Mom made Dad a special breakfast this morning and we all got to join in in the breakfast feast. Then she made him a Apple pie Plus he got gifts so dad was treated like a king today. Then they left tongi see brother in the Hospital. When they got home we had pie and Ice cream. Yummy. Now we are spending cuddle time with mom .

THE NURSE TOLD MOM TO GO HOME AND GET SOME REST NOW. BROTHER IS DOING GOOD . HE GOES IN MONDAY MORNING TO GET THE CHEST TUBE OUT . THEN HE WIL HAVE TO STAY IN THE HOSPITAL A FEW MORE DAYS SO WE ARE LOKING AT WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY HE WILL BE GOME. WE KNOW HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT EASY FOR A FEW WEEKS. GOOD THING MOM IS OFF WORK AND HIS GIRLFRIEND WILL BE HERE TO HELP ;). MOM AND DAD WILL BE UP EARLY AND AT THE HOSPITAL TOMR SO WE WILL BE SPENDING THE DAY ALONE. Happy Father's Day vote. The Milonga is fast approaching--22nd--and I sure hope you will be able to join me there. I love roller blading so it should be lots of fun, especially being with my sweetheart. JACK smiles softly at the name Peatree.
Sky' & Baby's wedding is coming quickly--SEPT isn't that far away. I'm very eggcited for him and his BB. Sky is a lucky boy to have such a lovely lady-bird, just like I do!!!!
I can't stand all the rain, and no sunshine. It rained Friday and now today. Maybe we won't have summer??? Oh no!!!

HI Peatree,
today mum's put 2 new pics of me up. I just had my bath & was looking at myself in the mirror, after all one has to check if all the feathers are in order.
She also put some new pal pics up. At the moment she's into making a series of fantasy baby cockatoos, in all baby colors. They're meant for new parents to put them in their nurseries, she's already sold some.
Then there is a new fluffy rose breasted too,she made the octopi stand up & changed the nostrils of the pink pig from beige to black. Also two new little snow girl & boy.
It's finally getting a bit wintery here & mum had to give up her swimming due to colder water temps.
She had her last swim yesterday. Now she's starting to go on long walks in the park again & maybe feed the cockatoos again?
Hope you had a good time since i squawked to you last time.

Thank you for the congratulations on botd!!Its made my hatchday even more special.My moms been spoiling me rotten today.I got a new rubber ball bell,then a bag of shelled nuts,a treat stick,and my favorite a coconunt covered pinecone.Of course mom says I cant have all of them at once but thats okay.Come by the caslte for some fun there is a beach party at the castle lake and of course go-kart races.See you later my friend.

How is everything? How is the new fid doing? We have a new fid too! Green is nice but very nervous and afraid of hands! The only time he steps up is if he flutters to the ground! I hope he gets used to us soon! Sheena is doing ok.. I'm still picking My feathers and moms getting upset with me! Looks like Green is molting big time! He does this thing where he shakes his tail feathers like a duck!! We never seen anything like that before. Do you do that too? :) Moms car wont be inspected until Monday! She put a claim in with the ladies Ins. Co who hit her car in the parking lot! Did you check out mango's video yet? He was taking a bath outside. Mom uploaded it on the BC!! :)

Hello every birdie, it is SKY with this weeks SPOTLIGHT on CARING with my goofy, fun loving buddies Polly, and Zippy and their Momma Karen
SKY; When did you first become interested in birds? How did you become a bird owner?
Momma Karen; My grandmother had a pair of budgies that she allowed free in the house when I was young. They would go to her and 'talk' with her, imitate and call the outdoor birds. Grandma also fed the outdoor birds and would have jays and other birds sit on her as she offered them seeds. Seeing the different birds going to her is what started my interest.
Sky; Please tell us all, when did you first join Bird Channel? Polly; Momma joined B.C. in 2008.

SKY; How are you involved with birds in general? Momma Karen; I just talk about birds all the time in the various social settings I find myself in.
Sky; Momma Karen, could you tell us about the birds in your life, both past & present?
Momma Karen ;As a child I had a budgie that I had purchased from a dime store. Somehow it ended up with mites, I think. This was back in the 1960s, so there was no vet care and I was very ignorant. The poor thing died when I was on vacation with my family. He was well tended by the before mentioned grandmother. After my 5th human child, the family wanted a pet. Friends were breeding budgies at that time and gave us one for me taking care of the birds (and mice, and rabbits) while they were on vacation. I learned about the sensitivity of their breathing with this one. I moved our 'pet' back into the family space too soon after spraying for lice—we were having great difficulty getting rid of lice. About the time Orion died, Loki was hatched. The same friends let us have a 'replacement'. Still learning about avian vets, Loki lived for 8 years, but died because of a tumor. We had not found an avian vet.

It's great to hear from you. I don't care about mom's glasses, but Willie sure is fascinated with them! Giz goes for the gold; the earrings, necklace, etc.
Congratulations to the Dragons on their win yesterday. They had that game in the bag from the first inning. The Keets played their hearts out, too. We had to leave in the 7th inning because of thunderstorms, but we went back later to see what happened.
Today it's supposed to stop raining and get sunny, at least for awhile. So far it hasn't though. If mom can't get to the pool again today, she'll probably go to the summer flower show or the aviary. She will have to work at the museum tonight, though, and is still hoping for a bit of sunshine. Hope you are having a good day with lots of sun and attention, too. Hugs, Falco

That's good that Jester enjoys going to the bird club with your mom since you don't. Heard he got the dreaded claw trim as well. It's best for the fidsitter not to deal with sharp claws.

Hmmm, we never bother with glasses much and skinsis time with braces was a long time ago, but don't remember us paying any attention to 'em.

Power wash? I never seen that, is your cages that bad?

Mom just uses the pet focus stuff to clean my cage and a couple times a year a full wash/clean my cage.

Well, its only me now so mom doesn't have much except to make the dining room Pookieville. :)

So what kind of power washer does your mom have? Mom is thinking of getting one but wants to make sure it would be ok with our cages. She has a steam cleaner she uses now and it does a good job so not sure she should get one though. The grands had braces and the one would get different colors on every 6 or 9 weeks. She liked the floresent colors the best. Now she just has the wire in behind her teeth so you dont see anything there. The other grand still has the wires though. There is a cowbird in our backyard that a starling bird is feeding it. The cowbird is big and the starling is so small it looks so funny when you see it happen. Dad says the cowbirds lay their eggs in other birds nests and then leave the other birds raise it. Once the cowbird hatches he is so big he kicks the babies out of the nest so apparently that is how this starling ended up raising the cowbird. Poor starling looks like it should be the one being fed and probably wonders how she had such a big kid that eats so much LOL. “Live in love it will make your heart bloom like a flower…each petal touching someone”. You poor thing having to go to the fid sitter,we just came home from the fid sitter a few weeks ago! I mean we stayed home in our own room and cages while the fid sitter came here to change out our papers,feed us from the baggies of already doled out food for the week that Mom made up for us and to give Dixie his meds which were all ready in seven dishes for each day that Mom was gone! I was a bad birdie and got out of my cage and let Dixie out of his cage and I gave the fid sitter a hard time getting me back in! Oh those braces sound very tantalizing! My baby fister Candi,who looks like your twin would really love those and your sweet Mom's glasses also! I swear she thinks she's a cockatiel! LOL!

It's great to hear from you. Oh no first you got your cage cleaned and a nail trim .i know how you feel we got our cages power washed to plus nail trim and a wing trim. On Sunday it was awful. OH don't you like the setter I know Your mommy is better but sometimes they just got to take a break from us. Don't know why but they do. Sounds like Jester had a great time seeing his friends and getting cuddles at the club meeting. Do you ever get to go the club meetings or do you prefer to stay home? Mom made us some toys today nothing fancy but she had the parts and decided to make a few things. mom making spaghetti and eat sauce tonight yummy its one of my favorites My frother Waddles is in the kissing booth now come and join us on the beach. Oh that is a double whammy what a way to start the week off with hope the rest of your day is going better.That Holly sounds like me I like to after anything shiney my mom has on.
We are having quite the warm day here It's pretty humid out if it wasn't for that it wouldn't be to bad out at all.Mom just took me for a nice long walk and When we got back home she unzipped my stroller and stuck her hand in and I surprised her be saying step up and then laughed.Of course she laughed because It's the first time she has heard me say that I guess I wanted to save her from saying it.Have a good evening.

I hope you are enjoying your day! It got near 80 here yesterday so I decided to take a shower! Yep! I know! I am not a water bird and I don't really like showers but it felt good! I made a real mess too so that's always a bonus!hehehehehehe
We are getting ready for our annual fire inspection on Friday. They come in and check all the smoke alarms, sprkinlers and the carbon monoxide alarm. Mom has to finish up her closet now since there is a sprkinler in there! She's been dragging her feet getting it cleaned up and has piles of stuff on the floor! She has to lean in to get clothes!hahahahahahaha It's not a huge closet but there was so much stuff in there that you couldn't find anything! At least it won't take very long and I'll be there to help! I can always start chewing up the plastic hangers if there are too many in there! I know that would be a great help!

Congrats Amazing Crackerjack Conures!
I guess I should play silent at more games - hehehe! Way to go, Conures! And huge thanks to Coach Kirby for taking over and doing a bang up job today, wire snakes and all! hehehe!

Reading the game line, kudos to Coach Kirby for not one, but TWO, holy cow, TWO Home Runs!!!! He knows how to lead a team to victory!

And congrats to Riley, Falco, Corky, Popeye and Pookie on their Home Runs! Our team can't be beat with stars like these! And great job to Cookie, Peatree and Martini keeping our team on base and making lots of runs! Thanks for coming out to support our team and help the cheerleaders: Peetie, Chaka, Dixie!

Falco - extra commendation to you for bringing those wonderful CJC tattoos! Bet there will be a lot of discussions around the dinner perches tonite with so many birdies wearing them proudly!

And last but not least - our awesome Cheer Team! Keeping our spirits flying and helping us play with not 100% but 150% effort!

Now we have a bit of a rest on our laurels before our next game! We'll be playing the Major League Beaks on Thursday, June 13th. At least it's not Friday the 13th - hehehe! So let's rest up and get ready to do it all again and win the next game!

Prepare as the CJCs take on the Silver Sluggers
TOMORROW at Kevlar Stadium (that's Tuesday, June 4th)! This is gonna be a tuff game so get a good nite's rest and eat lots of carbs and proteins!

I will be dropped off early so I'm hoping Falco or Kirby or another team member will step up to coaching duties. I've asked around and many are busy tomorrow as well! here are pics of mum's market last Saturday. She had fun & met a lot of nice people, but only sold 8 pals. She's not complaining though & thinks that it was pretty good for starters. The other new pics are of my pal, a brand new B&G macaw, she just finished it today. It's a very big one & she thinks her best one yet! A new, bigger octopus, she made on order. It's going to be on display in the kiosk, down at her pool, where she swims. Then there's a gathering of snow men. She thought since it is nearly winter here, she might as well make some. And last, but not least, a very cute fluffy, light pink baby cockatoo, which is already sold.
It's getting slowly colder here, but we still have plenty of sunshine. Hope you had a great week.
Dsd's still at home, but has to go back to work this Thursday, i sure will miss him being here all day long.

I hope you are having a really great day! I've been busy at work on the calendar page all morning. Since it's the last day of May, I've got lots to change out tonight. I've been going over hatchday lists too and removing the birds who haven't been on for over a year. If they ever come back, I'll add them back on.
We've got chores to get done as soon as the baseball game is done. I've already had the play cage cleaned out and I was not happy about that at all! For some reason when the cage is being cleaned, Merlin and Mandy are very interested in it! Mandy sitcks her head in to see if I dropped any food and Merlin gets under it to see if he can find some snacks! You know mom feeds us all really well so I don't understand why they are always looking for more! They shoud also know better than to get near my cage! It's deffinately Sugar Only Territory!!
Don't worry about Jester needing extra time. He is still new at your house and it takes us birds a bit of time to get use to things. It was 3 months before I would even step up for mom!!

Yeah I know what you mean, I didn't like to share either but now that my fister is gone I miss her.

Mom is still hurting and will be having 3 MRI's this week on both shoulders and her right forearm.

Here's a vote for you. I'm not sure when i'll be back on but i'll see how mom feels as it hurts to type for her.

Today is Wednesday. We are blogging one day late because the parront was very busy yesterday. Next week she will be very busy so we don't know yet if we will be able to blog. Hopefully we will. Lets keep our wings crossed. heee.

DAY 28
THE FUNERAL part 1
Since my travel back home to Canada, my dad has been making lots of calls to my aunt who was looking after their sister. She was getting worse each day. My cousin was getting very worried and hoped the hospital had bed available for my aunt to get in. Then in the middle of may, my aunt finally got an available bed. She spent a 2 or 3 weeks in the hospital and my dad was paying for her health. Then the doctors called and talked to my aunt and told my dad that my aunt was in critical condition. My cousins and aunt were praying for my aunt to be ok and make it through the disease. When our family here heard that she was in critical condition, and she was in a coma, my mom’s family came over to our house to pray and hope that god would help my aunt from the suffering and pain she was feeling. My uncle was reading the quran aloud, and my 2 grandmothers, my aunt and dad were both in tears praying for my aunt to make it through. It was very sad, i never saw my dad cry before because he was a man and never showed his tears. But this situation was different, I cried too, seeing my family cry and my aunt in critical condition, and was very sad and sorrow. Suddenly, I remembered having a dream months ago, were I saw my aunt in the hospital bed and my aunt beside her. Then I cried even more when I was starting to feel my aunt wouldn’t make it. Then, while me and my siblings were asleep and dad was still awake with my mom to hear from the doctor. A call came from Lebanon and my mom answered it. Doctor: “ I am sorry to report but with deepest symphonies, your sister in law has passed away this morning.” I woke in the middle of the night, then I saw my family who was still here. Apparently they came back as soon as they heard the news. I didn’t know what to do but feel sad for dad and cry. I was worried that my grandmother would get a heart attack, hearing that her first daughter has passed away. My dad said that my aunt was a good sister when he was young, she cared and looked after me. I loved her very much. On May 29 2012, the day my aunt died. My dad hasn’t seen her for 23 years, but he was glad that I got to see my aunt and made her very happy because she loved me very much. My cousins, the youngest one out of them, was very shocked and was in tears. She loved her mother so much, and I felt very bad for her. My oldest cousin went to the hospital to find out what happen with taking my other cousin because she knew her sister would collapse seeing what happened. To be continued……

Glad that Jester s doing good. Oh don't you just hate it when other FIBLING take over your mom and blog time. Tell Bell we will vote for her s she running for June or July? My frother waddles will be at the BC Kissing booth June 10-24 so stop by if you have time. The new painting is nice.

I been giving moms hard time today I tried to bite her a few times. She told me if I don't stop it's a time out for me or lock down . Ya I want to see her try she will get a good bite :) don't mess with a conure that's on the edge.

We are under another Tornado watch tonight . this is the 3 rd night in a Rowe enough is enough great another night of storms grrrrrrrrrr. . Now some rivers are at flood stage. . They are saying after 10:00 tonight. Dad said if its going to storm do it during the day it's easier to see the storm coming. The little dog mom been baby setting is here until Friday he doing good He (Jeter ) and Kringle was on squirrel watch this morning it was so cute well that what mom said I was still sleeping in. Then we got up mom made us breakfast and we got our showers and cages cleaned Mom and brothers are going to take the dogs for a walk later if its not storming. Mom gave me a grape and I threw it at her tehe so kicking your vote.. Friends MOODY MOCHA ( ha ha funny mom)
