It's Kelly (the CAG), with a rare chance to fly around and visit as many friends as I possibly can before mom tells me I absolutely have to go to bed. How ARE you these days? I hope all is well with you and your family. Life is good here. Spring has sprung and I'm able to enjoy more and more time outside in my aviary. Today I even got to hang out with mom while she planted flowers. I sat in my travel cage and watched her crawl around in the dirt! Silly human.

I've missed you so much! What's new in your flock? Nothing new here. Silly mom's been spending WAY too much time on Avian Avenue (her new bird forum) and not enough time on Bird Channel! But I'll make sure to keep her on here more often.
I forgot to thank you SO much for helping me become bird of the month and supporting me as king. I am so honored that I got to be BC's king for a month. It was such an amazing experience! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. You are an amazing friend!

Sky's thought of the day
I feel very blessed and thankful today that so many birdies have visited this page. I do hope that others will come by and share with us their past lives, the rescues and their new loving forever homes. It is so important to get the word out about bird abuse. Too few actually know it takes place.
Bird Rescues are over run with UNWANTED birds. Birds that for no fault of their own ended up abused, starved, neglected and disposable. My Momma as a breeder has met a large population of would-be bird owners. She always starts off telling all the bad; the noise, the mess, the bites that may come. Many have changed their minds on owning a bird, or have selected a different species more suitable for their family.
Rescues, and Sanctuaries need our support. The costs of caring for unwanted and often sick birds is high. We all, everyone of us can help out in some way. Just take a few moments to think of how you could help and share with us your ideas.

Hi Alohi~ I will be keeping your grandma is my prayers. What had happened? Hope all is well ♥Here is a vote for you. Long story, please don't even ask. All I, or we, have to say is sorry; its been hectic over here. We have had many people in this house hold that have been really sick, and mom has been getting caught up with school since we were on last, because of sickness and activities. We are back now, and hope to be. How have YOU been? Really hoping it has been well. Would love to hear about what you have been up too, Em and I have missed you since the last time we have been on. How has the weather been? It snowed here on this week, but it didn't look like it would stick because it was also raining...until THURSDAY! No rain, just white things that covered the ground so beautifully! But, it is all gone today. It was sunny today, so that was nice to finally get some sunlight into my cage. Loving spring, at least I think this is spring weather...I hope that you had a very nice nice day. We both have missed you so much, hope to get more pictures and a video up very soon, mom's camera is broken, so she is using her daddy's camera. Anyways, have a nice night!! It's Kelly, come by for a little visit. How are you these days? And how is your Grandma? I'm not sure what exactly is happening for her but I do hope there's improvement and encouraging news.
With the final days of winter fading away, we have spring and summer days to look forward to. Those first few days when the windows of my room can be opened and some fresh air let in are wonderful And dusty! Wheee, the dust! No matter how often the tile floor in my room is swept and mopped, there's just no getting around the fact a grey bird makes lots of dust! It's not all my fault though; I live with another grey and several other large birds. Surely they contribute SOME of the dirt around here.
I do hope you are well and happy.

King Pepper's Acceptance Speech!
Feathered friends, well-wishers & loyal voters, I thank you!
I took this long-awaited opportunity to impress upon my staff the necessity of allowing me free access to the peanut bag. Would they dare deny a king?
I also rung in my reign on my special bell, not only because I am the only one who can do it properly but because no one had better touch it or else!
I continued to do so vigorously throughout the day just in case those in my domain should forget the occasion or have the presumption to pay attention to anything else!
While I should have liked to use my exalted position to further my designs upon that other bird's (Poirot) possessions & territory, so far my attempts have a flop (literally) I will have to wait till my wings are able to further my purpose. Next time he'd better watch out...

Thanks for the vote(s). Sorry it’s been a while. First mom had a cold and then she had to go to the doctor for her joints. She found out she has enthesitis, an inflammation in the enthesis. It’s not serious, the doctor said it will probably go away eventually and shouldn’t cause any problems.
Mom’s chewing gum right now and I’m desperately trying to steal it out of her mouth. I’ve never had gum before and it looks so fun and sticky! She won’t give it to me so now I’m standing in front of her face imitating what she looks and sounds like. Mom’s laughing at me now. Hehe, humans look ridiculous when they chew gum!
Curious got DNA sexed and the results got back today. Curious is a...drum roll please...BOY! :D

Man, I missed my own BOTD! Mom was at a show and skin sis wouldn't get me on the computer! Well at least I got a lot of well wishes from my friends here! Mom has another show next weekend. Her vent is draggin'. I think they should have stayed out on the road for these few in between days and she could've rested in between. Now its rush, rush, rush. Mom discovered that Tico loves showers! She took him in the bathroom with her the other day and he spread out his wings, fluffed up really big, and started flapping and bobbing his head! Mom said it looks a lot like when I do it, only with a much bigger bird. He only did it once and hasn’t wanted one since. Maybe in a couple days he’ll decide to take another one. I take showers every chance I get!
Mom found out that I am a hybrid! She was reading about mitred conures and read that they have very little, if any, red on their shoulders and under their wings. I have plenty of red so mom did more research and found out that I am a mix between a mitred and a cherry head! Mom’s dad called me a “mutt”. I prefer the term “hybrid”.

Now you will see that our bachelors range from young males looking to meet that special somebirdy to gentlebirds in a serious but yet unofficial relationship hoping their ladies will not embarrass them. I will guarantee every single one of them is a fine example of male parrothood. (I have heard that RaneBeau is the most eligible bachelor on BC, and I don't doubt it for a minute!) The bidding will begin at 8:30 EST, and the funds raised will go to the maintenence and upkeep of all the rescue animals at the castle such as George the Tiger, the racing pigs and the derby horses. So it is all in a good cause, and I expect you ladies to get out your check books (cash and credit cards accepted as well.) Once that fun is completed and our bachelors are all paired off, what have the ladies won? The company and service of the young man they have bid on. This means he will do whatever they desire for the evening, whether it is to fetch food or drink, or to dance the night away. (Smooching is to be negotiated by the couple and not included automatically in the package.)
Once we have all our couples ready to party, the dancing will begin to the fine melodies of our very own Sam and the Scruffy Birds Band. They have added some new musicians and singers, so I know they will sound even better than before, as hard as that is to imagine.
And of course the buffet that Lizzie has planned will be a gourmet feast as usual. And she plans a romantic theme for the evening. (I am guessing there will be a lot of pink food.)
So how else would anybirdy want to celebrate the month of love than by coming to the February Valentine Milonga? I just can't imagine anything more romantic, and I am an old married man!!

How's your day going? It was fun yesterday but today life is quieter once more. I met some very nice birdies. I got a double treat of Mac & Cheese. Momma says it's not good for me, but I love it.

HI ALOHI. MOM IS DOING THE BEST SHE CAN WITH THE PAIN AND NUMBNESS IN HER ARM. MAKES IT HARD TO TYPE. TODAY ITS NOT DOING TOO GOOD. MOM HAD TO COOK A BIG DINNER FOR FAMILY TODAY. SO THE ARM IS AGGRAVATED.
SORRY THAT YOUR MOM IS STILL NOT FEELING WELL. THERE ARE COUGH PILLS CALLED TESSLON PEARLS THAT ARE A MIRACLE IN STOPPING COUGHS. HAS SHE TRIED THOSE? YOU GET THEM FROM DR.
HOPE SHE GETS BETTER SOON. KEEPING HER IN OUR PRAYERS.

I'm sorry your Mom is sick too. Sounds like my Mom. She has had asthma most of her life. Almost got pneumonia again. But her cough isn't a dry one. I think cough syrup helps dry only. I hope both our Mom s get well soon.
We didn't get any more snow today but still cold.
Oh wow ... you are getting a boyfriend? Have you even met him yet?
I can't believe that you have been here a year already ... time flies.

It's Me, the RaneDude. Thanks for the hatchday song. You're one beautiful little singer, you are! I can tell it's not you with the cough like your poor mom's got. Your voice was all crystal clear and pretty! Moms with sore throats sometimes sound like seals or gulls.... scary terrible!!
And about the apologies on bein' late with the greetings; not necessary. Not in the least. If it was six months later and you stopped by t'say "Have a wonderful day", it'd be perfect timing. A visit from you any time, any ol' day is wonderful.

Thanks for the vote. I let Jesse vote for you today. It's his big day in the spot light. The cat upset him and he was screaming like a mad man at him. Sometimes Jesse goes back to his angry beginnings and yells, and swears. He's doing much better though and is usually very nice now. The cat is a pest anyways. I throw toys at him every chance I get.

Well, it snowed, AGAIN. What is with this white stuff anyways? I get to have my toy back. Momma taped it with Duct tape and said, here try again. Not so easy that tape. Sticks to my feathers. Well, she wrecked that toy.
My Momma is painting a portrait of me. She thinks I can just sit there for hours in one spot so she can look at my feathers? What we birds don't put up with.
How's your day going so far?
Momma says get flying she has baby birds to feed. I will fly over later. I left my Sunday vote for you.

You're right. Water is totally for drinking and food dunking only. The toy I got is the one you had. I tried it. It was confusing at first but I love peanuts and I wanted the peanut so I kept trying. YEAH, finally the reward. I think that I will try to rebuild it for easier use. Try yours. You're going to love it.
