I am a Blue-and-Gold Macaw from Columbus, IN.

Bop bop,and something that remotely sounds like booo. But if I can't get daddy or mommy to pay attention I ring my one bell to call them.

Blue-and-Gold Macaw

Pine nuts, grapes, pita bread and I love to steal sips of pop but mommy normally catches me first. Oh and macadamia nuts, but they have to be de-shelled, my beak of fury isn't quiet that strong yet.

On daddy's shoulder or head, but I'm not supposed to sneak up there. Then I guess just on the couch with my family in the main room so I can wander across the couch to talk both mommy, daddy, and my brothers (cats) normally, and even my sister (bunny), but she normally ignores me.

Mommy and/or daddy leaving eye sight, or heaven forbid not chatting back when Blue asks where we are. Of course also any scary sudden movements are also upsetting, and when her brothers (cats) sneak up behind her and touch her tail stealthly : )

Well mommy is ok sometimes, she always feeds me yum yums and talks with me, but best is when she plays "disapear" behind daddy and then re-appears out of thin air! It always makes me fluff a bit it relief.

And i love everything about daddy. Especially when he helps me peel off all my itchy molting feathers I can't reach.

I'm a macaw, everything I do is quirky! But I suppose the strangest one is that the only fruit I like to eat and won't spit out are grapes; and when I eat them I bite a hole in the skin, then lean my head back so grape juice gets in my mouth, drink the juice, then lean head back and repeat. Mommy and daddy think its adorable. And I can laugh, i say " ha ha ha" and almost always mommy or daddy will laugh back with me, so we can keep laughing with each other for a long long time..

If that perch is higher up, I will and should be up there right now..
