Chirp Chirp! ~ Hi there, my name is Spirit Cloude (144812), and I am a 5 year old (male) budgie from W. Gardiner Maine. I’m running for March BOTM in honor of my Uncle Maximillian, on page #9042, who tragically passed away last year (2010) on March 14th, at 18 years old. I miss him, and so I’ve decided to dedicate my run to him.

And now a little bit about myself … I am a crazy little blue & white budgie, that my Mama bought from Petco on June 26th, 2005. Mama wanted to give me a hatchdate, since for 5 years we’ve just said it was my “Gotcha Date” because we new that I was a year older by then. So, after about a week of thinking, we decided to have my hatchdate March 16th! My favorite singers are Taylor Swift and Hillary Duff, but my favorite song is “Kiss Me Thru The Phone”, by Soulja Boy Tell ‘em. I also like “Fearless” by Taylor Swift. When a song comes on that I really like, I start to dance and chirp. I’ll walk up and down my perch, rub my bill on it and chirp, chirp, chirp. One time, I learned a tune. It was on the Nintendo 64 and it was a Super Mario game! I learned the tune to one of the courses. Mama also taught me how to make kissie noises once. I couldn’t make them quite the way she can, but I did pretty well!

Well, the Moms' have been busy with their elders, and Thanksgiving and all that stuff...I got CORN!! That's my favorite stuff...And my mom's been doing some extra work stuff, so....but they haven't been neglecting me! There's no way they could get away with that!!

Yeah, I gotta agree with you. I am not fond of hands in my cage. In the morning I generally climb onto my perch that swings out when the door opens so Mom doesn't have to put her hand into the cage, but other times when she does, I don't step up right away. Oh, and the other thing is that even though I'm pretty good about stepping up, I always give her a peck or two once I'm up so she remembers who's boss....
As for the prices...yeah....they are ridiculous, especially in pet stores. Mom met my Hatch-Daddy and he couldn't believe what she paid for me. He said if she ever wanted another parrotlet, or knew anyone who did, to put them directly in touch with him. He's in Delaware, tho, so that's not too close to you all....still, if your Mom ever wants one, let us know, and we'll run a relay!!Come visit me, The Society of Finches & Tooth.
