VOTE FOR CHI CHI #27169 FOR OUR BOTM!!!
Hey!! I have a favor to ask!! My friend Chi chi, our BOTM candidate, is struggling just a bit on getting votes faster than some other birdies who want to reach a certain milestone. I certainly understand the desire to hit 1K or whatever goal they might have, but Chi chi needs to get her votes all in the month of September. So I need each and every birdy friend who loves Chi chi (or me) to go by her page #27169 every single day to peck her vote button. Can you do that for me please?
Your very own,
Marshall Old Grizzly Kidd

  Greetings from Babycakes
Grandma misses the wild birds of Minnesota. How are you doing? It is so hot here, 105 at 10am yesterday and going to be hotter today. Grandma went to the dr. and said he was very nice and said people should not take prescription drugs, not the first dr. who said this but he could not check Grandma for the head and neck pain from her fall 4 weeks tommorrow. Dont know what kind of clinic it is then. So have to find a doctor who does, he said 2 hours is the nearest, that isnt right. May as well go to Rochester as go to Greely, heehee.

  Hi Ferb
Where ya been, on vacation. Have a drink on me.

ICED MOCHA FRAPPE

Be your own barista. Instead of buying that pricey Frappuccino, whip up a glass of your own for a mere .25 cents. Plus, this rich homemade version has less calories and a quarter of the saturated fat of it's fast-food counterpart.

1/3 cup strong brewed coffee
1/3 cup whole milk
1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
2 tsp. sugar
1 cup ice cubes.

In blender, combine coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, sugar and ice. Blend until mixture is smooth and ice is completely and finely crushed. Pour into tall glass and serve immediately.

Makes 1 serving, takes about 5 minutes

Come visit me, Tweet & Squak.

Hi, there. Here is a toy idea.
You need:
6 popsicle sticks
crochet thread( you can get this at Hobby Lobby)
Beads( Optional)
An awl or something sharp enough to go through popsicle sticks

Instructions:
You may need to double the thread.
Punch holes through both ends of the popsicle sticks.
Make a knot in the end of the thread so that it can not go through the holes.
Thread the thread through hole in the popsicle stick then thread a bead onto the thread. make sure it goes all he way down to the stick. Make another knot a few inches up and thread the thread through a hole in the next stick, then slide down another bead. Keep repeating with all the popsicle sticks, then do the same with the other side of the stick.
You can hang it by the thread.

  Hey Ferb!!
I was wondering if you are not doing anything today if you wanted to come to my belated hatch day party. You and everybirdie is most welcome. It will be all day due to the time zone change thingy.

Grab some grub or grab a bat or club which ever you prefer. Mom set up all the piñatas last night so they're all over the place, just pick a bat and size of fur ball you wanna take a wack at. :) There is enough piñata fur balls for every birdie to take a wack at and even take it home if you couldn’t destroy it here. Take it home to destroy in the privacy of your own home to show your mommy and daddy what you can do. ;0 Check out the food spread, there's all kinds of coconut too, shredded, dried, fresh outta the shell and some in the shell just cut in half, and it’s really neat. Also all the fresh fruit you can imagine. Pig out, or bird out my friend. The strawberry guava is great mom cut it in pieces so it will fit in the boat plates. Also there’s pineapple diced small enough for bite size from a finch to a Zon. :) There’s also fresh papaya, mango, blue berries, strawberries, apples, oranges and also there’s blue berry millet hanging all over the tree twigs so help yourself. This is a really big spread and its also spread all over so no one birdie will ever get board, there’s so much food and stuff to do. :)
This party will last all day and maybe even into the night. :)

I'm gonna be here filling up the pool so everyone can take a dip later on, also we got a diving board too.

  Hi Ferb!!
Thanks for stopping in to visit with me. I have a toy idea to share. Mom makes these for us.....all tha tyou have to do is take two paper lunch sacks and double them up together (one inside of the other). This makes it thicker. Next fill the sack with foot toys, dried treats, dried pasta, etc. Take a leather lace or plastic wire tie and fasten it to the side of the cage. This is a great foraging toy and it is cheap to make. Brown paper lunch bags are about $1-$2 to purchase for a large pkg. of them. Have a good day and thanks for the visit!

I don't know how many of you know how to crochet, but my mommy makes me all kinds of cool toys and she puts beads on them. (Human speaking now) Yes I make crochet flowers with beads on them. If you don't know how to crochet but want to, you can Google Crochet Geek.Com. This is not an advertisment, though. Dont make the thread thats left to long, though. birdie could strangle. happy toy making!

  Shreddy Toy
Thanks for the vote, I gave you one too. Here's an idea for a shreddable toy. Run several pieces of paper through a paper shredder. Fluff up those strips and tie in the middle with a leather shoestring. Hang up for your birds to shred. The bigger the bundle, the more they like it and the longer it lasts. Makes a mess of course, but it is a clean mess!

  Parakeet Toy
Things needed:
1.A plastic golf ball
2.A Mardi Gras necklace (the plastic, colorful kind)
3.Some twine

Steps:
1.Cut the necklace up into 2-3 inch pieces.
2.Tie a piece of twine around one 2-3 inch piece of the necklace.
3.Put the twine through one of the holes in the golf ball.
4.After you've pulled the twine through, tie another piece of 2-3 inch cut of necklace to it.
5.Repeat steps 2-4 several times until you've used all of your cut up pieces of the necklace.

This toy is mainly for parakeets because they love shiny things and they also love to beat up their toys. This toy only takes a few minutes to make and is very easy.

Here's a toy idea to start us off!
Millet Candy Roll-ups:

Things needed:
1. A few buds of millet for each piece of "candy" you make
2.Tissue paper

Steps:
1.First, you are going to cut out a rectangle of tissue paper. It should be about 2x4in.

2.Next, put the buds of millet you pulled off into the center of the tissue paper.

3.Roll up the tissue paper with the millet inside.

4.With your rolled up tissue paper thing, twist the ends to make it look like a piece of candy.

5.Give it to your bird to enjoy!

This toy is great for foraging and makes an awesome foot toy for bigger birds. You could try other yummy treats for your bird, but I've found that millet works the best.
