Hope this finds mom feeling better
I was very glad to discover that Santabird was a very forgiving fellow . . . despite my many indiscretions the past year, he brought me presents ! I was sad when mom put all the Christmas things away =( I kept looking for my stocking stuffed with toys . . . mom says I have to wait till next year !
We haven't had any snow except for a freak Halloween storm ! Mom says that's because she went out and bought new boots this year ! Silly woman ! She's missing it though, cause it is so pretty ! I'm missing it cause it means she stays home to play with me !

It's finally here ! It's Christmas eve ! I made sure mom dropped by your perch with wishes for joy this Christmas - I've been really good - well as good as a quaker can be ! So I'm hoping there'll be a present under the tree for me tomorrow morning !

4 days to Santabird Kiwi !
I've been trying sooo hard to be good - some things I've got down - like I'm really good at shredding books and magazines, flinging food onto walls, and screeching . . . I sure hope Santabird's been watching . . . ho ho ho Merry Christmas !

Yup, there are boxes full of Christmas all over ! The tree is almost ready - eggcept it blocks my view of the outdoor birds at the feeders ! I like to keep an eye on them . . . I wonder who'll do it now ?
I even have Christmasy toys hanging in my cage and mom keeps talking about going shopping but our weather has been cold and rainy so she hasn't been very motivated. As long as there's presents for me !

Mom already started baking for Thanksgiving - there are pies in the freezer with signs on them saying DO NOT TOUCH ! But since I can't read I know they are for dad ! Mom has also been making lists, erasing, rewriting, scribbling out - why ? as long as there's a turkey and dessert, does anything else matter ?

We had a foot of snow
two weekends ago - freak Oct. storm dropped a huge tree limb on mom's new car ! Now it's in the body shop . . . they called on Thursday to say the new hood came in - damaged ! They have to order another ! ugh
When does hunting season start there ? Here it doesn't start until next week . . .

Yep, it's getting pretty chilly here too - not so much in the day, but at night - frost already !
One of my favorite toys is calculator paper - ever try it ? There are so many things you can do with it - sometimes I weave pieces in the bars of my cage, sometimes I wrap it around my perches - sometimes I even wrap it around myself ! Today though, I'm unrolling it and hiding foot toys underneath it on my playgym - mom calls it my fortress of heap !

How good to hear from you
brrr . . . it's been getting chilly here too - no frost, although mom did move my cage away from the back window and pulled out my heavier cover for nights.

What a sad story - congratulations on being in a forever loving home though . . .
So, what games do you like to play ? My favorite is fetch - I throw and mom fetches - heeheehee - I also love to build with calculator paper (my favorite toy !)
