 Livi became my pet when she "picked me." She was formerly owned by my bosses wife. I worked in their home office, and Livi would join us for lunch. For nearly a year, she paid absolutely no attention to me and was fully bonded to by boss's wife. We ate lunch in their kitchen each day, and one day, Livi came over to me and started chewing on the wax paper that held my sandwich. Then I gave her a piece of bread and she became more interested in my lunch and me. After no more that about 10 days, she perched on my hand and began crawling up my arm to see me. Within a very short time she totally bonded with me, and my boss's wife was gracious enough to sell her to me. I was not a "bird person", and had never owned a bird before, and I must say this bird experience has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. I don't know what I would do without her.. |

Pretty green Olivia
Hi Olivia, you are a pretty green parrotlet, just like me.
I'm 5 yr old Cha-Cha. I had lead poisoning too. I tried to help pick some souder tidbits off ther floor after the plumber/welder guy left. Janet had sweep the floor, but I found some wee bits the sweeper missed. I got really sick and huddled at my cage bottom. Mom knew something serious was going on when I upchucked twice on her that morning. Our Avian vet x-rayed me, and I was glowing inside. Medicine and lots of care got me through all this. I loved to fly all over the house but would only land on Janet's head, or my 3 play stations/gyms. Life was a breeze till I broke my back, but I survived, however I am paralyzed. I can't stand or perch.
I'm healthy and you stay that way too.

Hello Olivia
Mom got me a new hanging playstand but i like my cage better. Although i do get on it for her every now and then. Mom wants to get us harnesses to but it won't do me much good she cliped my wings again 2 days ago. she said i was flying to much around the door and with kids runing in and out it was to much of a risk. maybe next time they grow out i will be used to wearing my harness so i can fly outside. I was real touch about my wings too but mom just kept up toudhing and rubbin under them so now i don't mind. Hope you have a great day Joe JoeCome visit me, Khloe, Chloe, Miss Prissy & Joe Joe.
