 Woody, my best 'tiel friend, past away after being with me for close to 11 years. After I got over losing her, my girlfriend and I decided to get a new fid. After trying to figure out what to get, we decided on an Ekkie. We found a terrific breeder, and she moved in on September 24!. |

I'm alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got the results from my follow up blood work today. My liver enzymes are within the normal range!!!!!!!!!! No more meds, just stay on my new diet and get another blood test in 6 months!!Come visit me, Forest, Mack - RIP March 2008, Lindsay, Poco - RIP September 2008 & Twinkle - RIP January 2009.

Hi from Buddy and Lil Bird
We just said hi to your Dove friend and thought we'd stop by. Mom just read about your vet visit..Mom and Dad must have been so worried!!What kind of symptons did you have? Buddy had some infection at his first visit so he had to have medicine every day..it wasn't easy giving it to him either...whew! Well, take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing, ok? My Trip To The Vet
I went to the vet for my yearly wellness checkup and it was not a fun trip this time. Dr. Jeff told my mom and dad that I was very sick. Dr. Jeff wanted me to stay over night at his office so he could take some of my blood the next morning. Mom and dad looked so worried and afraid to leave me there, but they knew I would be taken care of very well. Dr, Jeff gave me some really good food, something with a mixture of seed, pellets, nuts and other stuff. I got to eat until that night when the nice lady came and took away my food and said I couldn't have anything to eat until after Dr. jeff took some of my blood the next morning. The next Morning when Dr. Jeff came in to the office he gave me shot and I went to sleep. When I woke up he had taken my blood and the nice lady was holding me in her arms. Dr. Jeff soon called my mom and told her she could come take me home. I was so happy to see mommy when she finally got there. We went home and I got to sit on daddy's lap for a long time. The next day Dr. Jeff called and told my mom I had liver disease. I have to take Sam-E medicine (medicine given to alcoholics for liver disease) for a month and Bird bene-bac. Then I will be going back to see Dr. Jeff. He will take some more blood from me and check to see if I am getting better. I am feeling better already. I will let you all know what Dr. Jeff finds out when he checks me out at the end of this month.Come visit me, Forest, Mack - RIP March 2008, Lindsay, Poco - RIP September 2008 & Twinkle - RIP January 2009.

Hey red head
So are SI just as sassy as Vos's?? our little red got out recently but after 50 hours in the wild she was found!! Our lives would have never been the same. She was so tired, hungry and excited to see us. We are now expecting aviator harnesses by the 4rth. No more chances! I like your nickname! I am a male eclectus and live in Ohio too, Columbus! I am only 6 months old and have lived with my owners 2 months now. I am used to them now and enjoy hanging out with them. My mom has a daycare and those kids scare me a little bit too. I still eat in front of them though. Nothing stops me from eating! Geesh! Those kids aren't in the same room with me like they are my crazy African Grey brother Tucker. He loves being around those busy kids! I just hang out on my cage in the family room. When those kids go outside they have to go (run) by my cage. My mom always warns me by saying Marley here comes the kids! I get up as high as I can, stretch out my neck and watch them go by. They are rather interesting! MarleyCome visit me, Marley & Tucker.

we love eclectus parrots we have a male soloman island, he is my daughter's bird. jack was bird of the week last week. who was poco's breeder? we lost touch with jack's breeder and a search shows she may have passed away. we would love another ekkie but don't know who would be good. here's a vote for you're pretty girl... autumn's momCome visit me, Pepper, J.B. and welcome to the channel! My mom loves Eclectus parrots! You're a very beautiful bird...but I bet you already knew that! So you like to play with wash rags? Well, I'm not saying 'nuthin' about that one....I was once in love with a plastic peanut. Mom said that I started to do "not very nice things" to my beloved plastic peanut so she took it away.
