Congrats to the Silver Sluggers for a good game yesterday. The Wonder Wings played well, too, but the Sluggers pulled out a win!
Our weather is awful this weekend, today and tomorrow at least. We have frost warnings for last night and tonight, too! So mom's plans for going to the pool are shot. She has a birthday party for a grand niece and grand nephew today, so she will go to the party, even though they will probably forgo the cookout due to the weather. She has to go get some supplies for the dogs at the pet store, too. Other than that, we'll probably be out in the yard, if it's warm enough, watching mom do more gardening. If it's not warm enough for us, she'll be out there by herself. It's her first days off in weeks, so she's really behind in weeding and maintenance work.

Hello Coach Chloe
How the heck am I? I'm good. I really am although if you ask my mom, I'm afraid she'll be honest and tell you that I'm nothing but a pain in the tailfeathers theses days because I won't stop flying to all the places I'm not supposed to be. Every single time the closet doors are pulled open in my room I fly to them and then when the doors need to be shut (which is sometimes only seconds after they've been opened, I'm stubborn about stepping up or flying away making it darn hard to close those doors. To make matters worse, if mom gets busy after opening those doors, I swing down and hop onto one of the shelves. The top shelf is mine but I'm bored with that one. The next two down are filled with all sorts of interesting things like folders with bird records (great for shredding), jars with fake eggs in them, cups with clasps and hooks (wonderful things to toss off onto the floor). I never see a happy expression when I'm found in that part of the closet. I got tossed out the other day with a threat about losing my flight privileges. Awcht! How could she say that! I must've got the message because I didn't fly back to those open doors for at least the next eight minutes. That's a long time for an impatient bird, let me tell you.
So we have the holiday game, do we? And up against the CrackerJack Conures at that. Joy! They'll be a riot to beat. I mean, this will be an enjoyable game! Some pre-game warm up sounds like a good idea. It certainly can't hurt. Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to do.
The pictures of your home and yard are so pretty. What a lovely view you have from your sun porch and what a welcoming site your home is from the curb. You have a very nice place to call Home, Chloe. I know you feel blessed to be a part of the Proctor flock. They're lucky to have you, in my humble Grey opinion. :)

Dad should come to the wildlife center where mom goes, he'd see tons of things he's never seen before, up close and personal! Mom loves feeding the baby birds, but she especially likes jays and robins as fledglings. They flutter so prettily when they want fed fledgling food, and the robins even line up! It's so cute to see.
Congrats to the Quakers for their win yesterday, it was a good game. It's been raining here and this morning it was only 45 degrees when mom walked the dogs! That's quite a contrast with the high 80s it was the other day. I posted a pic of Joe's blue and gold, don't know how he got that special effect, though. Mom loves the pic. Oh, if anyone knows how to get that bird to bathe, we're open, because he's concerned. He's ready to put her and the cage out in the rain! 2 tours today, then off to do an errand or 2. The pool opens tomorrow, but with this weather, mom probably won't even go get the pass yet! I'm so sorry I couldn't hang with you after the game yesterday, but it started to thunder really loud, and mom shut down the computer! I love the pics of your house, and that fountain in front is really nice. You have lilies in bloom already? Ours are up but not blooming.
Today mom herded cats! That's right, 2 kindergarten tours in dinosaur hall, with little ones going off in all directions! The chaperones were doing their best but kids get really excited there. Her third tour was with 5th grade, called Treasures of the Carnegie, which is basically a docent's choice tour, since the whole museum is a treasure trove.
Last night, mom worked an evening event in gems and minerals with a bunch of well to do adults at a wine tasting. It was fun, and right at the end, she ran into the president of the board of Animal Rescue League, the parent organization of the wildlife center. It was good to see him. He showed mom a spectacular picture of his blue and gold macaw. Mom may post it later.
The Pois pulled off a come from behind win yesterday, good for them. I was happy, but Willie, not so much. He really thought the Keets team would win. Both teams did a great job, though.
Hope you are having a good day, it's storming here. The storms started as soon as the game ended yesterday! Mom shut down the computer just in time. What a ball game yesterday! Congratulations to the Phoenix Base Flyers, you pulled off a great win, but the Rainforest Raiders have nothing to be ashamed of. With the way they're playing, they won't lose many games this year.
Mom had 3 tours today, and she says if you have to have 3, this is the way to go: she had different grade levels and different subjects for each tour. We got the fountain up and running last night, too, so it looks pretty outside now, and we'll be able to hear the water when we go outside with mom. Today it's bright and sunny so we might get out, if mom gets our blogs done in time. Our weekend is a mixed bag; mom is doing tours today and tomorrow, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Today the dogs go to the groomer, but when mom drops them off, I think she is planning on taking us all outside! YAY!! It's so pretty here, with all the flowers in bloom. The irises have started to blossom, too. Tonight, mom and her family are celebrating Mother's Day. They always wait to do that, so they aren't in crowded restaurants and being hustled to eat fast. Tomorrow, tours are in the afternoon, so again, we might get outside. I think that's all for this weekend. First off I want to thank you for coming by and celebrating with me on my HatchDay and BOTD! It means so much to have special birdies like you share in the festivities! I had a blast...maybe too much....Mom had a lot of cleaning up to do after the parties and her mind was just not programmed for baseball...I managed to find the bus stop in order to go, but like Cookie, I was reminded that I need to tell her before I take off like that. Maybe I'll staple some PostIt notes to her forehead...no, there's enough there already. She says she'll do better for the next game....in fact, she said she will treat the team to snacks and gatorade on the 5th of June--next game. Your note and vote last evening helped make the BOTD winner today. And what perfect timing while the MLBs were playing their first game, huh? It couldn't have worked out better. I do feel bad though that the game had to have a team that didn't win. That's the bummer part about this sport. The Greys were on it today just as much as the Beaks were. I have to confess I was holding my breath all through that last inning. We were both so close to a win.... it could've gone either way.

Mom walked away from the hawk, then he walked away and she got the old food out of there. A gansus is a very small true bird with a keel bone that's been found in Changma China, and is older than other avian dinos. They haven't found a skull yet, so don't know if it had a beak or teeth, but the rest of the skeleton is bird for sure. You played a good game today, sweetie, it was really close!
It was a close game, but the CJCs lost. Congratulations to the Wonder Wings, though, they played a good game. Mom just got home from her 2 tours today, and she is finishing our blogs before she goes outside to finish the planting. Maybe we'll get to go out with her a little later. It's a beautiful sunny day here, with temps in the high 70s or maybe low 80s. Chet, 249961, is having his very first hatchday today, let's go tell him to have a happy one! ...I am so pumped and ready to go! We don't have much time for votes and notes today, dad has his routine bi-annual complete physical today at the VA Clinic! No need for concern, he is doing pretty good, but they have to monitor his blood content and EKG readings, and lung capacity, and blood sugars! Art and Ziggy will be dropped off at their team dugouts, and all the rest of us will wait for the game in the stands! So it's an adoption day you were celebrating. Neat. There's a few of those here since actual hatchdates aren't known. Mine happens to be because it's branded on my ankle bracelet. That silly piece of metal has, on more than one occasion, given me away while on a sneak-off mission. Click - click- click... it makes the most dreadfully loud noise on the kitchen counter or the tile floor!
Your pep-talk for tomorrow's game was a good one. I like the idea of being reminded that we're in this for the fun of playing alongside friends against friends on another team and no matter the winner and loser, it's meant to be a greyt time. ...I will have to come to the game early tomorrow, daddy won't beat the game but I will, and so will LaLo! Don't ya just love this time of year, it holds the hope of life rejuvenating itself, and everything smell so clean and fresh, and new birth and fresh growth is all round us! I'm so glad you like the flowers. Your mom's nails sound greyt, I think I'd like them. We are so used to seeing mom with weird colors, nothing freaks us out about her hands any more.
It was cold here for 2 days, with frost warnings at night, but today it's 82 degrees! Mom is hoping to plant those things she got last Friday, at last! I want to go to the game though, there are 2 good teams playing today.
This morning mom did a repeat of Monday, complete with raccoons painting themselves and their cages with food. The red tailed hawk stood between mom and its meal leftovers this morning, which she has never seen in all her years there. At noon she went to the museum to hear an assistant curator of vertebrate paleontology, Matt LaManna, talk about early birds from the Cretaceous, and learned a whole lot about our origins. It seems modern bird lines arose in Antarctica! It makes sense, the birds there were already used to harsh conditions and extended periods of dark. Anyway, it was a pretty cool lecture, and the docents might get a cast out of it! Mom asked Matt if they could have a cast of gansus for the dinosaur hall, and he said send him an email and he'd get one made!

To pick up your order, do the following:
Go to The Pretty Rose Flower Shop, Page 188440 and scroll down to the picture gallery. You will see your order reciept, followed by your order. Your order may be on more than one page. Be sure to check all pages in the picture gallery.
To get your order, do the following:
1. Click on the image to open to full size.
2. Right click on the image to bring up the sub menu.
3. Click on "Save Picture As" and choose a location to save the image.
OR,
4. Simply copy the image and paste the image where ever you wish.
Do the same for all images.
Images will remain posted for one week. At that time, your order will be moved to a file folder. If you wish to reorder the same item, just let us know and we will repost it.
