 I was working at a bird store, when one day this Cherry Headed Conure came in for adoption. He was naked but his head, wings and tail. I found out that he had lived in 9 difrant homes,one a year. I felt so bad for him and adopted him my self.. |

We had a scarry night!!
Romeo flew out the door at my friends house the other night. I know I should have clipped his wings, but its taken a year just to get those feathers so I haven't clipped him. Any way its a good thing it was dark out side. He flew into the back yard tree. He had to spend the night freezing in that tree. I think the dark was the only reason I was able to find him the next morning. He still doesn't know how to fly. I think he thinks its like falling. Had to climb over a fence when I found him in the yard next door. I was so devastated that night I couldn't sleep. I just feel so blessed to have gotten him back. Hi, it's me, Sugar. Here's a vote for you, too! I love your picture, you remind me of my Dad, Reno, he has a bare belly like you! My Mama keeps a close eye on me to be sure I don't start plucking but I don't think that will happen. I have 6 more birdies around me. I am a mitred conure. Mitreds are a lot like cherry heads, just a bit bigger and less red on the head and shoulders. I wish there were more of us red headed conures to meet. Thanks for joining the fun! I'm sure you'll like it here!
