I would visit Norby every single day at my dads friends house in the summer but then summer passed and I could no longer go to see Norby everyday. This broke my heart because I loved that bird the was he talked to me and the look he had in his eyes... the most intelligent look! I knew that he was my bird!!! Then on Christmas my dads friends decided to give me Norby for Christmas!!! I was ecstatic that the bird I knew was supposed to be my bird was mine I would take him out everyday and feed him his daily vitamins and fruits and vegies. He would refuse to eat his vegies he would hide them! One day I caught him sitting on them!!! So then I taught him to say yum yum every time he saw the vegies So then I see him ripping his vedgies up and sprinkling them on the floor so I say eat your vedgies Norby and then he takes the vegies by his beak and throws them right at me and says "you eat em!" My mouth open that this bird can understand everything I had been saying!! That bird was amazing and I will never ever forget him he was truly absolutely amazing. Awards

Hi! My name is Norby (R.I.P)

I am an Eclectus from Freedom, WI.

10 years old   M

on top of the cage

Anyone near the food bowl

she took me to every vet in the state to make sure I was treated but no matter what vet I went to I was going once I had passed away from her she buried me at my old home next to the water with all of my favorite foods and a lovely note saying how much she loves me and that she is sorry she is so absent minded she could not detect my sickness but if she had found it a minute, day, year or second earlier she could not help me because I had Psittacosi which is fatal

opening the door on his cage and finding me.

nubs to the rescue (I wish he still was).

  Hello Norby
Iam so sorry to hear tha tyou were so very sick. Please say hello for us to Zazu. He crossed the rainbow bridge several years ago and we miss him terribly. Our sister, Susan has been ill with toe tapping and wing flipping. She is getting better, but it has been a very long road and she is still wearing an elizabethan collar because she had mutilted her legs into hamburger and Momis afriad that she could do it again. Norby, you are a gorgeous birdie!!! R.I.P., my friend. Sorry for your family's loss.

Sorry about your loss, Momma lost Polly not too long ago, and she is still very sad. It's never easy losing a beloved feathered one.
