Its been like 85 over here but its cool cause we have the trade winds to keep us cool.
Right now there's a storm headed our way. One is Daniel and the other is Amelia. The weather guys thinks Amelia might be worse than Daniel so we gotta keep watching the weather guy to see what is happening.

Hi Guys,
Well, I had a sinus infection when my new mom took me to the vet and the vet said my sinus infection was never treated and it just got worse. I didn't months of neglect, he said it took years to do this kind of damage. :(
Thank God for my new mommy. She said i'll be the million dollar bird by the time i'm all well. What ever that means.

Yeah I really don't like being sick, it doesn't feel very good. I wish I could just be healthy already. I know mom's been praying ever since she got me. She prays that I will be a healthy birdie one day and no more shots or drops or medicine.

Hi Guys,
My vet visit went well, he said my blood work is okay except for my kidney numbers. He said he is concerned so he wants me to come back next month to do blood work and see if it changes or not.
So I hafta stick to my diet of that rice thing and nothing else. :(
Well, i'm still plucking and mom can't figure out why except that it has something to do with my bad past place where I came from. :(
She also thought I was afraid of the dark too cause when I slept in her room on my perch I was squawking and then she tried to put me on her bed so i'd be more comfy but instead I attacked and bit the heck outta her like I was fighting for my life and that some hand was gonna get me.
Mom was soo upset, not at me for biting her but for what my past has done to me. She never blames me when I do that, she's a very forgiving and loving mom. :)
She got me a new blankeee but I don't use it, not yet.

Hey guys, boy this was a surprise. Mom didn’t check the mail till later this morning and found out I was birdie of the day, how cool is that? :)
Here’s a vote for you guys. Hope you all have a nice Easter weekend!
I am on 6 different medications now.
1 Ciprofloxacin, 2, Hydroxyzine , 3, BeneBac Gel 2-3 days, 4, Gentamycin 1-2x/day 5, Soother Plus ointment 1x/day and 6, Metronidazole 2x/day. Boy that sure is a lot of medicine.

Hi Guys,
Can you believe we had hail over here in Hawaii? Yup up to 4 inches in length and 2 inches wide. And we even had a water spout that turned into a tornado that ripped off some roofs and a solar panel. :( Not very good weather.

Thanks for your vote--here's mine for you. I like this page because I was a much loved boy until DAD got sick and went away. He never came back for me. Mom put me into a small cage and left me in the dark corner. I never got our for 2 years. Finaally she decided to sell me. The next home had a big house and toys but when I bit my next Mom she was afraid so I stayed in my house. Atleast I was in the front room again. I met my forever MOMMA and she took me home. She got my big house all set up and put tons of toys in it. I get out all the time. Even when I bit her aggressively, Momma kept me and now, I can trust again.
Stop in for a visit any time guys.

Hi Guys!
My dear friends,
I would like to take this moment to thank you for all the well wishes and many many prayers for me to get well and healthy again. I really appreciate all the love and support you all have given me and my mom.
I don’t think I would have come this far had it not been for everybirdie and their parronts love and support keeping me going strong and to fight this bacteria.
I am so thankful that I have a forever home, a great mommy and daddy and frother Pookie.
I am also thankful for all the new friends I have made since being on the BC from the beginning of this year.
I guess you could say I’ve come a long way baby, huh? :)
A girly bird couldn’t ask for more than all of that. :)
I would like to wish everybirdie and their parronts a very Happy Thanksgiving and may you all be happy and your belly nice and full and smiles on your face from this day on and forever more.
Mom was listening to the radio and heard this song that was playing when she was taking me to the past vet visit.

Hi Guys,
Mom started me on the shots this morning. I'm getting CEFTAZIDIME INJECTABLE .15 ML Intramuscularly three times daily. It didn't hurt as much cause mom was talking to me all the time before during and after my shot.
Before that I was on CIPROFLOX Oral Susp. 0.10 cc by mouth twice daily.
Mom will be taking me to Doctor Ako in Kahala next Saturday November 5th as a second opinion.
I hear he is very direct and straight forward, so mom is preparing herself for what he will say.
Wish us luck. :)
Mom says I seem weak and tired, but at least I am eating so that is good. :)
Mom said it was so hard for her to give me the shot this morning. She keeps talking to me before and after she gives me the shot to reassure me that this is going to help heal my boo boos.
It's okay I understands, and I know mom wouldn't hurt me on purpose so I hope this medicine helps heal me fast.
Mom will keep you all posted as things progress with me.

I have a feeling we're gonna need um, more now than ever.

Hi Guys,
Its not good news. The vet said that both of my tests came back with Pseudomonas.
There are many causes of respiratory problems in birds, but one of the most stubborn and elusive culprits is Pseudomonas.
So, I will have to take 3 shots a day for a week with this medicine called Fortazadine? Or something like that.
The vet also said looking at my chart from the first time I came in, it looks like this will be a chronic infection with me. It is not from dirty water or anything like that because mom washes my bowls every night in hot and soapy water sanitizing everything.
It was caused by my previous owner, of whom we wish not discuss right now for many of you will have evil thoughts as I am having one too.
So, I will have to take 3 shots a day starting either tonight or tomorrow.
Many many thanks for all the well wishes and prayers for my me, I really appreciate them. :)
This is very heart breaking for my mommy and me, so I must go now and try not to think about this till it starts. :(

Hi guys!
That nasty bacteria thing is back in my body again. :(
Mom thinks it really never completely went away. :(
Well, I went to the vet yesterday and they took a couple of cultures and they hafta send it to the mainland so we hafta wait like maybe 10 days or more. It didn't hurt but I didn't like being held while the doctor was trying to swab my boo boos. :(
They test what kind of bacteria I have and then they
try to figure out what antibiotic will work for me. So, now we're waiting even more and it’s killing mom.
:( She's hanging in there tho. :)

I thank you for all the prayers and continued prayers till we know what is inside me that is making me sick. :0

Today Mommy is going to clean our cages, which means since grandma is at work, I have to sit with grandpaD: Well, look at the bright side, I can bite him! LOL!

HI Guys
Hi! How is everybirdie? Boy, its been busy here at the Castle. Navi and I have tried to get on, but the disco room needed some help with putting up the lights and stuff.......Finally!!! The disco room is..FINISHED! and its all ready to party. I was hoping to fill everybirdie in everyday this month, but its been a little crazy. ~Its about 105* F here at the Castle, and it has been all this month. Who knows what it is like in the winter. I should ask the butler. He is my best best friend here at the Castle...even though everyone aboard BC is a like more the the 2 words "best" put together. Wait..Wait..did I say aboard??? I have been saying that quite a lot. Since Navi and I went to the party last night for a short bit, we saw all the great pirates birds. How great they looked. Also, on Friday, Navi and I went canoing yesterday. What fun. Then, on Saturday (yesterday) Navi and I went to the carnival. We had so much fun on the rides, it was crazy. ~Today I thought I would share a friendship quote with you guys. Since friendship is what I dear the most. I hope that I don't use the same ones that I used when I was on my campaign. LOL! I hope that you all are well. I will be sure to see you tomorrow for more Castle fun!
