Hello Skipper~
I hope you are having a wonderful day. I've got the gardeners here to watch. They are outside my window mowing the lawns! Pretty soon Mandy will be woofing to go out just because she likes to smell the fresh cut grass! Mom takes her for a walk everyday and Mandy has decided she likes to walk down to the Starbucks. Do you suppose it's the scones they sell? I always share my scones with her so maybe she figured she just go down there and get us some! I like the way she thinks!!
Mom already went to the market before I even got up! The store is open 24 hours a day. It's less crowded early in the mornings but mom has to put up with freight on the floor and the floor scrubber being used. Since she works nights at a store, she is use to that stuff.
She got me some pecans so I'm looking forward to my snack! I'll be having apples and pecans today! Yum!
I'll be supervising the chores later on and letting mom know how she should do stuff! We all know our parronts would be lost without us!!

I hope everything is going great. It's been nice here but nothing exciting going on. We are finishing up the laundry today. Like I said, boring!
I'm hanging out in the play cage eating my apple and almonds and planning my next attack on that lovely toy hanging there! It's always a good day when I can make a lovely pile of wood at the bottom of my cage!

We tied with Phoenix yesterday as the warmest cities in the US! COOL! That is a first!! I can also just about
guarantee it will be the only time that happens! Usually our weather records tend to be for the wetest place in the US! Today it is back to what May usually looks like up here! We are back to flannel shirt weather!

Hello Skipper~
How are you doing today? It's very pretty here still and I can't believe all the sunshine I am getting to enjoy.
Mom is going to run over to the library and the market soon but she's only going to the market across the street so she won't be gone long. The library is only 3 blocks up the street. I love having it so close so that when I'm done with my picture books mom can get over there and get me more! I truly do love storytime!
Mom and the kids want to go see Iron Man 3 but I don't know when they are going. Everyone has to go somewhere today so they might go tomorrow morning.
Boating season starts here tomorrow and they are going to have a big boat parade up in Seattle. I won't get to see it but I know it's going to fabulous! They do it every year to celebrate boating season!

Hello Skipper~
I hope your day is going great! I have to apologize for not getting around as much as I should. Things got a bit busy and unfortunately, my social time is suffering!
Who knew humans could have so much stuff that needs going thru!!!
Dad took over the storage room so now there is lots of stuff that needs to be put somewhere else or tossed. The whole process is taking much longer than we thought it would. I have suggested that we only keep my toys and anything we need to use for food and toss everything else! Nope! None of that stuff was in the storage room but I think it would be a good thing for all of us to downsize! Toys and food are the most important things so we definately need to keep that stuff! I suppose the dog, the cat and the turtles can stay too!
I'm enjoying my apple right now and enjoying the view from the window. Yes! I have sunshine! It is going to be lovely for the next few days. The way it works up here is that the weekdays are lovely and when the weekend gets here the rain will come back! It's sorta like mother nature likes to tease us!

I do hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm doing just fine. Not much going on around here today. Dad has been cleaning out the storage room to make it into a workshop so mom and I have lots of stuff to find a place for. Mom says some of it can just be sent off to goodwill but it will be interesting to see where she is going to put the rest of it! Mom says that if we haven't used it for a while, it is really time to get rid of it. You can tell that mom doesn't like clutter!
I'm going to hang out in the play cage and supervise the job! I'm very good at supervising and I like to shout out lots of suggestions too!!

How are you little buddy ? Mommy is getting a few notes out before she leaves for school . . . guess who was over to play with me last night ? Yeppers ! Laura ! She and mommy were working on a scrapbook for one of Laura's friends who's getting married. They let me have the paper scraps ! !
How've you been ? It's been really busy here - I got a new cage (the same as the old one) and the first thing I did was dump out my water dish ! Ha haa - daddy says he'll have to Cookie-proof the door !
I bet mommy and daddy have been working on the boat. It's almost time - each time my mom and dad go for a walk along the river there are more boats in at Croton . . .

Sorry to hear about your plumbing problems! I'm glad it all got fixed up. It must have been fun to sit and watch the whole project! I love to sit at the window and watch the gardeners while they mow all the lawns and do the bushes. They sitll didn't plant any flowers out in the front of the complex but I have hopes they will be doing it this Friday.
It's great that you are going to have mom home for a while. Did the kids have their spring break already? Some of the schools up here had it last week and the others are having it this week. I can't understand why they just don't do it all at the same time!!
I spent a lot of time playing on mom this morning. I was running all over the computer chair and just having lots of fun. When I tried to climb down the back several times mom said it was time for a snack and some playtime in my play cage! I'm having fun in here now!

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Kinda slow news day around here. Mom is doing laundry and I am eating apples! I don't mind it being quiet as long as I get to hang out with mom.
Mom got me a bunch of new books from the library so I have been enjoying them. Mom didn't find anything to read but she didn't have a lot of time to hang out there. She'd spend hours there if she could! It's always such a peaceful place.
Mom figured out how to capture pictures from video and other pages where you don't have the save option. She was able to save my avatar in my picture file! Now she is going nuts looking for videos. I'm sure most of the world already knows how to do this but it's a big thing for mom!

I hope you are having a great day! Pretty boring around here! I'm watching Rio while mom gets some notes done for me! She is just too tired to get much done.
She did manage to make some mac n cheese with left over ham in it so I got some mac n peas!
Mom has 2 more nights to work and then we'll get our weekend. I don't know if she has any plans for us but I'm hoping for something fun to do!
Did you see that the Mariners won their first game? Everyone up here says not to get too excited since it's only one game, but I'm very proud of them!!
Did you and Bo enjoy Easter? It was nice here but since mom had to work the whole weekend she would have enjoyed it more if she had gotten some sleep!!

I know that there is still no sign of spring out there for you! It will be here eventually! You might have to put up with a white Easter but I'm sure spring is coming along any time now!
I have been assisting with spring cleaning around here and it has been very interesting!! Mom found 3 extra computer mice in the side table drawer and she thought that was okay since you never know when you might need an extra one! Well in the china cabinet~~yes~china cabinet, there were 3 more! Do you suppose we will ever need 6 extra computer mice??? hehehehehehe This is why I love spring cleaning so much! You never know what you are going to find!!

Stopping by to wish you a very Happy St. Patrick's day! Don't you just love holidays that have special food? I sure do. There is a lovely loaf of soda bread out there and I can't wait to get my beak in it!!!
We got another cold front moving thru today but not really that cold. The daffodils are blooming and there are buds on the trees so I know Spring is very close.
There are all those frogs too! Every night they are out there making all kinds of noise!! I guess they don't realize that I am trying to get my beauty sleep!! Dad says I better get use to it because they will probably be out there for a few months. Bummer!!!
I sure hope the parronts are having a great time! I understand that when they are around the little humans, it's not possible to have a bad time!

I hope your day is going great! Sorry for a c/p today but it's the only way I'm going to get around to all my friends today!
Dad is doing a back-up on the computer right now so it's running very slowly! He really should not have done this when it's my turn to use the puter!
We heard a cool story on the news today about our county library. They wanted to do a food drive for the county food banks. Even tho they say the economy is doing better the amount of people who are using the food banks out here has gone up nearly 40%. Most of those are seniors.
The librarians wanted to do a food drive which is not unusual but to make it more interesting they are writing off fines for food! Every 3 items of food will give you
$10 fine credits! They have had lines down the street at some libraries! One guy had fines from 2006! Boy! That is a really long time!!
I guess books are not the only reason to love a library!

How is everything going with you? I hear you are going to get snow again this weekend! That's not right! Well, the good news is that Spring is now just one month away! I bet all the outside animals will be glad to see it come.
It's raining up here but that is normal for autumn, winter and spring!hehehehehe
Nothing much going on here. I've been supervising house cleaning and just hanging out with mom. I am back to chewing on wood. I've been off it for a while since I got a little chip in my beak and mom wanted to make sure it was completely healed before I started chewing wood toys again. Mom is just being over cautious. I'm sure I've had lots of chips before but mom says it's better to be safe than sorry!! She put some toys together with foam blocks so I had lots of toys to chew wile my beak healed.
You guys stay warm and cozy and I hope the snow is not bad.

I wasn't sure I was going to get to anybirds page today! The BC is having issues! I feel awful for Elvis but his has happened before and I know it will all be fixed very soon. I was a little worried when all I got was the squawk-a-tiel page this morning!
Nothing exciting going on around here but I am having a nice day. I am helping with laundry this morning since mom has to work tonight. She was off last night, works tonigh and then gets Friday night off. The store she works at is having a big sale this weekend and next. I don't really notice much difference since mom works nights and I'm sleeping.
I hope you are all staying warm and cozy! There seems to be some different opinions about how bad the storm is going to be! I'm thinking about you!

Do you think that groundhog is correct and spring is coming early? It doesn't look like that in some places but I've got my toes crossed that he is correct!
We are doing the usual Saturday cooking. It's been all veggies so far and some ground turkey for the dog. I finished off my corn bread so I hope mom will make some more. She is going to make some chilli so I am confidant that corn bread will be on the menu this week.
I sat on her shoulder yesterday while she looked at some recipes online. It sure made me hungry!hahahaha
I would love to watch Bo move all her toys around! I bet it is so very cute!!! Mandy does that too! She has a toy box next to the fireplace and I watch her sit there and go thru it all the time! When anyone walks in Mandy will go get a toy to give them!! She use to do that when she would eat the cats food! She would leave him one of her toys for him as payment for eating his food! His food is now up on the table so she doesn't get to steal it anymore!

Hello Skipper~
How are you??? I'm doing just fine. I have not been getting too many blog done lately just because it's been crazy busy around the house.
They were going to do an inspection of the apartment so mom had to finally finish all the projects she started and never finished!! We did lots of stuff around the house and it looks really good! The corporation who own the place is refinancing so that is why they were doing the inspection. Well, no one showed up!! All that work and no inspection. The only place we saw anyone checking out was the executive apartment over the office building. Oh well! It all had to be done anyway.
Today they were coming over to strap the water heater to the wall. It is in the storage room off the balcony. Mom and dad had cleaned that out last month to get rid of junk so it was easy to empty it for them. I was waiting for the guy to come to the door this morning when he put a ladder up to the balcony and came up that way!!! How strange! We would have been happy to let him in the door! It's all done now so mom has to put the stuff back in there now.
It's our weekend now and since the cleaning is all done we can do whatever we want! I'll be watching the Puppy Bowl on Sunday. We have a Puppy Bowl party every year. If the Seahawks had made it to the Super Bowl, we'd be watching that too but since they didn't I'll just enjoy the Puppy Bowl!!

I hope all is well with you, Bo and the family! Did you get snow?
No snow here but lots of fog lately. I really don't like it at all. It's creepy looking outside and I can't see past the driveway! I'll be glad when spring gets here and I can watch the flowers outside!
It's been quiet around here. Mom took a few days off and did some cleaning. It's really slow at the stores in January so they like everyone to take some vacation time to save hours. Mom doesn't mind since she has lots of vacation time and it's a good chance to catch up on her sleep. She goes back to her regular schedule starting tonight.

How is everything with you? Not much going on around here. It's been a nice new year so far and I sure hope it keeps on like this!
I'm having out watching a cooking show with sister right now. Mom is getting a few more notes done for me before she has to run out for a while. She won't be gone for very long so I'll just stay and watch tv with sister!
Mom has to work for 3 hours tonight since her work for Satruday night did not show up on time. The store is only closed on Christmas day but the offices are closed on every holiday. That puts mom behind. It's only 3 hours. She will tuck me in before she goes but she'll be here when I wake up! It works for me!
Mom is going to take some time off in a few weeks so we'll get to hang out then too. Everything will be getting back to normal now and I'll be happy!!

Your tree sound so very pretty! Mom never put one up. We have the mantle all decorated and there is garland and Christmas cards all over the shoji screen that mom has behind the sofa. She was pretty sure that the cat would destroy the tree and if she isn't out in the living room to watch him the whole thing would be on the floor before anyone else even noticed him! The bells on the bottom of the tree is a brilliant idea!
I have my own stocking and ornament too. Not hanging on my cage tho since I would pull it down in no time. Mom got baskets for the top of my cage to hold my toys and I spend a lot of time pushing them around!
Mom will be glad when the holidays are done. It's been very busy, which is not a bad thing, but mom is pretty tired at this point.
The book sounds so very exciting! I do think your mom should write one about birds. We are such lovely creatures and we do lots of funny stuff too!! I bet she could get lots of stories from you and Bo!
We only got one day of snow. It was perfect since it was mom's night off so we just got to sit and enjoy it without having to go out in it! Mom was telling me that when she was a kid she use to pray for snow so she could get her sled out! She says it's very different when you have to drive a car not a sled!!

Hello Skipper~
I hope all is well with you and the family and Bo!
We are starting the cooking today since mom is working Thanksgiving. Well, she work from 11pm Wednesday night until 7:30am on Thanksgiving. She has to be back at midnigh to get ready for the stores Black Friday sale.
We'll still have time to have a nice dinner together and let her get some sleep before she goes off to work!
It's been very wet up here but that's not unusual for this time of year. The trouble came when we got 24 hours worth of rain in 4 hours. The town where mom's aunt and uncle live got flooded but it's all okay today. At least mom didn't have to work last night so she didn't have to worry about the roads.
You all have a wonderful Thanskgiving! It's a day to give thanks so I must say thank you for being my friend! It's a true blessing in my life!
