I searched locally for someone breeding CAGs and once found waited for his hatching. Then I became involved in his handling while the breeder was hand feeding him until he was ready to come home with me.

My name is Gilbert I am an African Grey from Everton, AR. no 4 years old M African Grey 1. nonfat, non-salted pretzels 2. original recipe cheerios 3. almonds & walnuts 1. on my play stand in mom's craft shop. 2. on my portable perch anywhere on the kitchen island while mom's preparing food or anywhere else she might be located 1. mom leaving the house 2. being put in my cage She is home a lot and keeps me near her. I love her interaction, both when talking to me and the head scritches in the evening. Finger-wars are especially fun right before I go to bed! 1.trying to take a bath in my drinking water whenever mom runs the vacuum 2. picking at my feet whenever I want something & mom isn't moving fast enough. Our pets deserve the best we can give them. After all, they didn't ASK to come and live with us..
