A note from Sierra to all of her friends
I just wanted to stop by and wish all my friends here on Bird Channel a nice weekend. Today is a very special day for me and my Erin. We are celebrating my 1 year of coming to live with Erin!! We are so happy today! It's seems like Erin and I have been together forever, but yet we both can't believe this day is here. It was an uphill battle (guess mom named me right, Sierra means jagged mountain range.) Just to think a year ago I was afraid of everyone now I have nothing to fear, well almost. Erin says I have grown by leaps and bounds, this past month have have also decided its okay to let select people hold me. We both feel so triumphant! It's so wonderful to live a normal happy life. Today we shall celebrate with some birdie bread and new toys!! I can't wait to get the party started :) we will take pictures and post them at a later date. So in honor of me please do something fun with your parrot today! Birdie hugs <3 SierraCome visit me, Sierra & Sam.

Miss Pookie Parrot loves the shower
Here in my house, the shower in the bathroom has a mist setting. It's the best! Mom puts me on my bathroom mirror perch and turns on the water, and the whole room is warm and steamy in a couple of minutes. Then, she checks the shower to make sure it's safe. And when she calls me, I go right to her arm and we step in. I never go right in the water spray, only the mist, just a little. But it's enough for a shower for me. We like to stand there a few minutes. Then we stand on the bath mat and shake. And I dry off in the warm room or another warm area. Showers are especially nice if you are getting new feathers.Come visit me, Miss Pookie Parrot & Bodhi Parrot.

just a warning form autumn's mom. suns are very demanding and loud. we keep autumn away from the other birds in her own room because she gets the other birds going and then there is lots of noise. we love her dearly but that may be something to think about before getting one. have a good day..Come visit me, Pepper, J.B. Thats cool i have never seen a gold capped. How nice that you are pretty quiet. Our Sun conure is very loud. We live on a busy street so i think the cars drown out most of the noise the neighbors would hear. She lives in our upstairs and is almost unbearable at times. We love her very much though she is very cuddley and has a great since of humor. She can dance and laugh and enjoys hanging by one toe!
