HI So glad to hear from you again ! I've been very busy over the last couple weeks - mom did some planting out back and of course, I had to "supervise" (pretty loudly) but now everything is really pretty . . . That is so cool - learning to talk is really exciting ! Hi friend ! Guess what ? Dad got me a tissue box to play with, so I hopped right up and started chewing and shredding all around my feet - nobody told me I couldn't do that ! And then as if falling in was not bad enough - mom LAUGHED ! ! ! Hi Kiwi Still chilly here in NY, but at least the sun is shining - I'm waiting for warmer temperatures cause then mom and dad move my cage by the window so I can look out ! Mom brought me home 2 paper towel rolls today ! Hi Kiwi Hope everything is OK - mom told me sometimes parronts get busy, but I get worried when a friend disappears for too long . . . It's finally spring here ! Nail polish huh ? Mom tried to explain to me about that - she says she would like to but can't wear it because between me (heehee) and the chalkdust in her classroom it wouldn't last - but she says come summer time she does put it on her toes (she doesn't let me near those !) So, how is your talking coming along ? I learned a new word - WHAT - I say it in mom's voice - I think it may come in pretty handy if I can learn how and when to use it . . . Hi Kiwi I think I learned word association because the only time mom or dad said "wet, wet, wet" to me was when they were splashing in my tub with me - the only time they said "popcorn" was when they were giving me a piece of popcorn (somehow, I now call ALL treats popcorn - oh well) They only said "hi" when they came into the room, you get the idea - they didn't respond to me unless I used them properly and when I did they made a big deal - sometimes they let me pick my own meanings - like when I say "come here", I get a head scritch That's funny that you are an escape artist - I've tried and I can't - although mom does have to tie my food dish because I did learn how to unscrew it and dump it all over (heehee) Left a V4U Come visit me, Cookie ready for bazbol !, BC Library Now Open & Fly with the angels my Sally.	02/18/2011 06:55.02 AM	Report This Comment
Hey Kiwi ! So, what else have you learned to say ? Mom loves quaker voices - I have two levels - I yell everything when I talk to dad, but sometimes mom and I have soft whispery conversations - my favorite talking time is right after a bath - keep practicing and you can get your humans to do anything ! ! ! Like I know "come here" when I want my head rubbed, and "popcorn" when I want a treat, and "wet, wet, wet" when I want my bathtub. The one mom thinks is really funny though is whenever there is cheering or applauding on the TV, I say "thank you" (I mean they MUST be cheering me - right ?) Hi Kiwi - as a matter of fact, I started talking at about 3 months and haven't stopped since ! My first word was my name, now my vocabulary is about 40 words and phrases - tell your family to keep talking to you - you'll get it !
