Hi Sunny
Orbit here. You asked what a Way Station is. Well it's where birds wait to go to another foster home. In olden times it was where people waited to catch the stagecoaches. Just a stop on the trip. And since we don't have that much room here we bring in the birds and they wait a few days to catch a ride to another foster home that has the room for long time fostering.
A dear friend here at BC said it was more a way station for birds and it stuck.
I wish more people could foster birds. They are so "toss away" animals and/or so abused. It's heartbreaking some of the things birds go through sometimes. We keep Reggie's page up to show just how bad some birds have it and then magically they get love and care. Their personalities pop out and to know you had a part is so special.
