 She needed a loving home. Sassy is very afraid of hands and quick movements and growls a lot so everyone that met her was scare that she would bite them.Thus she was never offered a loving home. But underneath all that lunging and frighten bird is a very sweet bird who just needs love and lots of patience. She is Shadow's fister from a different clutch and is 3 months younger then him but has the same biological parents. Sassy has been DNA tested as a female and does not have the red factor like Shadow. She is bigger and has the most beautiful big bright eyes. Mom feels so blessed and priveledge to have her as part of the flock. The flock and mom love you so much "Sassy".. |

I'll try harder. Sam lifts an old window frame and gets behind it hoping to mimic Aunt Theresa's experience outside Sassy girl's window. Sam whistles and Sassy calms down. Soon she makes her little noise recognizing that nut, SamIAm. Sam waves to her thru the window frame. Then he makes like a mime and starts to wipe the non-existant glass between the frame parts. V4U today. I hope that you will surprise your mom and talk to her. Growling is ok, but talking is so much more fun! Maybe when the weather is nice and warm again, you can go outside in the aviary and listen to the wild birds chattering. Maybe that will get you interested in wanting to talk. Mom used to read to us when we were young birds, and that got us interested in talking. Now mom wishes we would be quiet sometimes. LOL :) Have a good day, Sassy.
