 Daddy (and Mom) took us home from the pet store (he was a falconer and had red tail hawks previously, but we smaller birds are easier...) If anyone is interested in becoming a falconer, you need to find a currently licensed falconer to sponsor and train you. You have to take and pass a test. You have to pay for a license. You need to have all the equipment to keep a bird - a mews (the hawkhouse), a travel box, a falconer's glove, jesses for the bird, hoods, food, etc. and everything is inspected by fish and game. Then when you have all the training and license you build a trap and catch a wild (first year) red-tail hawk, but during the trapping season. All novices start with a red-tail and you have to train it and eventually you take it hunting. Whew! Dad was the falconer, but Mom would tag along. They did that for a few years, but now they have us, the cockatiels!

Hey Guys
What a ball game yesterday! Congratulations to the Phoenix Base Flyers, you pulled off a great win, but the Rainforest Raiders have nothing to be ashamed of. With the way they're playing, they won't lose many games this year.
Mom had 3 tours today, and she says if you have to have 3, this is the way to go: she had different grade levels and different subjects for each tour. We got the fountain up and running last night, too, so it looks pretty outside now, and we'll be able to hear the water when we go outside with mom. Today it's bright and sunny so we might get out, if mom gets our blogs done in time. It's making it hard on mom to blog for me but I know she can rise to the challenge! She keeps putting me back on her knee and I say "hello Sugar!"
Not much else going on today. It's just fine with me since I'm having a really fun time climbing all over the puter and all over mom!

How nice to have an orange tree! And you have gardenia's and hibiscus too? Mom loves those flowers!
Yeah....we think that sod always works best when planting a lawn. Dad has always done that. Seems to work well.
The Preakness winner Oxbo stayed in the lead for most of the race. Don't know if he was in the lead right out of the gate....but kept the lead for most of the race.
Hmmmmmm....so you think randomly placing the squares would look good in the afghan? Skin sis would like it to be big......so mom figured out 8 squares wide and 9 squares long (each square is 8x8). Hope that will look good. Mom would much rather have a pattern that tells her exactly what to do instead of trying to figure it out. Funny....give her a computer....and she will figure it out. Knitting...well she loves to knit but hates figuring out thins on her own! Heehee! Silly mom!

...we are absolutely heart broken over the loss of life and property in Okalahoma! Devastation such as this puts life into perspective, and with that comes a realization of just how fragile and precious life really is! Regarding the Raiders loss, I was just one biscuit short at breakfast, and I would have hit a Grand slam to win our game, that won't happen again! That's a good idea about posting the stadium.What nerve your daddy has to leave you covered.My daddy does the same thing to us sometimes.I believe he wants us to stay quite,It dosent work.We get LOUDER!!!Heehee...It was hot yesterday and I think my mommy almost had a heat stroke.She got dizzy and had a hard time swallowing water.Shes ok now.Hopefully she has realized that the best place to be on hot days is inside the house.The Sharks play tonight?Go Sharks!!!

I discovered birdchannel from a friend at my school. I registered in September 2011 after I got Angel and Luigi. The only friend on birdchannel that I talked to was SKY. Everyday there would be new activities on birdchannel he would tell me. But I really didn’t know how to go to a milonga or the kissing booth. So that’s how I didn’t know how to meet other birdies. I met Sky when he first came on BC with the broken wings broken promises page. Angel’s page was changed to birdie zone and Luigi became DJ LUIGI. To be honest, Luigi leans more to singing with me and listening to sounds than learning other tricks. Luigi started making more birdie friends when Luigi started running for 500 votes to participate for bird of the month. First I want to wish you luck this afternoon in your first game . . . I'm sure going to try to be there !
5 weeks to go for mom ! Or should I say for me ! LOL - the last week barely counts though. We finally reached the 70's and the windows are opened - the sun even returned for a while yesterday afternoon. Those poor people in OK - the devastation and losses are heart-breaking - mom had to turn the tv off last night. So sad . . .

Yes both moms skin kids birthdays are in June and now the DIL also so always a busy month.
I am soooo excited cause we played our first game today and we won…by one point but a win at least!! Today was moms day out with the girls and though we missed her we know she needs these days too. Mom was with her sister and the skin sis and they went shopping and did lunch/ dinner together. Dad was home and on his own too but he helped us too so it wasn’t too bad but we all know mom is the glue that holds it all together LOL. “Friendship, like flowers, blooms ever fair, when carefully tended by dear friends that care.” Leaving a big ole vote for you my friend….Chi chi.Come visit me, Gus & Chi chi ..

mom had me outside today for a few hours. i discovered a small bird has built a nest in the honesuckle bush thats right beside my cage. mom says it moves too fast for her to tell what kind of bird it is. she thinks the momma bird is trying to lead her away from the nest by distracting her. love Bo Boo

Good luck on your game tomorrow - bet you'll be great!
The parronts had a tense afternoon and evening yesterday. A 48 year old woman on drugs decided to take a lighter and start a fire in a field near here. (She was, of course, arrested.) The fields are very dry, fire danger is high and the fire grew rapidly. We are very grateful for the rapid response from the fire crews. Helicopters made trips back and forth to dump water on the fire as well. Early evening the parronts found out they were in no danger and crews were just monitoring hot spots. Mom saw the damage today. It had actually moved away from us but toward other homes. We love where we live, but fire is always a possibility so mom keeps our travel cages nearby. Birds and dogs first, pictures if she has time, the rest isn't important!

Hi Pearl & Silver,
Mom got me outside for my sunbath at 9 this morning, and it is a good thing she did. We listened to the local news on the radio, and so she knew it was gonna be a hot one! It hit 93 at 1, and it is still 85 here at 3. Thank goodness it is supposed to only be in the mid 80s for a high tomorrow. I will still get out early though.
Mom let herself be shanghaied from the gym after zumba to be taken out to lunch. That sounds very nice I am sure, but she totally forgot about my ballgame! And Rosie did such a terrific job of calling it, and I played well and Mango's final catch was a nail biter. She missed the whole thing and had to read about it after the fact. And she promised! I am so mad at her I could bite~!

How are u sweetie? I didn't do my blogging yesterday, mom & I were involved in a bizarre, freak accident early yesterday afternoon! I was unscathed, but mom wasn't as lucky...she's fine now, but very sore!
When mom is holding me, I like her to kiss my belly! She kissed me on my birdie nose, then I told her KISS BAAALLY! At the same time she raised me up, I lifted my left leg, & somehow, my front 2 toes slipped into mom's right nostril & GOT STUCK! Of course I'm past due for a nail trim & my nails are extra long & very sharp! I was struggling to get my toes free & mom was howling in pain! Thinking it was a game, I quit struggling & started squealing! Mom gently grabbed my foot & turned her head & my toes came out!
My poor mom was gushing blood! She grabbed paper towels to try to control the bleeding, got me to step up onto her cane, squirted my foot, put me in my cage, & took off for the emergency room! To make matters worse, they couldn't help laughing when mom told them how the injury occurred! That was a story that they NEVER heard before! Mom spent 3 hrs at the emergency room & had to have her nostril cauterized! Mom is fine, but her nose is very sore! I don't think that I'll be getting belly kisses anytime soon!

Unfortunatly moms next two days of overtime will be for a whole shift so shes going to be pretty tired.At least she has a vacation coming up in a few weeks she can look forward to.I was going to say she can rest then but we are getting ready to move the end of next month so she has to do more packing.
So your mom has one of those too had her job where there call ins are predictable they always seem to call in on the same days?Just dont understand some peoples work ethics.

Just a little, NO, a lot disappointed that this being the 20th. of the month, and JETTA still don't have his OFFICIAL BOTM photo to post on his page. I have NEVER seen this happen to anyone else, ever before, and it hurt's that he gave it his best effort, and can't understand the LONG delay. I realize there might be more important thing going on for some people, but it really made him feel terrible.
Oh well, it's no big thing, and like a lot we have not commented on, we'll get over it.

Its raining here this morn'n!! Mom said there's nutt'n worse then a rainy Monday!! heehe I just finished eating banana's and a little piece of pancake! Yumm!!!! How was your weekend? We got a lot of outside time cause it was super summer warm and sunny!Mom has to take some pictures of some flowers dad brought home over the weekend. :)His tomato plants are getting big too!! :) Have a great day!!

That's interesting about your front and back lawns. So you have an orange tree? That sounds awesome. Do you have a lot of flowers in your yard too?
Here in NC we have a type of grass that goes dormant in the winter turning brown until summer. We really don't like that as mom and dad has always had green grass year around. They have thought of replacing this type of grass but that would be a massive expense. Guess this type is good for the heat in NC!
Yeah, we thought the Preakness was kind of anticlimactic . We really wants Orb to win. Well, we are looking forward to Belmont in a few weeks!
Mom is thinking of using your moms idea of combining the two colors for the strands to knit. Otherwise she thinks the colors might be a bit boring. She had though of alternating colored squares....making a pattern with colors .....but that might really be difficult so she just might knit the two colors together. Think that would be pretty!

Thanks for the info.Im going to do that.If you need any help getting there let me know.Yesterday was Armed forces day and we had a prayer circle for my frother and all the men and women in armed forces.It so awesome they have a special day to be honored and loved.Im going to try to catch the Sharks game.It just depends on what my mommys doing.Go Sharks!!!

Hi guys !
Well, mom and Landon never did get to the farm yesterday . . . it rained ! In fact it's still raining, and supposed to continue all week :( UGH !
I did discover something else though - I'm far less work than a 14 month old ! Mom had to crawl or run all over the house to keep Landon out of trouble. I think he learned a new word - NO - by the end of his visit he'd crawl to dad's stuff (remotes, 'puter, electronics) all the while chanting "no, no, no" Silly boy !

Well, I love the split screen ... you both look great!
I agree, Orb doesn't like being near the rail, don't know why he wasn't moved outside when the chance came. You could see him put the brakes on. Yes, Gary Stevens (50 yrs old) was riding Oxbow ... good for him!
Today was sunny and a warm 80 degrees … FINALLY! I had a wonderful day. We had lunch and dinner on the patio. I was able to go outside several times too. The next two days will be severe t-storms and the temps will go down to 62 degrees. Was that summer today?????

No I like the fuzzy happy huts so I use them all year round but with the AC on its not that warm and keeps me out of any drafts too.
Yesterday was a busy day here for mom. First she went to visit with skin brother to give his middle child and moms grand daughter her birthday card and money for her birthday. Of course mom made her card and that one had a picture of her in it when she was younger so they always like those kind the best. Mom gave skin brother his birthday card too and moms daughter in law her card too and their birthdays are both next month. Skin brothers card had a picture of him when he was younger standing and rolling on a barrel and of course he told his children that wasn’t a smart thing to do now. Of course mom had to take pictures of them each with their cards to add in the albums too. Then mom went to the craft show and that was fun and you know she came home with some bags of course. When mom came home she cleaned our cages and fed us and fixed supper for her and dad. Pretty soon they got their baths and went to listen to some band with moms sister and her husband and grand daughter. The parronts were home pretty early though so we sat up with them a while and had loving time before we went to bed so was a busy day. If we arent on this coming week some times we are just busy cause mom has some things to do and not sure if or when we will be on or not but wanted to let you know so you don’t worry. “Friendship, like flowers, blooms ever more fair, when carefully tended by dear friends who care.” V4U my friend, Chi chi.Come visit me, Gus & Chi chi ..

Hi Pearl & Silver,
I had a very nice sunbath today at 9:00! Yep, it was warm enough that early to get some nice rays on the feathers. In fact, Mom had to move to the shade after 20 minutes, but then she is a wimp.
I suffered today when she spent extra time at the gym. And then she insisted on taking a shower before coming in to be with me. I have offered repeatedly to let her bathe in my water dish like I do, but she insists she won't fit. Guess she just needs to lose more weight.

At least with the furball there it keeps you guys out of trouble that wood is just so tempting sometimes.
Today has been a windy day and now thunderstorms have moved in so dont think I will be getting out for a stroll.Still a crazy amount of overtime at moms job someone who has been out on injury comes back on thursday so that should help with some.Moms stuck again having to work her next two days off so wont be off again for 12 days.
Rule abuser is still working hasnt called for sometime but Im sure one is coming.She also signed to work a lot of overtime,but the last time she did that she called in for all those days so we will see what happens this time?Hope your having a good day.Come visit me, Hulk Vote Luigi(225307)BOTM.

I see you are going to be playing the WhiteHawks this Tuesday ... be aware he has mischief in his tail feathers cause he lost his game last week lol. The guy is out to tear up the field. I S=should know cause I have been practicing with him. Mom says when my talons are sharp they are worse than the furball ... I think moms skin is just too thin and we need to thicken it up a bit lol.
