 I had lost my GCC Nitro after a freak accident. I was very upset and after long knew I needed another feathered friend to fill the hole in my heart. I had put a post on Craigslist that I was looking to adopt another bird. Several people replied to the ad but Minna, Simon's breeder, caught my attention most. She told me about the little 1 year old OWA she hand-raised (she normally parent-raises her chicks) was ready to find a new home. I drove 2 hours away to meet him and we bonded right away. He came home with me that night and we've been best friends since. |

NutriBerries, AviCakes, ZuPreem bird cookies, freeze-dried chicken, sun-dried sweet potato, and other fruits and veggies. Oh, and don't forget about french fries ;)
 At home: On top of his cage, on the back of the computer chair, or on the towel rack in the bathroom.
At work: On top of the travel cage, on the back of any of the chairs, and on peoples' arms
 Being tickled, hearing squeaky toys, when toys "fight back", being ignored for too long
 She's a bird fanatic! She worked as a parrot caretaker and trainer at the local zoo, and she currently works as a cat/dog nutritionist (the store she works at has nothing but all-natural goodies that I sneak bites of when I visit with her). She puts up with me even though I act like a total Amazon...oh wait!
 Serenades the vacuum cleaner, broom, steamer, etc., dropping things on the floor (on purpose) for Mom to pick up, harassing the dog, screaming when hungry, tired, bored, or for the heck of it.
 I may look like a bird, but I'm really a feather covered dinosaur....

Hey Simon! Thanks for visiting my page. That is cool that your human worked at a Zoo. Mine used to work at the Bird Park where I used to live before they closed it. Now she works at the local no-kill animal shelter with cats and dogs. We were watching the playoff games today, so I got some popcorn. Not as good as french fries, but as you know we Zons aren't that fussy about our junk food....Hope you enjoyed your day!
