He was being fostered by a lovely lady who rescued him from a very neglectful household. She and I were brought together by the president of the Alaska Bird Club, an organization that offers adoption services. I was warned by the foster mom that Ben was very aggressive, and when she first brought him home, it took her two weeks to get him out of his cage! She did a fantastic job rehabilitating him, because within an hour of us bringing him home, he was roosting happily on my shoulder and preening me..

Active within 536 Days Hi! My name is Benetton I am a Sun Conure from Wasilla, AK. "Ben-Ben" and "Featherbutt" 18 years old M Sun Conure Grapes! But I like to try to steal anything away from mommy when she's eating. On daddy's shoulder and under mommy's chin. I've got a weird phobia of anything stick-like, from pens to crutches. She lets me do everything with her! I didn't like the husband at first, but now we're best buddies, too! I like to laugh heartily (literally "HAR HAR HAR!") when my parents get dressed- they look funny without feathers! I also say "Uh-oh!" whenever I see one of the two cats I live with.. "I am BIRD!".
