Hey Raffikki
Last night mom and the family celebrated Mother's Day with a lovely dinner at a Japanese restaurant. It was one of those places where the chef comes and fixes a hibachi meal with lots of flare, so it was fun to watch. Today it's another beautiful day, so after mom's tours this afternoon, I just know we'll get to go outside for awhile. She hasn't set up the fountain yet, so she may get to that today or tomorrow. She already has a base set up, so just needs to assemble and plug in the pump to get it started. We are still hoping for a few veggies, but we are out of space to plant! Our bird club meeting went really well and after Arthur settled down, he did okay also! He did a lot of growling, barking, and wolf whistles, crazy bird! My Raiders play their first game tomorrow, and I am cautiously optimistic about our chances! Win or lose, we shall use this game as a learning experience and build from it! Think having so much rain one year and not enough the next it evens out so next year we will hopefully get a normal amount. Years ago we had several years in a row of not much rain so people turned off fountains, reduced their lawn size or eliminated 'em and put in rocks, cactus that sorta thing instead. Think pool and spa places suffered as no one was adding hot tubs/pools. Changing to lowflow faucets and toilets went up though.
We went to our team practice and also saw the Preakness. The parronts did a bit of shopping in the morning, but no flea market until next Sat.
What color(s) is the afghan gonna be?

Yes, I know that tone of voice when mom says we have to leave for the basement ...NOW! She taught Bailey the word emergency. She says I have to practice that.
I hope they are right about Sunday, I want to go outside.
Today was the Preakness Stakes. The winner was OXBOW. The KY Derby winner, ORB came in 4th. So, no Triple Crown again this year.
We had a rainy chilly day again. Sunday is suppose to be 80 and sunny. I hope so! Then two days of severe t-storms, then just rain and back down to 62 degrees. HEY! Where is our good weather? I’m still waiting!

How are u sweetie? Nothing much happened here today, except mom stayed home all day! We had a beautiful day of 78! I spent a lot of time outside today, but didn't get to drive my car, coz I don't really like to be out in the direct sun! Mom swears that I can smell when rain is coming, coz when it got real cloudy & looked like it would rain, I started freaking out & wouldn't let her take me off the porch! I ran up her arm & scrambled onto her back & told her NOOOOO, I hold on to mom's shirt, pant, & gently flap my wings, while on her back...mom calls it my rain dance I wouldn't get off her back & onto her hand until she went back inside! Mom calls Mom told me it was not raining, but I wasn't taking her word about it! I DO NOT like OUTSIDE shower baths!

Hi Raffi,
I'm watching you from above and i'm smiling down at you and know that you will do good. I so miss you.
Mom seems to be getting worse now her left shoulder is getting sore. :(
She is off work till the 30th and goes back to work on the 31st hoping to be better.
She has sought legal cousel, and is trying to abide by the process that has to be done in order to collect.
She hopes to get the support from Indiana Sam's mom Debi.
She will be here this coming Monday and mom can't wait.
Mom got the kleenex boxes all ready to to.

Hi Raffikki,
Another nice day here with a high of 75. They say tomorrow will be warmer though, so Mom is planning to get me outside for sunbath early before she goes to the gym. Now if she would just stay home.....
Anyway today was burritos for lunch day! Mom always gets a chile relleno burrito and shares it with me, which is terrific. Now if I could just get her to stop calling me burrito breath!

My daddy's checkup went pretty well, but had to have his meds readjusted, his BP was to high making him dizzy when he stands up! He must go back in three weeks for a quick re-check of things! He was really bummed for having to miss the baseball game, and it looked like good one! Congrats to Screech for joining the 10K Club! Dad has a QCPS bird club meeting this afternoon and evening, poor Arthur is going to get a nails and beak job, and I am taking bets on how much blood will be spilled, LOL! Mom is almost done with the Pickles book. Our weekend is a mixed bag; mom is doing tours today and tomorrow, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Today the dogs go to the groomer, but when mom drops them off, I think she is planning on taking us all outside! YAY!! It's so pretty here, with all the flowers in bloom. The irises have started to blossom, too. Tonight, mom and her family are celebrating Mother's Day. They always wait to do that, so they aren't in crowded restaurants and being hustled to eat fast. Tomorrow, tours are in the afternoon, so again, we might get outside. I think that's all for this weekend. I hope you are having a fun weekend, and get a chance to enjoy some fantastic weather where you are, as well. The parronts have not heard any declarations of drought announced. There wasn't much rain this season, but guess there's enough reserved from last year. Still, since we've often had lil rain we are quite used to conserving and not wasting any water.

DAY 17 ~ THANKS FOR THE VOTE!
DANIA'S LIFE part 9
After leaving Montreal to go home, I started researching on the Internet about lovebirds. When I was done, I decided to buy a lovebird. My dad told me I could buy one from kijiji. So the type of lovebird I chose was fischers lovebird. I looked all over kijiji but none of them lived closer to my area. So I decided to pick another type of lovebirds. The next one I chose was the peach-faced lovebird then I did research. I went one kijiji and found a bird breeder who was breeding lovebirds and budgies. She had 2 lovebirds that we're coupled, the green one was 5 months and the yellow one was 4 months. I somehow got dad to get me two birds instead of one. So we contacted the lady and went to her house. It was long trip to me to get to neapean. When we got there, the house had noisy chirping birds. The lady was handfeeding a lovebird! It was so cute and adorable. She showed me around then she showed me the two lovebirds. I brought the cage with me to the two birds inside. The lady asked "What are you going to name your new birds?" Since the green one was a boy and he reminded me of super Mario, I named him Luigi. The yellow one who was a girl, I named her Angel, because she was yellow with white flight and rump feathers so it reminded me of the sun. Today was suppose to be nice but it was cold (jacket weather) and dreary. I hope that Saturday and/or Sunday will be nice. cause they say that a bad severe storm will be here on Monday. I don't like tornadoes! The last time, mom and I had to sit in the basement ... NOT fun.
Yes, the Preakness is Saturday (May 18) on NBC. Turn your TV on from 4:30 to 6:30pm EDT. Hope it's a good one!

How are u sweetie? Mom must REALLY be guilt-ridden! She's still falling all over herself to take care of my every desire! She held me & played with me until she had to leave for her Drs appt, then got me out of my cage as soon as she returned! Tho, mom was very weepy when she got back. The vet's office had called her, her precious Chloe's ashes were back, mom stopped there to pick her up. Chloe's urn is a beautiful decorator jar. Now mom has her precious Chloe back home forever!
I knew exactly how I would cheer my mom up! First, I gave her some big beakie kisses, told her LOVE U, then proceeded to tell her all about my game! MOM, WE WON OUR 1ST GAME! IT WAS REALLY CLOSE THO! THE GREYS PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT, & THEY ARE GOOD FRIENDS, SO AS HAPPY AS I WAS FOR US, I WAS SAD FOR THEM! Mom smiled & gave me a cuddle & some kisses, & said she was very proud of me! Not for winning, but for being a good sport & thinking of my friends' feelings!
The school across the street was having their annual carnival, so mom took me over so I could gawk at all the kids & say HI! I was a regular birdie ambassador! I was on my best behavior! I kept saying HI, did my tricks, let a bunch of kids pet me & gave out a couple kisses to a couple brave souls, but mostly to mom! Mom bought a couple pieces of pizza, so I lost interest in the crowd of people & focused on the food! Mom stuck me on her shoulder so she could carry our pizza, coz mom needs her cane to walk! I was sooooo focused on the food that I was begging on the way back to our house! I'm not sure about u little guys, but when we macaws beg, we drop our heads, flatten our bodies & "gently" flap our wings! The entire walk back, I kept saying MMMMMM in her ear, & each flap I bopped her on the same ear! When we got back into our house, she couldn't hear out of her left ear for a little while! Hehehe, but I had a great time! YES, it's another great day to be me! & yes, the pizza was delicious!

It was a beautiful day here today. After Mom got home from the gym, we went outside for my sunbath. Even though it was pretty breezy, it was just perfect. Not too hot, and the breeze was warm.
Then we came inside and Mom and I shared lunch. It was one of her lo cal frozen lunches, but that's OK. It had corn, rice and a few black beans (I got them all), and what could be better than that?

Sorry you guys lost today, but that was a really close game, so you're sure to win the next one! It was a close game, but the CJCs lost. Congratulations to the Wonder Wings, though, they played a good game. Mom just got home from her 2 tours today, and she is finishing our blogs before she goes outside to finish the planting. Hello Raffikki~
I hope you are having a wonderful day. I've got the gardeners here to watch. They are outside my window mowing the lawns! Pretty soon Mandy will be woofing to go out just because she likes to smell the fresh cut grass! Mom takes her for a walk everyday and Mandy has decided she likes to walk down to the Starbucks. Do you suppose it's the scones they sell? I always share my scones with her so maybe she figured she just go down there and get us some! I like the way she thinks!!
Mom already went to the market before I even got up! The store is open 24 hours a day. It's less crowded early in the mornings but mom has to put up with freight on the floor and the floor scrubber being used. Since she works nights at a store, she is use to that stuff.
She got me some pecans so I'm looking forward to my snack! I'll be having apples and pecans today! Yum!
I'll be supervising the chores later on and letting mom know how she should do stuff! We all know our parronts would be lost without us!!

I missed you to.Everyones doing fine here mommy Staci has been getting ready for surgery on her right arm due to tendonitis.If your not to busy fly by to help me with our little bros while my mommy goes back and forth to the doc.It looks like mommy Erins partying like a rock star heehee.

Morning Raffi, from a busy Jenny
We don't have much time for votes and notes today, dad has his routine bi-annual complete physical today at the VA Clinic! No need for concern, he is doing pretty good, but they have to monitor his blood content and EKG readings, and lung capacity, and blood sugars! Art and Ziggy will be dropped off at their team dugouts, and all the rest of us will wait for the game in the stands! Hope you'll have a nice day, and give my love to all in your peaceful little home...

Hi, Raffikki,
Two strands would be very plush, but do knit a sample to see how it feels and yes, must ensure not to drop a strand as one then must go back and fix it. Might try using size 8, 9 and 10 to see what all of 'em looks like. Don't want it too thick. It will go a lot faster at the end of stitch the squares together as you go. Just plan it all out in advance if needed.
Tried to rain yesterday. The ground got wet. The sun was back out by the afternoon. Temps are in the low 70s and reportedly will drop into the 60s today. If the sun is out that'll feel quite nice for leaving the windows open.

After a yummy lunch
mama Erin tells the boys they should take a little rest - Raffi's first game is today and we want him ready . . . they nod and beg to be able to take their rest in the tree house.
