 Had been looking for a 'too or Grey for a while, did lots of research so I knew what I was getting into. Saw an ad on line for an umbrella for a really good price in a town a couple of hours away. Called the owners and then went to meet her. Found out they had a dozen birds and had gotten Tiffany a few months earliey, but their Amazon hated her and would scream at her if they were in the same room and tryed to attack her on more than one occassion. After giving them some adjustment time, things were not working well and Tiffany had stopped eating. They knew they needed to find her a friendlier home. She made up to me in just a few minutes, steped up and allowed me to cuddle her. That was it, she was going to be mine. She has adapted well to our busy home she shares with a quaker, 2 large dogs, two cats, my husband and me. We also have a 125 gal reef aquarium, Tiffany loves to watch the bright colored fish swim around.. |

Hi! My name is Tiffany
I am an Umbrella Cockatoo from Atkins, IA.
 Toodles because she makes this cute trumpet sound often.

Almonds, pizza crust, popcorn, french fries, pasta.
 My shoulder, the back of a wicker chair or the wooden bars on my husbands swing chair.
 not being offered her favorite foods when she smells them, like pizza crust or a french fry or popcorn.
 She knows just where I love to be scratched and gives me lots of cuddles. She makes me new toys to chew up and keep me busy. I love my shower and the mirror placed near my cage so I can see how beautiful I am. I ride on her shoulder for trips around the house and out to the yard in nice weather. When Mom goes on vacation, her 20 year old daughter stays at the house to take care of me and the rest of the critters. I know and trust her so when she inherits me someday I will be comfortable with that.
 She drops food for the dogs, and they love carrots, grapes, nuts, just like she does.
She turns her back on strangers or when she wants to be left alone..

Glad your Mommy & Daddy are home now and things are back to normal for you. We do have a hard time with things changing don't we? I even have a hard enough time with new & different toys so Mommy knows what I like and that's pretty much what she sticks too. Well you take care and be a good girl LOL! You're a gorgeous Cockatoo. My name is Oz and I'm a Rose Breasted Cockatoo. Mommy is my 3rd owner and she says that this is my Forever Home. I'm glad cause I really like it here. She also wants to know if I know I'm a Cockatoo cause I'm sweet and very quiet. What does she mean by that? Anyway, do you want to be Friends? Thanks for coming by and saying hi. I wish my flock was as small as yours. We have 12 birds in my flock, some of them our my sisters birds but for now until who knows when they are still here. Anyway besides the 11 other birds we have 3 dogs and my mommies 2 granddaughters and grandson and their mom and dad staying here along with the sister whom owns 5 of the birds. Just wanted to fly by and say hi. Return your visit. You said the Quaker you live with has no manners lol. The Cockatiels here are not too bad. They get a little loud from time to time. But nice to listen to. They get me worked up from time to time. Like when they first get out. They all have to fly around all crazy. After they get that out of there system and settled down on there playstation.Then it,s not to bad. Fly over anytime Klup. Will leave a vote.Come visit me, Klup.
