((Quincy #157076 & Hollywood #230267 are my horsie siblings on HC))
I got Navi on my birthday as a present from my parents. I kept talking about birds to my parents and saying how loud or quiet they are, and how big or small they were. We went to by some bird seed at a near by pet store called "Petsmart" and we saw the bird that I was wanting for a long time, a Green-Cheeked Conure. And then 2 cages full of beautiful green and yellow Budgies, and 5 cages full of cute Finches, then in one little cage up in the far right corner was a little green handsome Parrotlet. We could see how cute he was and how quiet he was. My dad asked about him, and I told him everything about the Parrotlet. I have a friend that owns a Parrotlet named Nikki M., and thats how I knew so much about them. It was finally my birthday and my parents surprised me this cute little green guy when we went to open up presents. They said they put him on hold just for me. My friend later told me that her first reaction after hearing him chirp was that my family had stolen her parrotlet, Nikki! The parrotlet's cute little chirp was unmistakable. I love Navajoe!. |

 On a shoulder, on a finger, on the dog's back, on mom's desk, and basically anywhere!
 When the dog comes in and destroys everything in my territory!
 I love that my owner kindly accepted me into her home. She loves me so much, and I have so much spinach and carrots to munch on!
 Using the strength he doesn't realize he has or going on these crazy, psycho fly-out moments..
 Leave Me At Peace When I am In My Food Bowl; Please, its for yer own good.

Any sign of Spring at your nest???? I have daffodils blooming outside but the trees are just starting to bud. I know it will be here eventually!!
I have been assisting with spring cleaning around here and it has been very interesting!! Mom found 3 extra computer mice in the side table drawer and she thought that was okay since you never know when you might need an extra one! Well in the china cabinet~~yes~china cabinet, there were 3 more! Do you suppose we will ever need 6 extra computer mice??? hehehehehehe This is why I love spring cleaning so much! You never know what you are going to find!!

I wasn't sure I was going to get to anybirds page today! The BC is having issues! I feel awful for Elvis but his has happened before and I know it will all be fixed very soon. I was a little worried when all I got was the squawk-a-tiel page this morning!
Nothing exciting going on around here but I am having a nice day. I am helping with laundry this morning since mom has to work tonight. She was off last night, works tonigh and then gets Friday night off. The store she works at is having a big sale this weekend and next. I don't really notice much difference since mom works nights and I'm sleeping.

Hello Navi~
How are you??? I'm doing just fine. I have not been getting too many blog done lately just because it's been crazy busy around the house.
They were going to do an inspection of the apartment so mom had to finally finish all the projects she started and never finished!! We did lots of stuff around the house and it looks really good! The corporation who own the place is refinancing so that is why they were doing the inspection. Well, no one showed up!! All that work and no inspection. The only place we saw anyone checking out was the executive apartment over the office building. Oh well! It all had to be done anyway.
Today they were coming over to strap the water heater to the wall. It is in the storage room off the balcony. Mom and dad had cleaned that out last month to get rid of junk so it was easy to empty it for them. I was waiting for the guy to come to the door this morning when he put a ladder up to the balcony and came up that way!!! How strange! We would have been happy to let him in the door! It's all done now so mom has to put the stuff back in there now.
It's our weekend now and since the cleaning is all done we can do whatever we want! I'll be watching the Puppy Bowl on Sunday. We have a Puppy Bowl party every year. If the Seahawks had made it to the Super Bowl, we'd be watching that too but since they didn't I'll just enjoy the Puppy Bowl!!

I can't believe I haven't blogged in over a week! D: Lazy mother!
I almost got a new beautiful purple flight suit yesterday, but mommy forgot about the sale so I didn't get it.:( Too bad, I would have looked good in purple.
Do you remember that toy I told you about, the one I got for Christmas that I started biting on before mommy even took it out of the package? Well, it is almost gone. I have eaten almost all of the cookies off of it. hehe!
Mommy posted two new drawings in my gallery to share with you. The first one is a citron cockatoo that she did for a contest. The second one is of a baby african grey biting on an acrylic pacifier bead. Mommy really detailed his head, but then she got bored and rushed the body, so it doesn't look too good. Both of them are done in graphite pencil.:) Mommy also wanted me to ask if anybody has any spare feathers that they don't need, use, or want. She is almost out of feathers to paint on, so if you do that would be great! Let us know and we can email you our mailing address.:)

•°•° A Very Happy New Year to You!! •°•°
Guess what my new year resolution is? To be on Birdchannel as much as I can and be with all my friends! And I'm starting that resolution TODAY(: I'm so excited to be back. Mother promised she'll be on here as much as possible!
How has your 2013 gone so far? Mother's hasn't been so fantastic, there has been a lot of drama, and on the First, Mother's Uncle died. She wasn't close to that Uncle, but of course she feels horrible for his wife & adult children. If you could say some prayers for his family & friends, we'd appreciate it greatly!
Mother's resolution is to take better care of & spend more time with her many pets, me included of course! So I've been getting lots of mommy time, which I love. I've actually just uploaded a whole bunch of new photos, but believe me, there are many more to come! I can't wait for you to see them all(:

WINTER MILONGA INVITATION
WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND!!
Yes!! It is time for the December Holiday Milonga!!

If you are tired of cold and wet weather, come to our very special winter wonderland. The snow is crystal white, but it is dry and warm!! It makes great snowmen and snow balls, but you will never get your toesies frozed off!
And, of course, we will be announcing the results of our holiday pic contest. I am very pleased to advise all of the contestants that every picture got at least one vote, but there were some that will be awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place awards (with some ties as well). Also Taz and I decided to give out an award for most overall votes adding the categories together. So it will be very eggciting to see how your pictures and your BC buddies pictures did.
Lizzie has planned a marvelous holiday feast with lots of tasty goodies from around the world. And the Pie Shoppe will be bringing your favorite desserts and tons of Christmas cookies. Plus the Thirsty Parrots Bar & Grill will be setting up an open bar with everything from hot toddies and mulled cider to jello shots.
Best of all Sam and the Scruffy Birds Band will be there to entertain with your holiday favorites. He is keeping the song list a surprise, but I bet we hear some carols to sing along with. And you know he will be playing plenty of songs to dance to as well. And Chyna will be singing her heart out as usual.
So don't miss it, or you will really regret it. It is the perfect way to close the holiday season of 2012 and to get ready for the coming year.
