Hey Casey !
How great to hear from you ! I bet it's starting to get really pretty there - I know here in NY it's finally feeling like spring. Dad opened the windows so I can yell at the wild birds and squirrels in MY yard ! Actually, yesterday there were even 2 turkey vultures - BIG and UGLY but kind of cool !
Last weekend I screamed and yelled and screeched and squawked ! Mom finally tucked me in for bed early mumbling about my hormones . . . how about you ? Getting louder in the spring ? What about the rest of the flock ? And then do you get each other going ?

I haven't been by in a while and I do so apologize for that ! How is your winter going ? Do you stay near the water all year ? At least although it's been cold, there hasn't been much snow . . .

How nice to hear from you Casey, flock and Jim
So, did you guys get rain from the nor'easter last weekend ? We got snow ! ! Almost a foot of it ! Coming home from the in-laws took mom 9 hours to go the 13 miles ! AND while she was sitting in the parking lot that is really a road - CRACK - a big limb fell right on the hood of her car ! UGH ! Ironic thing is when she finally got home - guess what was right where she parks ? Yup, a tree limb ! She was going to get it either way ! Now the car is in the body shop . . . they called and said the new hood came for her car - damaged ! Now they have to order another ! Never ending . . . hope things are well there - stay warm ! hugs,

Hi Casey and flock !
How have things been going ? Mom is taking me around to some of my friends I haven't squawked with in a while . . . hey, does the fishing boat still go out now that it's getting cooler ? Seems seasonal . . .

Sounds like an exciting life - if dad has any pictures see if when he has time he can put them up in your gallery ! Mom loves the water . . . she and dad have a lake house - she used to have a small sailboat, but she scared everybody and soon nobody would go out with her . . . traded it in for a pontoon ! She has a good friend who has her captains lisence though and a 32 footer - the parronts both go out on the Hudson River with them.
Mom is lucky - the school where she teaches is right on the Hudson - sometimes though the views from her classroom are distracting to the students ! Long division just can't compete !

Being in the tri-state area of NY, we understand those northeasters ! ! !
So, what kind of ball do you carry around ? I have a big red whiffle ball that I play fetch with - I toss it off the table and mom or dad fetches ! Another favorite game is peek-a-bird . . . what are your favorite games ?

Such a rellief to hear you are all well, we too survived the storm without any personal property damage although our town is a mess - it's Wed. and roads are still closed with flooding (we're right on the Hudson River), downed trees and mud and/or rock slides . . . mom teaches in the next town and her commute went from4 to 13 miles because of a washed away bridge - luckily school doesn't start till the day after Labor Day here in NYCome visit me, Cookie ready for bazbol !, BC Library Now Open & Fly with the angels my Sally.

I missed all my BC friends - you live by the water ? How lucky ! Mom is hoping to put up some pictures of me from vacation later (dad has to upload them into the 'puter first) I had a great time after the first day (when I squawked about the 4 hour car ride !) the water is soooo nice !

I talk too
and even have some word association ! Like when I want a treat I yell "popcorn" and when I want a bath, I yell "wet, wet, wet" and when I want attention I yell (you catching on to the "yell" part ?) "come here" - some of the soft things I say are "gimme kiss" always accompanied with a loud muaahhh ! I also sing 3 songs !
Tomorrow we're leaving on vacation to the family's summer lake house - it has a big screened in porch where I like to hang out and yell "HI" at all the swimmers and boaters passing by !

Hi Casey !
Although mom and dad were not there for my hatching they took me home the day I came out of the nursery - there were 5 in my clutch - mom played with us all and I told her with my snuggles and happy bird sounds that I was the one . . . the rest is history !
I have a ball too ! A big red whiffle ball - dad rolls it around on the table for me to chase - when I catch it I throw it on the floor for him to fetch !
