Hello Hattie~
I hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm doing just fine even tho I wasn't picked up from my night cage until mom got back from the market. She went early but the pharmacy doesn't open until 9am so she had to time it so when she was done getting food, she could stop by and pick up dad's meds!
Mom has been wearing the brace for one day now and it's totally pitiful! (She got carpal tunnel syndrome) She wasn't the most graceful person to start with but this brace is just making it all the more obvious! Her mom use to call her "Amazing Grace" and Grace is not her middle name!hehehehehehehe
Typing is a whole new adventure and I won't get near it so she has to take it off before she gets me out of the cage. She doesn't really notice any difference yet but it's only been one day and she has had to take it off to do dishes and to play with me! She'll get use to it eventually but I don't know if I will!

I hope you are enjoying your day!
Mom has been cleaning the oven this morning so we haven't started any cooking yet. She sorta burned a pizza last night and had to get it all cleaned up! It was very sad to see that lovely cheese pizza burned but the other, larger pizza made it so I still got some crust. Mom didn't know if you put one on the bottom shelf of the oven, that the paper pan they come on would burn! It was really stinky and I had to be quickly removed from the room but I made it back out there in time for some pizza crust! I suppose that is the most important part!
Today is the 5th anniversary of me, Mandy, George and Gracie coming to live with mom!! It' a special day for all of us!! We are so very happy here and mom says she can't imagine what life was like before we all showed up! I'm hoping for a cranberry ornage scone to celebrate! I got the corn bread already but a scone would be just lovely!!
Congratulations on the new additions to you flock! It must be so much fun with all the new babies around. It will be exciting to see what color the new guy turns out to be!

I hope you are having a wonderful day. I've got the gardeners here to watch. They are outside my window mowing the lawns! Pretty soon Mandy will be woofing to go out just because she likes to smell the fresh cut grass! Mom takes her for a walk everyday and Mandy has decided she likes to walk down to the Starbucks. Do you suppose it's the scones they sell? I always share my scones with her so maybe she figured she just go down there and get us some! I like the way she thinks!!

Mom already went to the market before I even got up! The store is open 24 hours a day. It's less crowded early in the mornings but mom has to put up with freight on the floor and the floor scrubber being used. Since she works nights at a store, she is use to that stuff.
She got me some pecans so I'm looking forward to my snack! I'll be having apples and pecans today! Yum!

I'll be supervising the chores later on and letting mom know how she should do stuff! We all know our parronts would be lost without us!!

I am so very sorry to hear about Tipp. It just breaks my heart that your family has to go thur this! Mom's brother had a lab that had seizures too and he didn't make it past his 3rd birthday. It's very sad but I guess all creatures can get stuff just like humans. Please know that you are all in our prayers. It is going to be a long time before it feels normal at your house and I hope that knowing we are praying for you gives you some comfort!
Please don't ever worry about blogging. We totally understand how busy life can get.
Nothing much going on around here today. I am in the living room because they are going to spray for ants outside today. The ants have been all over the place but the lady who lives downstairs from us has them very badly. We've only had few in the bathroom and kitchen. I don't mind hanging out in the living room since mom will stay out here with me!

I hope your day is going great! I have to apologize for not getting around as much as I should. Things got a bit busy and unfortunately, my social time is suffering!
Who knew humans could have so much stuff that needs going thru!!!
Dad took over the storage room so now there is lots of stuff that needs to be put somewhere else or tossed. The whole process is taking much longer than we thought it would. I have suggested that we only keep my toys and anything we need to use for food and toss everything else! Nope! None of that stuff was in the storage room but I think it would be a good thing for all of us to downsize! Toys and food are the most important things so we definately need to keep that stuff! I suppose the dog, the cat and the turtles can stay too!
I'm enjoying my apple right now and enjoying the view from the window. Yes! I have sunshine! It is going to be lovely for the next few days. The way it works up here is that the weekdays are lovely and when the weekend gets here the rain will come back! It's sorta like mother nature likes to tease us!

I do hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm doing just fine. Not much going on around here today. Dad has been cleaning out the storage room to make it into a workshop so mom and I have lots of stuff to find a place for. Mom says some of it can just be sent off to goodwill but it will be interesting to see where she is going to put the rest of it! Mom says that if we haven't used it for a while, it is really time to get rid of it. You can tell that mom doesn't like clutter!
I'm going to hang out in the play cage and supervise the job! I'm very good at supervising and I like to shout out lots of suggestions too!!

I hope your day is going great! It's pretty quiet around here. Mom and I are watching the last Harry Potter movie! It's very exciting but very sad too!
It's still cool and rainy here. It got warm for a few days and then went back to being cold again. That is why we had the avalanches up in the mountains. They do avalanche control all the time up there but they had no warning for these avalanches. At least it's closed down now so everyone will be safe.
Mom cleaned my cage out before I even got up this morning! I think that was pretty sneaky of her!! It does look very nice and I have a new toy so I guess it's time to mess it up again! You know we like our cages just so!!

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Kinda slow news day around here. Mom is doing laundry and I am eating apples! I don't mind it being quiet as long as I get to hang out with mom.
Mom got me a bunch of new books from the library so I have been enjoying them. Mom didn't find anything to read but she didn't have a lot of time to hang out there. She'd spend hours there if she could! It's always such a peaceful place.
Mom figured out how to capture pictures from video and other pages where you don't have the save option. She was able to save my avatar in my picture file! Now she is going nuts looking for videos. I'm sure most of the world already knows how to do this but it's a big thing for mom!

I've been helping out with spring cleaning and it's been loads of fun! You would not believe all the junk we have found stashed in drawers around here! I hvae not yet found something I want to play with but I have hopes that the closets will hold more treasures! Mom just wants to get rid of all the junk around here!hehehehehehe That's not gonna happen!! Dad and the kids are real pack rats!!
It was sunny here for a while today but we still had to put the fireplace on to warm my tail feathers up! I won't complain since it is usually rain non-stop this time of year!!

Stopping by to wish you a very Happy St. Patrick's day! Don't you just love holidays that have special food? I sure do. There is a lovely loaf of soda bread out there and I can't wait to get my beak in it!!!
We got another cold front moving thru today but not really that cold. The daffodils are blooming and there are buds on the trees so I know Spring is very close.
There are all those frogs too! Every night they are out there making all kinds of noise!! I guess they don't realize that I am trying to get my beauty sleep!! Dad says I better get use to it because they will probably be out there for a few months. Bummer!!!

I hope your day is going great! Sorry for a c/p today but it's the only way I'm going to get around to all my friends today!
Dad is doing a back-up on the computer right now so it's running very slowly! He really should not have done this when it's my turn to use the puter!
We heard a cool story on the news today about our county library. They wanted to do a food drive for the county food banks. Even tho they say the economy is doing better the amount of people who are using the food banks out here has gone up nearly 40%. Most of those are seniors.
The librarians wanted to do a food drive which is not unusual but to make it more interesting they are writing off fines for food! Every 3 items of food will give you
$10 fine credits! They have had lines down the street at some libraries! One guy had fines from 2006! Boy! That is a really long time!!
I guess books are not the only reason to love a library!

I wasn't sure I was going to get to anybirds page today! The BC is having issues! I feel awful for Elvis but his has happened before and I know it will all be fixed very soon. I was a little worried when all I got was the squawk-a-tiel page this morning!
Nothing exciting going on around here but I am having a nice day. I am helping with laundry this morning since mom has to work tonight. She was off last night, works tonigh and then gets Friday night off. The store she works at is having a big sale this weekend and next. I don't really notice much difference since mom works nights and I'm sleeping.

Hi ya Hattie~
How are you??? I'm doing just fine. I have not been getting too many blog done lately just because it's been crazy busy around the house.
They were going to do an inspection of the apartment so mom had to finally finish all the projects she started and never finished!! We did lots of stuff around the house and it looks really good! The corporation who own the place is refinancing so that is why they were doing the inspection. Well, no one showed up!! All that work and no inspection. The only place we saw anyone checking out was the executive apartment over the office building. Oh well! It all had to be done anyway.
Today they were coming over to strap the water heater to the wall. It is in the storage room off the balcony. Mom and dad had cleaned that out last month to get rid of junk so it was easy to empty it for them. I was waiting for the guy to come to the door this morning when he put a ladder up to the balcony and came up that way!!! How strange! We would have been happy to let him in the door! It's all done now so mom has to put the stuff back in there now.
It's our weekend now and since the cleaning is all done we can do whatever we want! I'll be watching the Puppy Bowl on Sunday. We have a Puppy Bowl party every year. If the Seahawks had made it to the Super Bowl, we'd be watching that too but since they didn't I'll just enjoy the Puppy Bowl!!

How are you? I hope you are enjoying your day! I'm doing just fine! I am a bit tired of this cold and dreary weather. I think everybird who is living outside of Florida feels the same way!!
I have created my own spring garden so when it gets too dreary around here I can sit and look at my flowers! I thought it was a good idea!! I know it's just pictures but they make me happy to look at! Mom said maybe we should just close the curtains and have a picnic with summer foods! Sounds like a great idea to me!
Today I'm helping mom clean up the kitchen. It's not really exciting but I don't care cause I get to spend time with mom.

Not much going on around here. I got to play with mom most of the afternoon. Merlin``the cat``decided to get near my play cage again and boy did I get mad. Mom put him on the sofa with a throw and took me out to play. I soon forgot that furball and had a fun time with mom.
When she went to the market, I stayed home with dad and watched Ice Age! I laughed and laughed! What a funny movie! I love that sloth guy!

I hope today was a good one!! We are so very sorry to hear that you mom has to deal with sciatica! Mom was down for a long time when brother was little with it! It hurts a whole bunch!! We hope she is feeling much better now. It's an awful way to spend Christmas!
We have only had rain too. Very thankful for that. THere has been some snow out near the coast but even that hasn't been bad. Most of the really heavy stuff is in the mountains and that makes the ski resorts very happy!
I've been supervising more cleaning today. Mom always does this at the beginning of the year.
Tell Sunni congrats on the new cage! I bet the doves are loving the old one!
Tell your mom to take it easy and take good care of herself! Lots of the parronts around here take breaks from the BC and that is just fine. Some days are just too busy to get too many notes done!!

Christmas was very nice. We spent a quiet day at home. I helped mom clean out the bedroom closet. We still have more to do so we will get that done today! Mom has books piled all over the place so we have to find a place for them. We will be putting the Christmas stuff away too. We always do a post-Christmas clean up. Sorta like Spring cleaning only in December!
Skin sister is having a good time down in Florida. We talked to her last night. Her step brother, who is a Marine, is on leave and got to come for Christmas dinner. She was very happy to see him.

I got snow outside my window!! It's fabulous since mom doesn't have to go out in it! It will all be gone by tomrrow, but since it just happened to show up on mom's off days, we are viewing it as a Christmas gift from heaven!
Mom always laughs because when she was little she prayed and prayed for snow so she could get her sled out! Now she prays it only happens on days where she doesn't have to drive in it! She's not afraid of driving in snow but our Envoy just does not stay on the road at all. It's not 4 wheel drive! That wasn't very good planning on mom's part! She misses her Intrigue because it is just great in the snow! Her sister has been using it for a few years now and mom doesn't have much hope of ever getting it back.
My Computer is up and running and doing just fine. It turns out that we had everything we needed to install the new power source. We replaced the surge protector too since we weren't sure if it wasn't working.
I hope you are enjoying the day and that everything is great! I'm going to help make cookies and cook some other stuff today too. I am hoping there are oatmeal cookies since I love them!!

Mom cleaned out the play cage this morning and threw out my lovely pile of wood I had put behind my cage! I worked really hard on that pile and it was just lovely! Mom said I have lots of new toys that need my attention and I can make a new pile! I suppose she is right but I'll never let her know that!!hahahahahahaha

I hope the day was just great! I had lots of fun just hangning out with mom. We cleaned out the pantry and I got to see all the stuff that is in there. I've got plenty of nuts stashed away in there but we are down to 2 packs of corn bread so I think we had better get some more. I just don't want to run short ya know!
We are doing some cooking tonight since mom is off. She made some kind of glazed chicken and I think she's going to do chilli in the crockpot so if she does that, she'll make some corn bread to go with it! YAY!
We have a few more cleaing project to get done tonight and then it will be story time! After that I'll be off to the night cage to get my beauty sleep!hahahahahaha

I hope you are all well and happy!!
The football milonga is next Saturday! I put it on the calendar page that it was today! I think mom is a week ahead thinking about all the Thanksgiving stuff! Not good!
We are not doing a lot of cooking around here this morning like usual. Mom only works tonight and tomorrow night and then she's off for 2 nights. With the turkey in the fridge there really isn't much room for anything else! We cooked turkey and veggies for Mandy and then mom got lots of sandwiches and soup for the family to eat tonight. We will start the Thanksgiving cooking on Tuesday. I know the corn bread will be first! Mom got some squash too so I'm going to be one happy zon.

I hope all is well with you!
Mom has tonight off instead of Thrusday. Her store is doing lots and lots of ads so she and the lady she works with are taking turns working on Thursday nights to set the ad for the Friday and Saturday sales.
We saw where the people in a small town in New Hampshire are getting ready to be the first to vote. I hate to tell them this but mom, brother and voted 2 weeks ago! Our entire county is mail-in votes! I'm gonna miss all that junk mail that I get to rip up but the commercials were really boring and I won't miss them! I have the urge to sign all my blogs as approved by Sugar!hahahahahahaha
It's suppose to get cooler by the weekend but I got my heavy cage cover out, so I'm ready! I have been dealing with the time change pretty well but Merlin and Mandy are having a hard time waiting to eat. Mom says we will all get use to it very soon.

I hope you guys are okay. We talked to Aunt Theresa this morning~~she lives in VA~~and it's very wet and very windy. We started watching the weather channel a few hours ago and it's just amazing to watch. We sure are saying lots of prayers for everyone and everybird out there!
I hope mom's doctor can give her a good answer for the itching! That must be awful! I hope he can recomend an ointment that will help. We are saying prayers for her too!
My Dia de Los Muertos celebration will be on Thursday and I hope you will stop by. I really like the idea of having a special day just for our Angel Friends!

I wanted to stop by to let you know we are keeping all of you in our prayers! We hope they are not correct about the size of the storm! We want you all to stay safe!! It is a good thing that most places are taking it seriously and preparing!

I hope you are having a great day! It's sunny, then cloudy, then sunny~~it just can't make up it's mind! Mom just turned the light on and we are going to leave it on. She getting tired of turning it on and off!
How is your mom feeling? I hope she is much better. Now that she has had it is she protected against it? It's scary how one illness can cause another one!
I'm doing a fundraiser on Friday. I'm going to donate a dollar for each vote that Chaka gets. I am really hoping it will be a huge success!!

We are so very glad that the prayers are helping! We really wish the meds mom has were helping her too! That is just awful! There is no reason the doctor should leave her in pain so I hope he or she has a solution to make your mom feel better right now!

We are so glad to hear that mom is doing somewhat better. We understand that the nerve pain is just awful. We are glad she had something to help her sleep. No sleep would just make it that much worse!!
The rain came back here so it seem more like autumn now. I can't believe everyone is so happy to have the rain back! I guess when you get use to something it seems strange not to have it.
I've been playing on mom all morning and now I'm in the play cage having my apples. We are getting laundry done and some cooking too. Mom goes back to work tonight so we like to get as much done ahead of time as we can. On Sunday mornings she sorta like a zombie! She tells me the first night back is always hard.
You all enjoy the day and tell your mom those prayers are still coming her way! We hope she is back to 100% very soon!
