 The story of what has brought Willow & I together is very special! I've previously owned many different species of birds, but over 10 years I haven't owned any. I then purchased my dream bird, a Catalina Macaw. I worked with him for 1 year, but his loud squawk badly frightened my daughter with autism, sending her into meltdowns. My step-mom, whom is a bird breeder, owning over 40 birds, of many different species, purchased him from me. It was a difficult decision that left me heartbroken. On March 26, 2011 my parents came to pick him up, & my step-mom saw the sadness in my eyes. She told me I could travel to their house & pick out one of her Parrotlet babies as a gift! I followed them home that very day & was truly amazed at those 6 precious tiny parrots! I fell in love with Willow the minute I saw him, & knew he was the one!! I never shed one tear for losing my big parrot from that minute on! My children chuckled that I went from the largest parrot to one of the smallest! Since that day Willow has brought me joy beyond what my larger bird did! I have enjoyed him because my autistic daughter loves him & how he sings! My health conditions are very serious, along with 2 of my children. This tiny bird has made me smile & forget so much of what we go through, because of his comical nature & sweet personality! Willow has even connected to my daughter with autism & is so intelligent understanding her! This is a start of an awesome relationship between Willow & the 5 of us! Who would ever think such laughter & happiness could come from such a small tiny Parrotlet!!!. |

Hi Willow
I fall into what they refer to as the Mini Macaws. I am the larges of the mini's, but what I lack in size, I make up for in other ways. I have a super personalty, and love people, especially when they spoil me and make me the center of attention. I think everyone should have a Mini me.....
