I already had a Blue front Amazon of my own and purchased my son a Congo Grey for college graduation. While visiting the aviary where the Grey was adopted I noticed two baby macaws in one of the cages and fell in love. I was told the Blue and Gold was not sold. After contemplating a few days I called to tell them she was coming home with me. I visited her often, learned to hand feed her and the final month before she was weaned she came home with me.. Hi! My name is Bella

I am a Blue-and-Gold Macaw from Newark, DE.

Bad Girl

9 years old   F

Blue-and-Gold Macaw

Yogurt covered peanuts ~ Made for birds of course.

On top of her 6ft cage.

When she is out with the other birds and sees that I am paying attention to them instead of her, she will chase them away to get to me.

I love her beauty and her inquisitiveness- . Am amazed at her intelligence and strong will. She is quite the escape artist and can open any toy clamp ~ only to drop it on the floor and to say "Uh Ohhhh". She is feisty and yet can be so loveable at times (she will coo). She always wants me to hold her and will put her feet out for me to pick her up. She and my Amazon Barney are paired together and to see them preen and care for each other is truly a gift. Always good for a laugh you will hear Bella calling from her room asking, "Bella! Are you a bad girl?"

She hangs upside down and flaps her wings to music. It's her way of dancing..

  Hello from Starburst!
Just wanted to stop by and say hello to a fellow macaw. I am a Catalina macaw. We have 3 amazons in our flock, too. You sound like a lot of fun. When the amazons are being noisy I will yell at them "Stop". Mom and dad always laugh when I do that. They also laugh when I answer them "No" after they ask me if I did something, like the other day when they asked me if I laughed cause I pooped on the floor. When they asked me if I laughed I said "No". Well, I have to go for now. Stop by anytime. C ya later!

Come visit me, Jade, Merlina, Starburst, Pipper & Sunkist.
