" and waited for her to come and let him in. When this didn't happen he knocked again, and again the parrot said, "Who is it?". He said, "It's the plumber!".

He waited, and again the lady didn't come to let him in. He knocked again, and again the parrot said, "Who is it?". He said, "IT'S THE PLUMBER!!!!!!!!".

Again he waited; again she didn't come; again he knocked; again the parrot said, "Who is it?"; "Aarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!!!" he said, flying into a rage; he pushed the door in and ripped it off its hinges. He suffered a heart attack and he fell dead in the doorway.

The lady came home from her errands, only to see the door ripped off its hinges and a corpse lying in the doorway, "A dead body!" she exclaimed, "WHO IS IT?!".
The parrot said, "It's the plumber."

You call family members/or when they come home, the first thing you say is "Guess what the bird did today..."

GOING, GOING, GONE!

One day a man went to an auction. There, he found an exotic parrot. He really wanted this bird, so he got caught up in the bidding. He kept bidding, but kept getting outbid, so he went higher and higher and higher.
Finally, after bidding much more than he had intended, he finally won. The bird was his!

As he was paying for the parrot, he said to the auctioneer, "I sure hope this parrot isn't defective. I'd hate to pay this much money only to find out that he can't talk!"

"Of course he can talk," said the auctioneer. "Who do you think kept bidding against you?"

PET SHOP PARROTS

A man goes into a pet shop to buy a parrot. The shop owner points to three identical-looking parrots on a perch and says, "The parrot on the left costs $500."

"Why does it cost so much?" asks the customer.

"Well," the owner explains, "that parrot knows how to do legal research."

The customer asks about the next parrot and is informed that it costs $1,000 because it can do everything the first parrot can do plus it knows how to write a brief that will win any case.

Naturally, the increasingly startled customer asks about the third parrot.

"$4,000," says the shop owner proudly.

"Wow!" the customer exclaims. "What can he do?!"

"To be honest," the shop owner admits, "I've never seen him do a darn thing, but the other two call him Senior Partner."

RUDE PARROT

A young man named Jon received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity.

Jon tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary. Finally Jon was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. Jon shook the parrot and the parrot got even angrier and ruder.

Jon in desperation threw up his hands and grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then, suddenly there was total quiet, not a peep was heard.

Fearing that he had hurt the parrot, Jon quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto Jon's outstretched arm and said "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I am sincerely remorseful for any inappropriate behavior."

"I fully intend to do everything I can do to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior".

Jon was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. He was about to ask the parrot why he had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, but the bird continued... "May I ask what the turkey did?"

Two morons stand on a cliff with their arms outstretched. One has some budgies lined up on each arm, the other has parrots lined up on his arms.

After a couple of minutes, they both leap off the cliff and fall to the ground.

Laying next to each other in intensive care at the hospital, one moron says to the other, "I don't think much of this budgie jumping."

The other moron replies, "Yeah, I'm not too keen on this paragliding either."

A postal carrier is working on a new street. He comes to a garden gate marked BEWARE OF THE PARROT! He looks down the garden and, sure enough, there's a parrot sitting on its perch. He has a little chuckle to himself at the sign and the parrot there on its perch. The mailman opens the gate and walks into the garden. He gets as far as the parrot's perch, when suddenly, it calls out: "REX, ATTACK!"

You drive around on recycling day looking for the biggest piles of newspaper to steal and feel guilty when people look out their windows and pity you.

THE COURTEOUS PARROT

A lady is walking down the street to work and sees a parrot in a pet store. She stops to admire the bird. The parrot says to her, "Hey lady, you are really ugly." Well, the lady is furious! She storms past the store to her work. On the way home she saw the same parrot in the window and the parrot upon seeing her says, "Hey lady, you are really ugly."

She was incredibly ticked now. The next day on the way to work she saw the same parrot and once again it said, "Hey lady, you are really ugly." The lady was so furious that she stormed into the store and threatened to sue the store and have the bird killed. The store manager apologized profusely and promised the bird wouldn't say it again.

The next day, when the lady walked past the store after work the parrot said to her, "Hey lady." She paused, scowled with an icy and deadly stare, and said with a hoarse voice, "Yes?" The bird, strutting back and forth on its perch in a cocky manner, said, "You know."

... weiser. (he hee) I love stories like the one about your group all being named after Mexican beers. Either you had a really big group at one time to run out of potential names or Mexico doesn't have that many different kind of beers. I'm sorry to hear that so many of your little 'Keet family have passed away, including Sophia. I'm part of a family of 16 now. Several of the group died over the winter, one due to very old age, another to an injury, which really made my mom sad. Do you have a special gal~pal in your group? I don't. I like'em all! My sister though, she has a special guy and they had four babies this winter. Mom said that was the highlight of the season, watcjing those four babies grow.

Members of my flock would agree with you on baseball messing up blogging time. I'm not complaining; I'm getting to blog BECAUSE of baesball so I'm lovin' it!

That's the wildest thing that your dad found kittens under the hood of the truck. Good thing he happened to look there before starting up the engine. Mom loves calico cats. She's never met one that didn't have the sweetest personality.

Yup, see you at the stadium on Thursday. I'll keep that in mind, that those white guys don't move as fast us as us little 'keets. We should be able to outrun them to the bases, no problem!

I've got to ask, how'd you come by your name? (This story should be a good one.)

Well, we've got us another game today. We're taking on the Pois'n'Dem. They're one tough team but I say if we can beat the Mighty Macaws, we have every potential of doing the same thing with the Pois. You can bet that's what I'm hoping for.

How are things at your house? Hot? It's been warm enough here for me to be able to move out to the Bird Barn but I hear it's going to be cooler for the next couple of days so I'll have to hope that at least the sun shines and I can warm myself in the aviary area. It was raining the other day and I was having a riot playing in the water. When the rain would stop, I'd hang on the top wiring and rub on the water droplets. Mom got the biggest kick out of that, I guess. Interesting thing, it's tough to fly when you're THAT wet!

It's amazing, I think, that we Keets are going to get to play baseball this year. For a minute there I was thinking there was going to be a season without us represented in the league, but at the last minute, Coach Muffin pulled a team together and here we are, ready to run with the big dogs. I mean, the big birds! I bet, just like in the past, we'll be this amazing team with the most incredible sense of team spirit and sportsmanship. I'm really proud to be playing alongside you, Budweiser!

We came by to say hi since your frother Scion wrote our fibling Annie, and read about your loss. Our hearts go out to you. Our fibling Sally went to the Bridge 2 weeks ago, so she'll be there to greet him. Like you say, "We keets have to stick together!" so we're standing with you in your loss.

Hey You Guys........don't faint but its Sonny here.....sorry its taken me so long to fly by!! Really appreciate your Mom's kind words!! My Mom did finally have her surgery 5 weeks ago and she's doin good! Had a few set backs but nothing major, goes to Houston every week to Dr. of course I have to stay home alone!! Yuck!! There's so many in your family now I guess there's never a dull moment around your place! That's what I need......some excitement and drama!! Having 2 retirees here not a lot going on!! My Mom is looking forward to when she can get out and do some yard work and walking exercise.......course now its turned HOT!!
We need rain also!! Hope thing are good down your way, fly by and fill us in when you get the time, do love your visits!
