Feather Picking...Help!!!
Well, I've moved and now three months later Ezmeralda has all but plucked herself clean. Today her tail feathers went by the wayside. I thought she was on the upswing as her down feathers are coming back in and pinfeathers are appearing. Her appetite is good, she is energetic, she has run of the room and her perch is in the window so she can see the birds outside on the feeder. Could it be hormonal?Any clues?Come visit me, Ezmeralda.

Mating?
Thanks Janet, I have noticed that her temperament has changed just a little bit and I figured that she was maturing, but I didn't associate it with that mating thing. Do you let your bird drink coffee or just give her a cup of water?

Our little one started to become agressive towards my husband. Try to solved the problem as soon as you can.
Try different things. Maybe give your bird it's own cup of coffee.
Maybe it's that possessive mating time of the year.
Hope you can soon drink your coffee without all the fuss.

Friday - 9:20am - House Arrest
Ezmeralda is being detained for up to 24 hours and an ankle monitor has been fitted. She has been accused of owning the kitchen for herself and not allowing her mom and dad to fill their coffee cups without sinking her little beak into their wrists and fingers.
She is being held without bail.Come visit me, Ezmeralda.

parrotlets are the best. we just love our little one who is 5 yrs old. she has dunked her tail in my coffee thinking it would be a wonderful bath. enough of that.
