 I'M ON THE BC 2 YEAR NOW!!. OUR FLOCK HAS BEEN MEMBER'S OF THE BC, SINCE 3/22/07When visiting another bird we where buying. me and my husband fell in love with him because of being so friendly. We asked about him and found out he was a special needs bird do to a extensive spinal cord damage .Which left him partially paralyzed.So we talked all weekend about it.We called the breeder and told her we would take Lucky too. She was so happy because she was being pickey who would get him. She knew us well and knew we would do the right things he needed. she was worried who would get him because he still needed to go to a chiropractor every 3 months. She knew we would take him to the chiroprator.So my husband got his big buddy Lucky.FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW HOW THIS HAPPEN TO LUCKY.When the breeder went out of town,she had someone take care of her baby birds. That she thought she could trust . The person feed Lucky and than picked him up by his neck and from all the weight of his body broke his neck and kinked his spine.He now has a hump on his back where this spine was kinked.The breeder took him to the vet.The vet did everything she could think of doing for him... nothing worked!There was a human chiropractor who came to the vet who worked on dogs and cats. The vet told, the breeder maybe she could help him. It was his last chance and it worked . If it wouldn't have worked Lucky would of spend the rest of his life only laying around not being able to move or put down. Thank god it worked or maybe we wouldn't have Lucky . Today Lucky is doing fine.The only thing is he moves his right foot slow and it takes him time to step up and he sometimes falls .So far it looks like he will have to go to the chiro for the rest of his life.MY HATCH DATE IS: 9/29/2004. |
