I was looking for a companion. I had searched the net for a year to find the right bird. I saw this ad on Birds n Way about Amazons for sale in MN. I went to see the birds and there he was. He was the outcast. All the rest had Red on their heads and he was just plain old Green with a Yellow head. I was drawn in by the way he laughed. He sounds like that TV character from the 80s. The Alien calle Alf. I just couldn't pass him up. He was bonded with me within 2 weeks from the day I bought him. We have been best pals ever since. I have had him for almost 2 years now..

Active within 1032 Days Hi! My name is Henry I am a Yellow-Naped Amazon from Rochester, MN. Hen Hen, Hen Ren. Henroid (thanks to my 16 yr. old son) and Handsome Birdie. 8 years old M Yellow-Naped Amazon Henry loves bread and peanuts. Henry loves to sit on top of my easy chair and out in the kitchen. He also loves to go in the car and to work with me. Henry hates bedtime and barks like a dog when i cover him for the night. He does not like our little dog. He does not like when the cat tries to drink out of his water bowl. He hates when the cover first comes off in the morning. Not a real morning bird. I love my Mommy because she takes me to work with her and on the days she doesn't work, she finds fun things for us to do. We dance and sing or I just sit on her shoulder and watch Animal Planet. I also love my Mommy because she loves birds so much that we have a large family. I have 18 brothers and sisters. You can see more pictures of some of my flock at the bottom of this page. He says are you ok over and over again followed by How are you ,I'm ok and repeats that about 100 times also. He sneaks off of his cage and takes my silk flowers out of my vace. Once he had a rose in his mouth and he looked so funny.. Smile proudly if someone calls you a bird brain..

Hi Henry, What a great looking bird you are and your bird family looks great too. You look like you live in a cool home with lots to do. I broke Mom's favorite vase so she doesn't have any vases with flowers out since then. She didn't get mad at me though and was more concerned if I was okay. We are up to 8 birds here and Mom says that's enough, although she is tempted daily. Dad inspects homes and is always offered a bird to take home, it makes Mom mad that these people didn't take the time to find out more about us before bringing us home, just to break our hearts when we are no longer cute or quiet. Sorry, just had to vent alittle. Your Mom sounds like a great bird person, you are one lucky bird. Thanks for the good advice. Mom says that once Moose is a little more stable on his legs that I probably can go see him. I think I am excited. I heard Moose loves to cuddle with my skin sister. That is perfectly fine with me...my mommy. he he he! I have noticed that a lot of birdies here on the channel seem to have a lot of birdie siblings. Mom says that you are 100% correct about us being like potatoe chips. Good comparison! Mom says her limit for birdies though is 3 since dad will probably kick her out if she gets more than that. Mom said she is fine with 3. She said that is the perfect number for her. I don't know how I feel about 2 more birdies but I will deal with it. Mom has lots of love to share with all of us. I had to share my sad news... ....mom just told me I will be getting a brother. I do not want a brother. I keep telling mom that but she just doesn't listen. And they say us men have selective hearing....hmmmpff. Mom says I will still have my own area and toys. I don't care about those, I don't want to share mom. Well, I had to come share that with you. Howdy Henry! I love your pictures. I still can't believe you have 18 more birdies living in your house. That is amazing! good evening I am happy you are well and back to being your old self again. I am sure your Mom is relieved. I hope you had a great day. Is it snowing? It got so cold last night and the same tonight 20 that the flowers froze and things like peony bushes. Staying cold here till next tuesday. What happened to spring? good morning I am so happy you are home and doing better, take it easy and get well fast. Is it cold there? It is windy and very cold for spring, 20s - 40s for a week. I am happy you have a nice vet, that is important. Your Moms lighthouse border is very nice.Well Easter is almost here, hope the bunny brings me a new toy and some treats, I find if I dont like the taste at least they are fun to play with for a little while. We have a new white female parakeet and a lavender male that Mom bought from a guy going out of parakeet raising, he is going out of lovebirds too, that is where we got Shamrock and Blueberry. He and his wife are real nice and they want to raise greys and macaws if they can find some. Hope to hear good news from your vet. Hello Sending Henry a vote, prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery. What is the news from the vet? Hope he is well soon and home with his family whom I know love and miss him dearly. Mom will give a home to any bird who needs us but Mom doesnt drive, nor does her Mom so we would have to find a way but anytime you hear of some bird who wants to be part of our family let us know. My Moms mom used to live in Minnesota and go to Silver Lake to feed the geese, we are so much neater than geese.
