After rescuing Layla, my other budgerigar, I decided to get her a buddy. I went to a pet store at the mall and I didn't find the parakeet I had my eyes on there anymore. So then I drove up to the PetCo near my store. I looked at the aviary that had a lot of parakeet, and this is where I found Avelynne. She walked up to the glass of the cage toward me, and she would follow me. So she basically chose me. :) At the end of quarantine, I have learned more about birds, and realized that she seemed sick. I took her to the vet and they prescribed medication for 45 days. On the 45th day, the last day of her medication, she passed away. :'( 8.24.10. I miss her so much, even if I did only have her for 2 months. <3. |
