Hi Beaky,Just keep up those great stories. And if some of the birdies ask you to help write something for them try to help out. It will be worth your while. When I first joined I had to do a lot of constant flight to keep myself known. But your already getting quite well known with almost everybirdie. They are all great birdies. And you will enjoy getting to know them. They are better BBFF's than you could imagine. I don't know how you found my newspaper and joined my staff so soon. Because I had just started the presses rolling when you applied. But it was a blessing to everybirdie that you did! If you need to ask any questions just fly by my office. P.S. Are you all ready for Halloween? Mom always tries to shield me from the little monsters, but I get nervous from the door bell ringing so much. Cassie the cat just hides under the bed all evening. Thank goodness there are fewer every year, although it makes Mom sad. She likes seeing the little ones in their costumes, but I just find them annoying!

Hi Beaky,
Sorry this is late notice...Ground breaking for Chilli's Sunroom is scheduled for Tuesday Oct 26 at 8pm EST. We will have Sunny do the honors with the shovel (peach & green ribbons on it)...a few birdies have been asked to say a some words and ..... punch & light refreshments will be served. Hope we get a good crowd. Donations are still needed.
it would be great if you could attend and put it in the paper.

Well, October is almost over, and this week will be a busy one. Our humans will be busy buying candy and putting up scary decorations to be culminated by an invasion this Sunday of very short monsters, action heroes and princesses. We birdies will be driven crazy all night by the doorbell ringing and shrill little voices shouting "Trick or Treat!".

A memorial for a queen

I am stopping by with a very serious request today. Our BOTD candidate is a posthumous one for Rosalie Hale Bopp #22046. She left for the Rainbow Bridge three years ago, and tomorrow will be the anniversary of that date. Let's put a crown beneath that halo, shall we?
And when you go to her page to vote, don't just peck the button and fly. Read the message in her "how we met" section, and then peruse the pictures in her gallery. I know it brought me to tears, and I bet it will do the same for you.

Scary bats and eerie spiders will welcome you to the October Milonga Fright Night. Prepare to shiver and shake as you see the Halloween decorations created by your own milonga board. Dance to the tunes of the Cryptkicker Five or enjoy our special movie night with a private screening of that wonderful Hitchcock classic "The Birds".
And if that is not enough to lure you into our Halloween lair, let me tell you about the fantastic and fearful feast that will be there for your dining pleasure.
