When my mommy and daddy leave the room.. i just love the attention that they give me..i am spoiled..thats what mommy says anyways... That she sings to me everyday and blows and gives me so many kisses..my mommy cant sing and i try and tell her but i love her and it soothes me...my mommy is funny.. I start ringing and kissing with my bell and it makes mommy and daddy laugh.... Im just a cute kissegirl...

It's great t'hear from you and know you're doin' okay. I wish I would've made it to your page right after you stopped by but I've not had much luck gettin' mom t'sit down and type a whole bunch for me lately. Today must be my lucky day, huh?

Your Easter Egg hunting sounded like fun. You're a sweetie t'do whatever it takes to keep your mom laughin'. Happy humans are the best kind and if you ask me, a bird's good at makin' the smiles happen. I've been keepin' myself busy with wood chunkin' and t-shirt shredding and what not. It's been warm enough a couple of times for me t'get to go outside for a little while but it's still a hit n'miss thing. Take t'day, it's beautifully sunny out but too breezy for a parrot (and a wet one now 'cause I just had a bath) t'be outside. Warmer days are comin' which is very encouraging.

Thanks bunches for stoppin' by t'say "Hi". Here's hopin' we can talk more often through the coming months.

I am glad to read that you are once more back on BC. Life can get pretty busy at time. It sure does around here. hehehehe
I keep watching for spring, but again today it has failed to appear. It was suppose to be sunny and mild. Well, it isn`t. Oh well, soon enough.
It`s be fun to have a play date sometime soon and go to the park. I have a big one right across the street from me.

I'm so happy that you are fine ... just busy. I won early for BOTM and I'm still doing my derby campaign and pics daily. Hope you can check them out when you have time.
The rose first became associated with the Derby via a party. Ladies were each presented a rose at a Louisville Derby gathering. Upon seeing the sensation this caused, Colonel M Lewis Clark, founder of Churchill Downs and The Kentucky Derby, made the rose the official flower of the race. The rose garland now synonymous with the Kentucky Derby first appeared in 1896 when the winner received a floral arrangement of roses. In 1904 the red rose became the official flower of the Kentucky Derby. Each year 554 roses are sewn into a green satin backing with the seal of the commonwealth of Kentucky on one end. On the other end is the Twin Spires with the number of the running. The Kroger Company has been the official florist of the Derby since 1987. It is constructed the night before in view of the public.
The winning jockey receives a bouquet of 60 long stemmed roses wrapped in ten yards of ribbon.

How are you? How's the New Year been so far? You're so sweet to come by and wish me a good one. In the six years of being a part of the BC I've never been so tardy in gettin' my carcass back to a friend's page with a note. Such a bummer for me...

Anywho, that's funny that you stayed up with daddy to watch the ball drop on NYEve but mommy fell asleep. You're quite the trooper, stayin' awake that late. Me, I was out like a light with the sun. What a baby, huh? Neither one of my parrots were awake when the clock struck twelve but my grandparronts, now those two, they're troopers like you; they hiked up the road out front of their house until they were at the top and could see Pikes Peak's New Year's Eve firework display. And it was COLD out but they said the excitement of the event kept them warm. That and the hike to get to the top helped too.

Not much exciting t'share from here. There's been a lot of snow piled up here and there in my yard since that midwestern blizzard back before Christmas but this week has been warm enough t'melt the snow and t'day it's supposed t'rain so I think that'll be the last of the white stuff I can see out my windows. I've been busy tossing my favorite t-shirt around, chewing up leather strips and wooden blocks, and of course looking for treats. Mom's forever tucking stuff all over the room. I say put it in the bowl, but she says that would be too easy t'find. The other day I got a little brown paper sack handed to me. It had been folded up and tied with string and inside I could hear things rattling. Turns out my sunflower seed treat for the day was inside and I had to work t'get them out. Turns out that was sorta fun!

It is my pleasure to meet you. You are Little Angel's friend. I scare Momma all the time. I say, tippy toe-tippy-toe-tippy-toe then scream PEEK and she jumps. Somethings I do it so well she jumps and drops things. Then I laugh and sign--"I see YOU". Momma laughs too but she looks like she saw a ghost or something.
Stop over anytime we can be friends and maybe go do something fun, like ski at the KB or take a bike ride, sometime. Rally

I had heard about your Grandpa. I am truly sorry for the loss. I will pray for your Mom and Grandma as well as you. It is very hard to cope at times. I have missed you, but knew in time when you were able you'd visit again. I am here for you sweetie whenever you need me.

Oh my goodness, I never thought about the fact you live in West Virginia. Actually, for some odd reason, I was thinkin' you lived in AL!! Boy, was I wrong. And because of that, I didn't come by your page to let you know I was thinkin' of my storm-ravaged friends. The other night I was runnin' all over the BC tellin' friends in the storm's path that I was thinkin' of them and hopin' so hard that they'd be okay. I'm sorry I didn't know to include you in that group. I will from here on out. In fact, I've put "WV" beside your name on my BC list.

I'm really glad you're okay and that all the nasty wind and rain didn't wash you away. I'm so sorry your Grama got hit hard though. Is her home damaged? Is she without power? Can she get out and about t'places she needs t'go? It's terrible how many places were ruined and how many lives were taken. Breaks my heart t'think about all of it.

I don't get any trick or treaters here either 'cause I live out in the middle of basically nowhere. Kids always head for town where the houses are close t'gether. They're too far apart out here in the country.

Oh man, I'm so glad you're okay following the storm. Thanks SO much for comin' by and lettin' me know.

It makes me feel happy to hear you say you're doing okay, all things considered. You have a really important job, keepin' your mom entertained and smilin'. You're so cute, I bet that's not too hard of a job 'cause all you'd really need t'do is just be yourself!

Time for a wing trim, huh? Do you mind bein' rolled up in a towel to have that done? I actually love to be wrapped up in a blanket and have my beak and feet worked on. I know that's sort of weird, but it's true. It gets the people at the vet's office t'laughin' when I just lay there on my back, my head sticking out, sayin' "Hello, Hello!"

Just wanted you t'know I was thinkin' of you again and that I'm wishin' you and your mom a very nice week. Looks like there's gonna be some rain to start your week out with.

We were very surprised to see our angel Bailey as BOTD. We want to thank you for remembering him so. It was a happy but sad moment to hear his favorite song, The Lion Sleeps Tonight (or as we sang it for him … The Bailey Sleeps Tonight). He loved to dance to it. It’s hard to believe that he is gone. Thank you to our BC family for this honor. He had so many wonderful friends.

RaneBeau here to check on you and see how you're doin'. I can imagine that even though some time has passed, the loss of your Grandpa is still hard to believe. I know I would feel that way if someone in my family died. If I might ask, how old was your Grandpa?

I wonder what you've been doing for entertainment. Me, I've been having a riot of a time shredding an old shirt mom gave to me. You can see it under my feet in a picture on my page. The keys that are there on the floor are aslo a riot to bang on the tile — they make a tremendous racket which of course makes a parrot feel very satisfied, right? I hope you're finding lots of little things that bring a smile to your beak.

It's great to see you again. We are so sorry about Grandpa, and understand why you haven't been here for awhile. Tell mom it's okay to take the time she needs to grieve, though. We've had a busy time lately. Mom got a phone call this morning that her sewing machine is ready to pick up, so it's going to be a long day of confinement for us, I fear. She's going to the pool, naturally, when she finishes our blogs, then when she comes home, she will shower, feed the squirrels, then pick up her sister. They will drive for the hour it takes to pick up the machine, then have dinner out, probably. So by the time she gets home, it will be time to feed the babies again. Probably it will be time to feed the dogs, too. Then our cages will get cleaned, and we'll get out of jail for awhile before bed. Hope your day will be better, for sure. Hugs, Falco

I'm so sorry to hear that your grandpa has passed away. How your mom must miss him. The family just doesn't feel complete after someone's died and it takes so long to not hurt from their absence. You've got quite the task, being the responsible one for cheering mom up. If anybirdie can do it though, I know you can. A look at that cute little face of yours is bound t'bring on some smiles.

I feel lucky to be able to say that all is good here with me. It's been a beastly hot summer with little to no rain until just recently. Most of the yard had died to a sorry shade of brown but after a couple of heavy rains, the grass is green again. Just in time to be covered by leaves falling from the trees.

Thanks for stopping by. I was excited when I saw it was a note from you. I just wish you'd been able to bring happy news instead of the terribly sad stuff.

Oh, it's so good to hear from you. It takes time but the sadness is there. Remember all the happy good times, that helps.
My mom just lost her Auntie the 28th of July. Now, all of mom's family is gone. Just some distant cousins she never sees. She feels like an orphan.

So good to hear from you. Happy that your G-Pa is doing better but, sorry your Mom has to work 2 jobs ... that's not fun. Maybe you can come and visit every once in a while cause you are missed!
We are having nasty cold weather. Today was 54 degrees. The next 7 days are in the 50's and 60's and rain. Can't remember this time of year being so cold for so long.
I'm doing better health wise. Did you know that I had pneumonia and then I had nares surgery? I just have allergies now. My problems are all from my first year. I was neglected at my first home (feed moldy food etc). Now, I'm doing pretty good.

Well, I had nares surgery on May 1st. I'm doing good and will be off the meds on Tuesday. My story is on my page under medical update.
This past weekend was my Mom's Kentucky Derby Party. They had tons of fun.
The Milonga Derby is this Saturday, May 12th. Hope you can come. Put on a derby hat and party at the Milonga Downs.

What a cute pic of you!!
Apollo flying by. Sorry it took me so long to fly back for a visit. We lost our grammie (moms moms) the end of February and mom has been a real mess and a half. She needed a little time to come to terms with her loss, so we lost our typist for a spell. She is doing much better now and we are so happy to be able to reunite with the BC and our friends!!
Anyhow, whats new? Anything exciting?

I'm so glad that all is well now. You and Mom can take care of each other and relax. I'm better but still coughing/sneezing. I have two more weeks before I go back. Don't know if I'll get more meds or surgery or what? I hope it's not surgery on my nares.

Yes, I'm done with the nasty pneumonia. But, I have an upper respiratory infection. I'm waiting for my lab results to come back. And, in a month or so, I'll be having surgery on my partially blocked nares. One step at a time to health!

Yes, I'm sick. I went to the vet today and found out I have pneumonia. Mom is upset cause that is what got Bailey. I have to take meds daily for 10-12 days and then go back to the vet for a check up. I'm so grateful for all the prayers, I need them. I hope that you and your family will all feel better too.

I have removed nearly all of my feathers now. Momma took pictures she will download soon. I wish I could stop but I just can't.

V4U. I am glad you are ok, you had me worried. How is Grandpa? It's so hard when our humans get sick, or go away on us. We just don't understand it. Momma says I bite when I kiss so I don't get to kiss often. Me, I try to keep out of trouble but some how it finds my cage.
I nearly lost my head for being in Sky's cage and he caught me eating out of his bowls. Momma saved me and as soon as she put me down on my cage I was back over at Sky's. I can't fly but I sure can run fast hehehehe
The weather is great. 58f today.

Hope Grandpa is okay pretty soon. Mom just got back from an outing with her granddaughter, they spent the day at the National Aviary. Mom says they had an amazing flamingo encounter, just the 2 of them got to go into the wetlands and down among the flamingos with a staff person. It was wonderful to be that close to them! Those birds are really pink and tall. Of course, she couldn't take us with her, they would not have let her in, or so she says. I don't know, you'd think a bird place would let birds in before they'd consider letting humans in, but I believe mom. Hope you are having a good day, we will, now that mom is home at last! Good to hear from you. As you can see from the photos, we got a lot of snow last week, 29 inches total. It was bad with no power for days. But, we are all ok. The temp was 50 today and the snow is melting fast. It should be warm (50's) all week so, I hope it all melts!
Sorry to hear that your grandpa is in the hospital. We hope he recovers soon, sending prayers and hugs.
I think when there are changes in our routines, we tend to bite. I've been biting in the last couple of days. I call it snow stress. When Mom yells, I look at her very surprised. Did I do that? I know you don't mean it.
