Hi Napoleon! I Found The Best Baseball Quote For
...the day! It's from Lefty Gomez! Now, I'm not comparing him to you. No not at all. But I thought it was a cute detail most folks don't understand about his contribution to baseball. They hear about his great feats with his pitching & all the awards & things he's given credit for. BUT I never knew how terrible a hitter he was!! Like I said, that doesn't mean YOU are!! But it made me stop & think how each of us has a talent. It may not be like every birdie else's talent but it's OURS!!! And we may just become so greyt at it, that it may not matter that we aren't well rounded or perfect, but that we use our talent for the good of our team!! Here's the daily scuttlebutt from my house: Wednesday hump day!! Mom was up early to get me a good start on my blogs BUT there's always something, ya know, that seems to always come blundering in & mess up the schedule! I was able to say my congrats to the BOTD, got over to work in some practice at the team page, & just when I was going to vote for that BOTM cutie, Bellatrix, Mom finds out that some worthless person has hacked her FaceBook Account and had started a bunch of mischief using MOM'S NAME!!!! But this happened when Mom was away, to Nanny's house! She just found out about it NOW & Mom doesn't know what will happen because of this mess. But she's already changed her password. Blocked the people who may have been innocent bystanders, but blocked nevertheless! So, my typist, is a bit wonkered because of this intrusion. I hate it when Mom becomes distracted. And believe me, this is a huge distraction to Mom!!!

Well, the Sluggers had a greyt practice today. We've been practicing batting with each other and with the machine. It's hot but Mom brought out some grub & cool liquids to fuel us up again. She turned off the heater but the jacuzzi is turned on but so are the misters! I love to be misted with that fine spray! They used something quite similar in Atlanta during the Summer Olympics there. Those things are amazing!! Your soaking wet before you even realize just how much water is on you!

I would love to go to the milonga with you or anywhere else you offered to take me...even the moon LOL. I guess I should of asked you too before I tried to enter us in the couples skate and sorry I didnt so please for give me too. I would love to be in the race with you for the milonga though so please sign us up honey. If we win it would be nice but if we dont that is ok too cause I just love being with you anywhere you are. We didnt realize the couples skate would require so much effort and you know mom isnt good with this stuff at all so that is why I opted out too and the same with Gus as well.
Oh mom goes to one place or for groceries and is tired when she gets back and bang dang boom the day is gone! LOL. Well that is what she says it seems so sure know what your mom means.
Yesterday mom and dad went to the trail to walk and just got down there and it started to sprinkle. Mom had her umbrella but dad was on his bike so he was ahead of mom but turned around pretty darn quick when the rain got heavier. Mom kept walking a bit and finally turned around too. They sat in the pickup awhile when they got back and pretty soon the rain quit and the sun came out so they got out and mom walked and dad did the bike. They got back and came home and the skies opened up and mom was sure glad she was home then! “Live in love it will make your heart bloom like a flower…each petal touching someone”. You Were Awesome Pitching Today!
Today our team went up against those Mighty Macaws. I knew we had our work cut out for us but I planned to face them with everything we've got! Well, it wasn't enough & we lost to a better team. Now, one bird doesn't win a game & neither does one bird lose a game. I'm gonna call A.M. practices for the next 3 days and again next Monday the 17th. This will be above & beyond
what we need to do. But I want to win!! I think you do, too! I'd be mighty proud to work our way to winning with this good team by my side. That's great you got to have some practice time! I've been noticing how your pitching AND your batting is really improving!!
Your practicing has been fruitful! I'm having to work a little extra hard myself! I do appreciate you so much Napoleon!

Our Monday started out with a splash & about lunch time is when the sun came out. However, the wind was fairly breezy & the promises of afternoon rains seemed likely! That sun was taunting me to no end! "Come out! Come out! I have a surprise for you!" Yep, it sure DID!! Those winds picked up just as the game was getting started, then lightening like CRAZY!! Mom pulled up the weather channel site & saw we were under a tornado watch until 10pm! One great big KABOOM had Mom scrambling to turn everything off & pull me back home before I got sat down to watch the game!! DRATS!! I feel so jaded by outside time!

The hummingbirds are in extreme overdrive. Mom's mate just hung up all the feeders yesterday evening with newly mixed sugar water & they've already drank the feeders to the half way marks! That's 5 feeders filled with sugar water!!! They must be HUNGRY all the time! Mom says that's true, she'd love to borrow their metabolisms for half an hour! Any longer than that would be hard on the ole' ticker! They are one of the most interesting birds to watch! TV is takin' a back seat around here to be out on the front porch and watching them zoom in & zoom out. Lots of times they zoom through the porch area chasing & battling each other! You can hear their bills clicking & clacking as they joust with each other like skilled fencing athletes! Mom is passing out the extra motorcycle helmets with face shields! She's almost had a couple of them crash into her face & head!

...touch and they have fixed the mix up in the last game we had with the CrackerJack Conures. Nobirdy is switching teams. It was just a typo and we all know how our Moms have done the same thing themselves. This didn't mess up the scoring, all that stays the same. There just ain't gonna be any trading of players.

Willie is part of the Verona flock and mom and his mom are buddies and we dont live far from them so the moms often meet up at the shows and stuff. Willies mom is a very nice lady too. Your the only one in my ♥ though Napoleon so dont worry about that!
Oh mom always gives the grands $$ and a birthday card she makes for them but she also calls them on their special day too and sings happy birthday to them and though they dont say much know they will remember when they are older and mom isnt around to do it any longer.
That is good your mom got to sits a spell and rest. Our mom doesnt sit much either. She says she gets too sore if she sits for long.
BC is so slow tonight and keeps giving us the squawk page so we are just hoping to get her blogs done here and not be up till midnight doing it too LOL.
Yesterday it was so warm here. Mom got my bath bowl out and I saw her doing it and I started to cheech real loud. She filled it up with water and put it in my condo and I got right in. I took a really good bath and had my peach face cheeks red LOL. Oh Willie my heart beats just for you!
Oh our mom is funny and loves fruits and veggies and is so happy when summer comes cause she can get the fresh stuff then. She has some big bags but dont think she can fit in one and havent seen her try yet but I am keeping an eye on her LOL.
A little short tonight cause mom and dad went to visit dads mom at the farm and it takes an hour one way to get there. Mom crochets along the way LOL. Yesterday mom called the grand before she went to school to sing happy birthday to her. Now moms singing voice has a lot to be desired but her being so sweet she thanked mom for calling her and singing to her. Sure made mom feel good and wish she could sing better but the thought is sure there. Hi My honey bunch Napoleon ♥
Well if we meet at a game we are both pitchers but we can pitch woo instead LOL. Guess we are so much alike that is why we are both pitchers too though. Oh if your parronts go to Portland stop in and see the one grand she lives there and skin sis lives in Vancouver. Skin sis actually works in Portland though.
Mom says she is turning into a fid from living with us LOL. She is tired and ready for bed sooner then she was before and at daylight she is ready to get up. Dad said one part of that tree came down that was big around and about 25’ long and went in the ground about 2’ deep. Dad cut it off cause it was hung up on branches and the part stuck in the ground he left about 3’ high so it almost looked like a tree stuck in the ground. Someone said they were coming down the road and saw lightening hit it and dad said there is a mark on the tree almost the length of the tree. Oh honey bunches!
You look soooo sweet in your uniform and I am a pitcher for my team too! Oh we sure are so much alike eh? I am so happy your mom is going to announce my team tomorrow and Rosie will be a great announcer too...she looks so cute with her ear pieces and all LOL. Your mom can help me express myself tomorrow cause my typist has something to do and might not be able to type for me but I sure will be there to play ball. That is a bummer that your dads bike broke and he couldnt race but hope its a minor problem and easy to fix too. I bet you could fix it for him though Napoleon cause you have such strong wings and can do anything I think and Chi chi gives Napoleon one of her big beak smiles and bats her eyes at him.
Yesterday was a busy day here for mom. First she went to visit with skin brother to give his middle child and moms grand daughter her birthday card and money for her birthday. Of course mom made her card and that one had a picture of her in it when she was younger so they always like those kind the best. Mom gave skin brother his birthday card too and moms daughter in law her card too and their birthdays are both next month. Skin brothers card had a picture of him when he was younger standing and rolling on a barrel and of course he told his children that wasn’t a smart thing to do now. Of course mom had to take pictures of them each with their cards to add in the albums too. Then mom went to the craft show and that was fun and you know she came home with some bags of course. When mom came home she cleaned our cages and fed us and fixed supper for her and dad. Pretty soon they got their baths and went to listen to some band with moms sister and her husband and grand daughter. The parronts were home pretty early though so we sat up with them a while and had loving time before we went to bed so was a busy day. If we arent on this coming week some times we are just busy cause mom has some things to do and not sure if or when we will be on or not but wanted to let you know so you don’t worry. “Friendship, like flowers, blooms ever more fair, when carefully tended by dear girlfriends who care.” V4U my boyfriend, Chi chi.

Your sure having lots of excitement there with the yard guys and the wild birds too. How nice that will be to plant all those trees. You must have lots of property there for so many trees and plants so that is really great. We just have a lot here which is what most houses in our neighborhood has but we have a few trees and plants around but not close to the house. Dad planted a red maple tree a few years ago and this year is it is finally starting to branch out.
Oh Napoleon I will love going to the derby and being with you there too. Its always so much fun being with you and we can stroll around and see all our friends there. Perhaps we can share a dance or two in the evening too and Chi chi blushes as she pictures herself dancing in Napoleons big strong wings. Oh I didnt know I could vote for Gus and Tapit so will need to do if I can figure out how...thanks for telling me.
Skin sis asked mom to help her make a few cards. yes mom was up very late blogging everyone and thanking them for the botd wishes and for making me botd that day. At least she finally got them done so that was good. Your mom will be busy with Chica next.
That is neat the birds feel so at lease they build a nest right in the flower pots and you can all watch them too! Yes a few more weeks will make a big difference for your dad to race then and hope he does well in the race too!
I heard mom telling dad today that she hopes the days slow down a bit here. This past weekend was a whirlwind and the one grand was here to stay that comes once a month too. Yesterday mom and dad and the grand went to visit a bit with moms sister and her husband but didn’t stay real long. It got windy here today too and wasnt that windy this morning though but was a beautiful day. Its a good thing your dad didnt race with that wind then.
Mom thinks I am going to turn into a couch potato cause I get in my new happy hut during the day sometimes. Its just so comfy its hard to resist. Ohh you say the sweetest things to me and thank you so much for the congrats on BOTD. We sure were surprised and didnt know till almost before we got online to do our blogs.
It has been busy here as well so sure know about that. Gus is sick with a bacterial infection but went to the vets on Monday and got meds and is on the mends now so that is good.
I hope you stopped in at the castle yesterday when I got botd and enjoyed some cake and ice cream with me. If you didn’t get any there is plenty left so just help your self. Mom had made me a new happy hut but didn’t give it to me but when I won botd yesterday she gave it me and its so soft and cuddly and I slept like a baby in it last night! The Only Word I Have For You Is "WOW"! What A....
....wing you have! Your batting has improved a BUNCH, too! Just wanted to let you know your hard work has already been noticed & noted! I thought we'd slip another practice in tomorrow. That's Friday, May 3rd.

I'm going to also be having a BBQ Sunday for all the teams. It will be a nice way to be ALL friends before we buckle down & get all serious in playing baseball. The whirlpool will also be opened for use for anybirdy and also, it might just be a lot of fun to play a game of ball that's just "play". There's swings out there, too, near the BBQ area. Hopefully, it will help remind ourselves this is for "fun" and that we're all friends with each other.

The Scruffy Birds will be there, of course, because that's where they all live!! So, there will be music & dancin' if any birds want to do that instead of a game of baseball! Hahaha!

Yes mom entered my picture in the contest and did your mom enter yours too? Mom says if I win your mom gets the trophy LOL...she did all the work to help it come true if it does. Oh my sweet heart I will be so happy to join you for the derby and we will have so much fun being together. I could have fun with you no matter where we go though. Oh your poor mom with her foot swollen up like that but imagine summer makes it worse too. Glad you dad did so well in the race too. Yes mom hates the preps the most for the crowns but most of her teeth are crowns now. Had a bad dentist as a kid and sure messed up moms teeth and all the kids in the neighborhood too!
Mom usually gets in the walk/run race that is held on the trail every year. It was held yesterday and mom didn’t sign up for it right away cause she hadn’t walked much all winter and then when she did her back hurted so wasn’t sure if it would quit. By the time she thought she might sign up for it, it was too late. Now mom is glad she didn’t with the cold windy day we had here on yesterday and even saw sleet coming down a bit too! Dad helped with it and he came home and was froze and had a winter coat, hooded heavy sweatshirt and two shirts on so mom was happy to stay in the warm house. “Some people have asked mom how she can be friends with someone she has never met. Mom says they have never been on BC she bets and that about sums it up my friend.” Leaving a vote for you loving you is easy I do it all the time ♥ Chi chi.

Hey There, Napoleon! How's Your Saturday Going?
I'm just coming by to let you know, I've been trying to post the Practice Schedule for next week but the crazy BC won't let me put it in the "How we met" section. So, it is "PRACTICE", I thought it was fitting for it to be put under "quirky habits" section. If you go to the Team Page, you'll see it to the right. It's only every other day and I'm giving the weekends off since many birds & parronts do their cleaning and errands on those weekend days. Under each day you will find what we're suppose to practice for the day. All you have to do is go to the Team Page and practice like we're at Kevlar Field. ONLY for practice do we do that. You don't have to be there with all the other team mates at the same time. For some birds that is impossible, so just blog a little bit or two about practice and you're good to go.

You look great and quite handsome with that hat on but again your so darn good looking there is nothing that can take that away!! I love every thing about you so just stay as you are my love.
I love both the pictures your mom did for me of the hats but picked the darker orange for now since it matches my orange face. When I think of you though Napoleon sometimes it turns red LOL.
Glad the medicine is helping your moms potassium levels. Mom platelets are still running low and her CRP are high so just keep getting them checked every 3 months.Mom is glad that is all that is the matter though LOL.
Oh those trees and plants sound so pretty your parronts have planted around the sunporch and house. Bet they smell good too LOL.
Mom has been having a problem with her one tooth. She wasn’t sure what was going on with it but it hurt some and doesn’t feel right. She finally got an appointment to get it checked today and here its cracked on two places so that means another crown has to be done. Mom didn’t look too happy about that when she came home. “Some people have asked mom how she can be friends with someone she has never met. A Bunch of the Silver Sluggers Come Running Up To
....the Proctor Flock's pages!! Helllooo, to the house!! Sam calls out! Napoleon recognizes that squawk and comes running out, "Hi, guys...errrr....& gals!" Napoleon smiling at the large amount of team mates. Sam explains, We're taking in a run to Kevlar Stadium where we're gonna practice some strengthening exercises with throwing & batting! It's our first practice! Afterwards, it's dinner at Olly's Pie Shop, my treat! Napoleon "peeps" with excitement when Miss ChiChi looks out the door. In her little "cheech' voice, she asks, "Can I come? That is to the dinner?" Sam smiles, "OF COURSE, you can!" Napoleon tells her he'll call her when the team is on its way there. All the other birds are on their cell phones dialing their "significant others" to meet them at Olly's Pie Shop! SAM'S TREAT!! Sam gulps, but smiles! He takes a big draw of water as the birds come back smiling, ready to run. Sam, Jetta, Angel, Caden, Cu-Bird, LaLo, Lucky, and now Napoleon begin to run to the next team mate's page!===>>
