 I will really miss my 1st daddy, Terry in CA, but he had to move to Stockholm this year and needed to make sure I was adopted by a great new mommy & daddy .. My new mommy wanted me so bad and promised to treat me like a princess, so I chirped it over with daddy Terry and we said 'OK' let's do it! So as of 4/8/11, I moved to FL and now have a new life with a new family. I miss my daddy Terry, but he shouldn't worry cause mommy will love me and care for me always! Plus, daddy Terry can come visit anytime when he travels to St Pete to visit his brother on vacation!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!. |

Hi BiBi and Flock
Punkin here to ask if you guys would support me on my quest to be BOTM. I'm a little finch and I would LOVE to make it to the castle. You are so beautiful...mom doesn't think she could care for such lovely birds. As beautiful as you are she's a little worried about that beak. hehehe She'll pick up a macaw or Too but she's scared of YOUR beaks? hahaha
I'm sharing all this month flowers we birds CAN EAT.
Here's todays flowers:
English Daisy (Bellis perennis) - The flowers have a mildly bitter taste and are most commonly used for their looks than their flavor. The petals are used as a garnish and in salads.
Gladiolus (Gladiolus spp) - Flowers (anthers removed) have a nondescript flavor (taste vaguely like lettuce) but make lovely receptacles for sweet or savory spreads or mousses. Toss individual petals in salads. It can also be cooked like a day lily.
For all you I didn't get to tell yesterday....Bird is doing real good. She's got about 80% use of her right foot as well now. We are so excited about that because she's soon going to be able to go to her new home!!
We had a great day with mom yesterday and get to again today because we're getting some snow flurries today. BiBi will be so happy in Port Charlotte!
Adrienne, I'm so happy that miss Beebs will be coming to bunk with you tomorrow evening. She will probably arrive a bit shocked, but I know that she will settle in with time.
BiBi will love you to rub her neck, toes and under her wings. She will be so happy if she gets to snuggle under your shirt, too!
I'll send you an update after Beebs is safely delivered to Delta tomorrow at 4:30 AM PT on gets on her Atlanta flight at 6:00 AM. I will be sad, of course, but also happy to know that she will bring you happiness as she did me.
