do not try to own a hyacinth macaw unless you have space for it they are also very dangerous and expensive

Hello again!
That's great that Sora is eating well! At least you can have a good feeling he is not sick. I once found a peach-fronted conure on my front lawn with a broken wing. I took him in and we had been like best friends for about 5 years. Unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago. After I found him I brought him to the vet to see if his wing could be fixed, he too was holding it at an odd angle and wouldn't allow anyone to touch it. The vet explained to me that it was an old wound that had healed that way. The only way they could fix it was to break the wing again and put it in a splint to heal correctly. I asked if he felt any pain the way it was, and no he didn't. I opted not to. I hope this helps!Come visit me, Cookie & Yoshi.

Help for a Broken Wing
Hello again.....a broken wing is a delicate thing and needs special care. I hope you have an avian vet in your area, or sometimes a generral vet will do. You can call a wild life rehabilatator (best bet). They will give advice or help set the wing. All the best and lots of love. Please let us know what happens...we care!!
