 I went to a bird convention where a bunch of bird breeders and other people came together to sell birds, cages, and supplies. I've been wanting a cockatiel ever since I recieved my other birds (Two budgies: Moe and Sonny) and read up on them and started to want one. So there was bird stuff as far as the eye can see. So I went up to a cockatiel lady and asked if I could see all of them, and she said yes. I picked up each one. She asked me if I were looking to buy one, and I said yes. I told her that I mowed lawns to earn my money (I am only 13 years old) and she said that they were a hundred bucks but that she would lower the price to seventyfive dollars JUST for me because she said that she liked kids who were hard workers and earned there own money. Now you may think that seventyfive dollars is a lot for cockatiels, but they were already tamed and loved to cuddle. So I ended up buying one that I didn't choose, she chose me! Now she loves me so much that she doesn't even want to be in the cage, just snuggle with me. And thats all in one day. When I first braught her home, she was shy and quite, but now after having her for a while, she won't shut up saying "LET ME OUT OF THE CAGE!!!!" She also likees hanging out with Captain.. |

Hi! My name is Chessie
I am a Cockatiel from cleveland, OH.

Chessie loves these small uncoocked noodles that we give her.
 Even though I'm the one who baught Chessie and trained her and all that, she favors my Dad and likes to hang out on his shoulder while he works on the computer.
 Every time we come home from something that even may have been five minutes, as soon as she hears the door open she lets out huge long shrieks of joy saying "LET ME OUT!!!" If you think that may be because of us not paying too much attention to her, then your dead wrong. After she annoys us enough (which is usually three minutes) we take her out and sit with her. Then after spending alomost the entire day with you (no lie) and put her in her cage at the end of the day, you're thinking "Oh, so now your quiet". Chessie loves attention so much that sometimes we even take her for rides in the car, and not just to the vet. It's totally clear that she loves being the center of attention. Chessie can be a mooch. One time I was eating some crackers and she crawled down from my shoulder and snathed a half bitten on from my hand and ate the whole thing. Over all though, she is a very sweet cockatiel. If you met her, you'd agree.
 He scritches me on the cheeks, neck and pets my back. It all feels so good.
 Chessie sometimes thinks that she is a bigger bird and tries to use her feet to grab stuff even though cockatiels feet are to far back on they're bodies. Another thing is that when you get close to her, perk your lips and say "kisses", she'll nuzzle her beak to you and lightly give you a little birdie kiss. She also knows how to wolf wistle..
 IS SOMEONE HOME???!!! Oh please take me out of the cage and PET ME!!!!!!!!!.
