I saw you there at the Dragon Cave, so yes, you did wish me a happy birdthday! Wowo! BOTD! I never ever imagined that would happen! And it is so wonderful that everyone was able to come back for even more fun and food and celebration! Jetta totally wiped me out with all the fun things to do at the Man Cave (formerly known as the Castle). I think I like the pinball games alot--or maybe it is all the noise and bright lights? In any case...thank YOU so much for making my Hatchday special, and for letting me experience the Castle. I have had a blast!!!! And I could not have done it without you.

Heya, Miss Cheyenne! Game tomorrow!
On Wednesday, we have game two of the season against the
Kevlar Keets. Never underestimate the Keets--they are
playing in the stadium that bears their name, and they are
force to be reckoned with!
Of course, both Co-Captain Calico and I know we have a
team that is strong, and coming off our first win--so we
are pretty confident that we can keep things on the
winning side!
Practice will be an hour before the game, so come early.
Get a good night's rest, and eat a great breakfast, too!
Lizzie will be providing snacks for us during the game, as
she does all the time. And afterward we can get together
at the Bar and Grill to kick back and relax!

How is your weekend going? Mom had some running around to do this morning and got home after 1:00. After putting groceries away and cutting up fruit and veggies for us she had to start dinner in the slowwwww and I mean slowww cooker! :) Mango spent the afternoon outside because he was driving mom nutzzzz! Mom was cooking and he was screaming for whatever it was she was making!! heehehe..He can be soooo annoying!! Mom got mad and told dad to roll him outside on to the patio... It works every time!!That brat gets to go outside while mom is cook'n and cleaning! It was a beautiful sunny warm 87 day!! :)

We had a frost overnight, but mom covered all the new plants, so we were okay. This morning, she had 2 tours in the museum, one in dinosaurs, and one about animal adaptations. Then it was off to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, and finally here to blog.
Congrats to we Pois for winning the first game. Today the Kevlar Keets (Willie's team) and on Thursday the CJCs (Falco's team) are playing. We are anxious to see how the new teams perform, too.

FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON
Hi fellow Pois, It's Capatin Calico.
Tomorrow, Monday, 12th is the first game of the 2013 Birdie Baseball Season and we're playing the first game, against theC-2 White Hawks.
There will be a pre-game show at 2:30pm eastern time and the game will start at 3:00pm eastern time.
I know we have not had a chance to practice as a team. Kaji and I have been swampped. I'm sure all of you have been practicing on your own and Iknow we'll do a great job. Let's try to make a great showing at the first game of the season.

Mom had a dog named Cheyenne! It sure is a pretty name! Your a cutie too! I was a breeder bird and my mate was Blue so the lady would say Hi Green, Hi Blue every morning. I got used to it and so I call myself green! Mom thought it would be better to not change it although she does call me Green bean and Greenie or beanie! lol :)

Oh, I'm sorry I missed the movie. It's been very hectic here with the derby blogs, mom's derby party, and the Milonga derby. I will fly over & leave a vote for you.
DAY 26
To qualify for the Kentucky Derby, you’ll have to win an invitation by performing well on smaller horseracing circuits, and compete on a horse that meets the race’s strict standards.
1) Have all ownership and genealogy papers relating to your horse ready for authentication. The horse MUST be a thoroughbred.
2) Your horse will have to work his/her way up by winning races on the graded circuit.
They will have win or place in the graded races throughout the year.
3) You will also have to compete in the racing circuit in your home state, or the state where your thoroughbred was born and raised.
4) Place well at graded stakes races, winning or finishing in the top three as frequently as possible. The goal is to accumulate prize money winnings and points. They have now started using a point system as well. The higher the finish and the more prestigious the race the more points given.
5) Participate in large-purse horse races as you become more confident in your thoroughbred’s abilities to win races. Part of what allows you to qualify is the amount of winnings your horse has racked up over the previous year.
6) Apply to participate in the Kentucky Derby. If your horse has been burning up the race circuits, they may just invite you.

Mom does the same with our old food. She thinks you should get to know Tooth's moms, they live in Yardley. That would be someone to lunch with...
There is a rehabilitation center somewhere near Philly, too. Tell mom to check, they might need old towels, blankets, that kind of thing.
Congratulations to Chyna on achieving 10k votes so fast! Way to go, girlfriend!
The squirrels mom returned to the center on Saturday have already been upgraded in their diet to step 2! That means a little more chunky food, but still lots of milk. They are in a bigger cage, too. That's the main reason mom returned them, they needed the light and larger enclosure.
Mom trained a new person today. She always likes training new people. Mom did the red tailed hawk's cage, because she just wanted the girl to observe, but the trainee did the education hawk's cage. Big news: Martha, our Great horned owl, is fostering an owlet! She helps out nearly every summer, and makes a terrific mom. It's sunny but still cool here, hope you are having a good spring day. Willie loved the petting zoo, as did Giz and I love the rides! Thanks for having such fun activities at the KB.
Mom is working a mammal cart today at the museum, and later going to a birthday party for a tiny neighbor. She turns one today. Mom is going to buy her something from the museum gift shop, so she knows the gift won't be duplicated. We are returning the baby squirrels to the center today, too, since all are eating and the little girl who was doing poorly has gained 8 grams in the past 3 days. She's recovered, we think. The birthday party is over early, so we should get lots of mom time this evening. We hope you are getting lots of attention today, as well as some good weather. It's cold here again. the Ecuadorian president is planning on auctioning off 10,000,000 acres of amazon rainforest to the gas and drilling fracking companies partly due to the governor of our state of pennsylvania who is currently destrying our state of pa and who could care less about preserving the rainforest and main motivation is pure greed. plus all the gas and oil extracted by this process is being sold to China fracking practices use highly poisonous cocktails of arsenic and radioactive materials in the fracking of the earths infrastructure in order to crack it. it will devastate everything around it also and poison all water forever plus any birds, animals or people that drink it.
